Numbers 15 – Sabbath Breaker Stoned
We have laws for the benefit of all in society. Justice is supposed to be blind, but too often, it has been overruled by the rich and powerful, who work for outside influences. The tide needs to turn back to the rule of law as outlined by the Constitution of the United States of America.
Q Posts February 11/12: Big Pharma
What does this mean? It seems to mean that those individuals who control our health (either by way of the food we eat or the prescriptions and drugs we are given (or withheld from us), are “chattering” about the fact that people are waking up to the fact that BP and BF are getting rich off of us in spite of the fact that we’re getting sick. It’s almost as though BF and BP work hand in hand. We eat what is sold as food, though by the time processing gets done with it, it’s only food in name and taste. The ingredients tell the story. Once we eat a few decades of the garbage being processed, our immune systems weaken to the point that if we carry a cancer gene or some other gene related to ill-health (and we all do), eventually those genes will be triggered by the terrible foods we eat. People develop all sorts of terrible illnesses. No problem though, right? BP is here to help. They trot out their chemo therapy and other things that are extremely hard on our systems and in many cases, people die anyway or if they are “cured” (the same disease comes back later because people do not change their lifestyles and eating habits.
Numbers 10 through 14: Complain, Complain, Complain
God basically gave Aaron and Miriam a good talking to and explained that He reveals Himself to whomsoever He wills. In the case of Moses, God assured the two that He spoke to Moses as one many speaks to another. Basically, God was telling Miriam and Aaron to mind their own business and stop questioning Moses or God. When God left their presence, Miriam had become leprous. Aaron was unaffected. I’m going to assume this was so because Miriam might have been the instigator here. Maybe she had become jealous of Moses and his new wife. Even though Miriam was Moses’ sister, she may have taken a less important role after Moses remarried. This could have been the reason. Aaron obviously had concerns or he would not have joined with Miriam, but it’s possible that like Eve, Miriam brought out his desires into the open, whereby he sinned. In the end, they both learned a very valuable lesson.
Mosaic Law was Overwhelming and It was Meant to Be
In Numbers 7, we learn about the dedication of the Tabernacle. The entire process took twelve (12) days to complete! A great many animals were sacrificed in the process as well. Finally, when everything was in place, the Lord took up residence above the Mercy Seat in the Holy of Holies and spoke to Moses from there (Numbers 7:89). Consider just how many animals needed to be sacrificed in order to complete the dedication of the tabernacle. No less than 12 bulls, 71 rams, 72 lambs a year old, 72 goats, and 24 oxen were sacrificed over a period of the twelve days. This does not even include the shekels, the flour and grain also offered during the dedication of the tabernacle.
All Those Rules and Regulations Speaks to Depravity
We arrive to today realizing that people are simply perverse and stupid. Often animals act more like humans than other humans. That is a sad commentary on society but in many ways it’s true. Why? Because people have set God’s rule aside and adopted their own values based on emotional virtue and political correctness. People today have little problem sleeping around and doing the very things that God warned the Israelites not to do.
