Being Wrong About God

We know the story. Joseph did what he could to physically avoid her constant temptations to lie with her. But he wanted nothing to do with and would not yield. Discerning the Times: CV-19 and Fear God, Shun Evil

But what is interesting about Job is even though he feared the LORD at the outset, God allowed Satan to put that fear of the LORD to the test. What is fascinating about the whole thing is that Job came out of the entire situation with an even greater fear of the LORD! This was the result of His delight in the fear of the Lord. This fear blessed Him with a resultant righteousness and godly knowledge. Do you want that?

Fear God and Live

The subject is fearing the Lord, something that I believe too many Christians (including me), fail at miserably. It happens because we do not focus on our obligation to fear Him because we are often too focused on His mercy, love, and grace. While those things are clearly important, without balancing things out with a healthy profound reverential awe and respect for Him, we become one-sided and truly off balance.
