The following video (linked below – 1), is something I want to share with readers. It’s from Pastor Brian McKinney, who is senior pastor of The House in Chattanooga, TN.

We’ve visited the church numerous times and have always been blessed by his messages. He just began a series on the book of Daniel and this is the first sermon in that series. I strongly urge all readers to take the time to view it.

Brian brings a nuanced understanding of the not only the background of Daniel’s life during that particular time in history when Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon had reached the pinnacle of its power, but also the spiritual implications involved. He clearly and succinctly applies the truth of Scripture to our lives. We’d best take notice and understand that what Babylon did with the young Jewish men when Babylon’s armies took those men away from Israel to Babylon. Babylon did not outright kill or enslave their captors. They did something far worse. They essentially sought to reprogram the young Jewish men by brainwashing them. Babylon spent three years removing the connection the men had with their former life and all aspects of Judaism, replacing these things with the gods and beliefs of the Babylonian system.

Pastor Brian asserts (and I fully agree), that the system of Babylon is alive and well today and by being empowered by Satan, works to cause Christians to forget our faith, to go along with the world, and to essentially, leave God in the dust. The enemy is very hard at work today to rewrite the inherent spiritual identity of all believers in the United States.

While in some places in the world today, Christians are enslaved and many are murdered. But not to in the USA. For believers in the USA, Satan has chosen to do with Babylon did thousands of years ago and what Hitler did during WWII, when he had formed many “Hitler Youth” associations with the main aspect of them being to do exactly what Babylon did with the young Jewish men brought to Babylon from Judah (aged between 15-19).

Babylon changed the names of the young men, with their new names pointing deliberately and directly to false gods of the Babylonian system. They also very possibly made them eunuchs to deny them their manhood. Then they gave them the best food and wine and took the time to educate them. Only a few men – Daniel and his three friends – managed to continue holding onto the God of Israel in spite of their forced name changes and other things. They never forgot who they were and kept themselves from being identified with Babylon’s system of degradation.

Believers today in the United States are faced with the very same treatment Babylon foisted on the young men of Judah, whether we realize it or not. We are forcefully told that supporting Israel is anathema, that not going along with the LGBTQ+ position is homophobic or something else. Christians are continually being pushed to the side and the vast majority of society wants Christians to simply stop talking. As Brian notes, it’s all right if we continue going to church, but we need to keep it there. Our religious life needs to be private so as not to offend anyone else. The “news” media is constantly attempting to force society to accept their versions of everything, in order to warp minds and reject truth that has been accepted. The goal is to make people conform to the new world order’s paradigm.

Jesus wasn’t concerned about offending someone. He refused to set the truth aside to save someone’s feelings. He knew it was truth and truth alone that set people free.

Christian, in what ways might we be compromising today? In what ways are we not honoring God out of fear of offending those on the Left?

We need to stand up for what is right and true. We need to be far more concerned about bringing glory to God than getting attaboys or high-fives from the world.
