Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt Crucifying Dissenters

August 18, 2012 at 9:28 AM

Anyone who stands against the newly installed government in Egypt is going to pay the price.  Apparently, that includes being crucified.  According to several news outlets, both Christians and non-Christians are being brutalized by President Morsi’s regime.

Raymond Ibrahim, a fellow with the Middle East Forum and the Investigative Project on Terrorism, said the crucifixions are the product of who the Middle Eastern media call “partisans.”  He went onto say that “extra brutality is reserved for Christians, but the crucifixions are because of Islamic doctrine and are required by the Quran. The time and other details about the crucifixions were not readily available.”

According to the Qur’an, crucifixion is not merely an option, but actually mandated within Islam.  ”

Crucifixion is a hadd punishment, stipulated in the Quran, Sura 5:33, and therefore an obligatory part of Shariah,” Center for Security Policy Senior Fellow Clare Lopez said. “It’s been a traditional punishment within Islam since the beginning, even though it’s not exclusively Islamic. The Romans used it too.

So, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood haven’t the option to not include crucifixion within their legal code. It’s obligatory to comply with Shariah. And yes, it’s for shock value also to be sure,” Lopez said.

Weighing in on this, Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs stated, “The Christians are in serious trouble, because the Quran in Sura 9:29 commands Muslims to wage war against them and subjugate them, and they’re also identified with the hated West and the U.S.

The senselessness of this is unfortunately, very real.  What people do not see is that this is what Islam with the support of Sharia Law does to a nation.  Originally, the Muslim Brotherhood said that they would have a “hands off” policy with respect to offering a candidate for president of Egypt.  That quickly changed when the Brotherhood threw its hat in the ring with Morsi.  Having “won” the election, he has begun to clamp down on anyone who is opposed to his government and Islam in general.

This is – to some degree – what we are beginning to see here in the United States.  Two days ago, an ex-Marine was arrested for his posts on Facebook where he made statements showing his disapproval for the U.S. Federal government.  Agents from both the FBI and Secret Service arrived to his home to verify his comments.  After admitting that he made the statements on his FB page, he was promptly arrested.  The comments were not threatening anyone nor were they terrorist in nature.  He simply disagreed with policies that the current administration has made and has been arrested for it.

Interestingly enough, he is being charged with resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer, both of which he says he is innocent of doing.  He stated he complied immediately with their statement that he was under arrest for what he had posted on Facebook.  You can read about that here if you’re interested:

The Muslim Brotherhood has been given at least 1.5 BILLION dollars by the United States!  This means that money that could have gone to improve our infrastructure, or to create jobs, or to go into schools or any numbers of other things was not available because Mr. Obama decided to give the money to his Muslim brothers.  The photo at the top of this article shows what is happening in Egypt on a daily basis.  It is a photo of a Christian church being burned to the ground by the Muslim Brotherhood.  You don’t hear about this on the lamestream news because they are under orders to not present this type of news.

For people who do not believe that we are in the End Times or that things are culminating toward the big reveal of the final man of sin that Paul speaks about in 2 Thessalonians 2, it just seems too obvious to me.  We should not ignore what is happening around the globe, but neither should we stop evangelizing the lost because of getting too wrapped up in the problems that are facing this world.

Open your Bibles, read about what Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jesus, Paul, John and others have to say about these End Times.  These times are upon us and we need to be aware of all that is happening in this world from a biblical perspective in order to be better witnesses of His salvation to those who are dying.

Do not give up the ship.  Things are getting bad; very bad.  However, this doesn’t mean that Christians dig a hole in the ground and hide.  It means that we trust Him to be our strength, provide us with discernment, and generally help us to be and remain active witnesses to the truth.  He will provide for us what we need to remain true to Him.
