What is the Mark of the Beast?

The Six-Pointed Star

There has been much debate about what this particular mark or sign will be during the Tribulation period.  It seems that the most we know about it is that it will have something to do with the numbers “666.”

Over the years, people have indicated that it is the UPC or ISBN code, which does have a 666 built into every individual code, one at the front, one in the middle, and one at the end.

Others more recently have arrived at the conclusion that it is going to be some sort of micro-chip that will be implanted just under the skin.  This particular micro-chip, it is said, will have a great deal of information about the individual housed in within the confines of that tiny chip.

Besides these concepts and ideas, there are any other numbers of ideas related to what the mark of the beast will be.  The truth is that though some of these ideas are interesting, it is impossible to say with certainty what the mark will be.

Recently, in doing some research that began with Russ Dizdar’s book “The Black Awakening,” there were a number of Internet links indicated by Dizdar that provided a good bit of information about the Satanic bloodline that could possibly result in the Antichrist and False Prophet.  Beyond this, the concept of the mark of the beast was discussed in depth.

While I’m quoting some of the information (in quotation marks), I am not going to reference the source, simply because Pastor Dizdar asks readers not to do so.  This is additional free information for those who buy his book, either in hard copy or as an ebook.  I will certainly respect that wish.

Regarding the mark of the beast, we should bear in mind that whatever Satan attempts to achieve, he does so by way of counterfeiting something that God has or will accomplish.  Often, Satan tries to get his counterfeit in first, thereby causing more people to believe that his is the real thing.

The coming Antichrist is a case in point.  Many believe that the Antichrist is the real Christ (of course, his name will NOT be Antichrist, which is a title given him by Scripture).  Because this future man of sin will establish himself as the world’s savior immediately following great cataclysmic chaos that will have just occurred throughout the earth – economic, religious, political, and civic (or military), Antichrist will be lauded as the Christ, the one who the world has been waiting for to arrive, to right all wrongs, and bring in everlasting peace.

Obviously, it would not do for the Antichrist to make his entrance after Christ has returned.  It would be impossible at any rate, so Satan is directed of all his evil, his power, and his malevolence to bringing Antichrist on the scene before Jesus returns.

We know that at one point during the coming Tribulation, Antichrist requires everyone to have some sort of mark.  It is called the mark of the beast (cf. Revelation 13:16-18) as it represents in some way, the Antichrist himself.

There has also been a great deal of discussion concerning the make up of this coming Antichrist.  Most scholars (who believe that the Antichrist is an actual individual) believe that he will somehow be a full incarnation of Satan himself.  How this is accomplished we do not know.  We can take the time to study the Nephilim (human-angel hybrids) from Genesis 6, but suffice it to say that there is great disagreement on this subject.  Many have a difficult time believing that angels would be able to find a way to procreate with human beings.  This is in spite of the fact that the three “angels” that appeared to Abraham on their way to destroy Sodom did things that normal human beings routinely did, like eat for instance (cf. Genesis 18).

People often get sidetracked by statements that Jesus Himself made regarding angels.  He stated that the angels are neither married nor given in marriage (cf. Matthew 22:30; Mark 12:25).  People read this and they think it says “the angels are sexless.”  However, that is not what Jesus is saying.  He is saying that in the resurrection, saved individuals will be like the angels who are simply not married.  People in the afterlife will not be married, just like the angels are not married.  Jesus says nothing about whether angels can procreate.  They can eat, wear clothing, drink beverages, walk and (I’m assuming) leave footprints, etc., so the implication is that they have bodies, which are glorified, or perfected bodies, unlike ours are now.

Frankly, I’m beginning to believe that this misinterpretation surrounding angels is designed by Satan and I will tell you why by quoting Warren Weston and his work “The Father of Lies” (1938).

Referring to occultism (and he was the foremost authority on it at the time), he states, “The fundamental doctrine of magic (more correctly, magick) is phallisicm.  New life is created by the act of generation (the argument runs): therefore the life force is generated by the sexual forces, the union of male and female elements.” (emphasis added)

In essence then, phallisism is worship of the sex organs and sexual union itself.  There are many representations of this in ancient cultures such as Egyptian and even the Knights Templar’s phallic god in their Maltese Cross.  Weston continues, “Their phallic God is therefore hermaphroditic or bi-sexual. The sexual organs are considered sacred, while the rites and rituals are designed to liberate the passions and the natural instincts from the control of (wait for it) reason. The novice must denounce as fraud the existence of a moral order, together with that of its creator. This is the exact reverse of what the Bible stands for.

“The creation of the universe (according to the phallic adepts) is the work of the hermaphrodite god. The universe was not created but procreated or engendered by him in successive stages. The god himself is supposed to have been the original and unique emanation of the divine substance of which all things are made. In this role the god is known as Pan, the first principle of nature.   Thus man is placed on a par with his creator: both are divine and immortal; man therefore creates when he procreates.”

We can readily see that this deliberately reverses the natural order or emphasis in life and is simply another form of worshiping the creature rather than the Creator as Paul pointed out in Romans 1 and following.  So what does this have to do with the Mark of the Beast?  Quite a bit, but without giving you some background, your first question would be, “How did you arrive at that point?”

Back to the point is that there is an excellent possibility that Antichrist will be of the seed of Satan (Genesis 3) and because of that, will be a completely human-satanic hybrid, something Dizdar calls “homosatanous.”  This hybrid will be the complete physical embodiment of Satan and will appear to be human, for all practical purposes, to the rest of the world.  However, his abilities in the esoteric, as well as level of genius will far surpass any human being who has ever lived (except Christ of course, who was fully God and fully Man).

This is probably the greatest reason why Antichrist is also referred to as the “beast” throughout Revelation.  A “beast” in this sense, is a mixture of at least two things.  We call wild animals “beasts,” but the more proper understanding of a beast is something that is mixed from something else.

If the Beast (Antichrist) is a mix of human-Satan, then this would be the result of some type of diabolical regeneration or incarnation that takes place with Satan and the human race, or someone specific within the human race.  In Revelation 13:16-18, the text states, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”  Please pay careful attention the last sentence, verse 18.  The mark of the beast includes the number of man, or IS the number of man.  So what?  What does that mean?

As mentioned, since within the occult “life force is generated by the sexual forces, the union of male and female elements,” it is “represented by the two opposing equilateral triangles:

• The triangle with the broad base up is the male principle (spirit of fire – red) Jehovah White and positive.
• The triangle with the broad base down is the female principle (spirit of water – blue) Jehovah Black and negative.
• The symbolic representation of which is sexual union.” (emphasis in original)

So what we are talking about here is the 6-pointed star, which has been used in Judaism for centuries!  However, it’s origins are in the occult and it was modified by Judaism.  The difficulty is that a great deal of history that deals with the 6-pointed star takes us back to a point in time before Israel was created as a nation.  It is rooted in PRE-FLOOD kabbalism and other forms of esoteric thought and worship.

The 6-pointed star has been with us since the beginning and some believe it to be a modified form of the mark that God placed on Cain.  Centuries later, Solomon adopted it for his own seal.  It became part of Freemasonry and the 6-pointed star is seen as part of the Great Seal of the United States.  The 6-pointed star is the symbol of the Merovingian kings (of whom many believe will be the line through which Antichrist is revealed.

It is interesting to me that the triple 6 in some form or representation has had a place in history for as far back as history was recorded.  During the coming age of the Antichrist, it is very likely that he will continue this tradition, identifying himself with this numeric representation.  “We often hear of 666 being the number of the Solar Logos and the ideal length of Glastonbury Abbey.  These associations are all derived from the Hebrew Cabala.  In the Cabalistic Tree of Life, spheres are traditionally numbered from the Crown Chakra-Kether downwards.  The Heart Chakra-Tiphareth is numbered 6 in this pattern.  Each sphere has a magickal square.  The square for Tiphareth-sun-Heart Chakra is constructed by using its number 6: A square with 6 columns and 6 rows, or 6 x 6 = 36 sub-squares.  Then the numbers 1 through 36 are placed in these 36 boxes so that each row or column adds up to 111.  Thus the total value of the square of the sun is 666 – the Solar Logos.”

Anyone who knows anything about the occult, or other esoteric initiations, understands the meaning of many of the symbolism found within it.  In the occult, 666 is understood to be the mark of the beast, represented by the 6-pointed star.  It is a commonly understood fact.  It is also known that the great seal (or mark) of Lucifer is the 6-pointed star.  Within the New Age Movement, the 6-pointed star is well known and understood for its sacred meaning.  It “symbolizes man’s union with the divine.”

The history of the 6-pointed star is there and the research has been done.  It makes perfect sense, if you stop to consider it.  Isn’t it interesting though that during Hitler’s Germany, Jews were made to wear the yellow 6-pointed star so they could be readily identified?  We of course know of Hitler’s fascination with the occult.  If the mark of the beast is the 6-pointed star, affixing it to a person’s hand or forehead will be extremely easy through the process of tattooing.

Today, tattoos are more commonplace than ever.  Years ago, only men and a few “loose” women had tattoos.  Now, thanks to the fact that tattoos have come out of the closet, so to speak, and have attained a level of acceptability, people of all walks of life have them.

I teach at two local junior colleges.  It is difficult to come across a student (of all age groups) who does not have at least one tattoo.  Why the change?  It is a trickle down effect.  Sports stars and athletes have become regular billboards, covering themselves with every tattoo imaginable.  Magazines and books on tattoos have become far more prevalent.  There are even reality shows on TV that highlight a tattoo parlor and the gal who runs it.

Society has gotten so used to applying tattoos to themselves, they think nothing of it.  They are expensive, a bit painful, and can take a good amount of time to apply, depending on the style and complexity, yet this seems to stop no one.  With the proliferation of sports stars, celebrities, and even movies highlighting tattoos in some form or another, no one thinks it odd to have a tattoo.  In fact, as time goes on, it will likely be seen as odd not to have at least one!

I want to close this blog with reference to a hit phenomenon that I have always thought strange in the way it catapulted to the top first with books that are two to three inches thick, and then with movies.  I’m speaking of course, of the Harry Potter series.  I’m sorry, but something like this does not occur without supernatural help.  You don’t have a nobody woman in England who is living on welfare (and has been for a good portion of her adult life) all of a sudden become a best-selling author virtually overnight, unless there is something from the supernatural realm helping her out.  I do not believe that one individual has the capacity to write that much material so deftly and with such complexity without help from Satan and his minions.  It simply does not happen.  I’m sure folks will disagree with that, and they have every right to do so.  I’m presenting my opinion on that matter, which is as good as anyone else’s.

Let’s look very briefly at the Harry Potter phenomenon and what is has caused.

“Only a few readers have taken notice of the dualism represented with Harry Potter (‘white magician’) and his rival, the ‘dark lord Voldemort (evil, murderous demon force): a wand given to Harry was the twin of Voldemort’s. Voldemort left a lightning bolt-shaped scar upon Harry’s forehead, this symbolizing the Agni chakra center, or Third Eye/Grail. Agni was the Hindu fire god who fell to earth out of the sky as did Lucifer/Satan:  ‘Luke 10: 18 – ‘And he (Yeshua) said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.’

“The scar, an ancient pagan rune, is suggestive of the Luciferic Initiation mark (Greek ‘charagma’, ‘cutting in the skin’) of the Beast. After the Antichrist’s warlock, the False Prophet, enters the world scene, most of those receptive to the Harry Potter series will get their chance to join an actual Hogwarts Mystery Lodge, prefigured by the so-called Geller Kids, psychic prodigies trained to harness paranormal powers and ‘gifts’. May mankind awaken before the nightmare begins. I don’t know whether or not Rowling is a secret associate of the Priory. It can’t be denied that she’s doing them a favor in indoctrinating bored, careless, and uninformed children and adults worldwide.”

Harry Potter was not a human creation.  Its origins are other-worldly and it smacks of paganism and occultism.  In fact, it is replete with it and far different than the movies that I grew up with as a child.  Harry Potter has made occultism believable to children.  It has created a desire within them to be Harry Potter, to learn about spells and incantations.  The more children and adults become used to the supernatural, the more Satan and his demons can work their way through to our world.

The world has been and continues to be outfitted for the coming age of the Antichrist.  Whatever the mark of the beast is to be, it will probably be something very simple.  The fact that the 6-pointed star has roots all the way back to Cain indicates that Satan has spent thousands of years developing an entire system whereby 666 became married to elements of the evil supernatural and humanity.

Christians, we need to look up.  Not merely for our coming day of redemption, but we need to realize that the reason we are here is to free those who are trapped and bound in Satan’s deceptions.  I personally believe that the coming time of deception is as Christ said it will be, so deceitful that if it were possible, even the elect would be deceived.  That is strong deception and we must always be on our guard.  There are too many within the church today who are asleep, or just plain lazy.  I also believe that coupled with this growing deception, will be a great harvest of souls for Jesus Christ.  Who do you think He wants to use to free those individuals from their present captivity?  If you are thinking of others and not you, you’re only half right.  He wants ALL of His children to be out there, fighting the good fight, standing in the gap for those who cannot stand up for themselves.

Are you willing?  If you are not, then shame on you.  We authentic believers need to stop living our lives for ourselves.  We need to lay our lives before God, praying for Him to use us to free those whom Satan has in his grasp.  They are out there, and they need release.  Only Christ’s power can accomplish it and only Christ’s servants can carry the message that contains that power.
