Eschatology in Romans Related to Israel and the Church, Part 6
Paul also makes a distinction between salvation and the fulfillment of God’s plans, purposes, and promises for the nation of Israel. Paul assures us that salvation is gained in the exact same way for everyone – both Jew and Gentile – and that is through faith. There should be no debate about that. But God’s plan for individual Christians (whether Jew or Gentile) is rarely the same once salvation is gained. Paul concludes that this is also true where national Israel is concerned and takes pains to make this point very clear. In spite of this, many are unable to see his point and misunderstand what he is teaching.

Eschatology in Romans Related to Israel and the Church, Part 5
In essence, this entire portion of Romans 9 – 11 is where Paul reveals two completely different periods of God’s dealings with national Israel. They are 1) the current period of loss through unbelief, and 2) the future period of fullness when God will have taken the final remnant from among Jews during the coming Tribulation. Those Jews who survive that terrible time of God’s wrath (“the time of Jacob’s trouble,” cf. Jeremiah 30:7), without dying will be ushered into the Millennial Kingdom over which Jesus Himself will reign immediately following the Tribulation.

These Are the End Times We’ve Been Hearing About…
If the people of my generation are leaving God behind and embracing all forms of idolatry and sin, how much more difficult will it be for young people of today to become and remain anchored to God now? Every generation must ask the question: what will they do with God? Starting out strong is wonderful. Remaining strong to the end is preferred and too many are not ending on that note. Too many are like Susan in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, who finds the things of this world too alluring to avoid. In the end, she shuts down her once thriving affection for Aslan, exchanging it for the love of the world.
Eschatology in Romans Related to Israel and the Church, Part 2
Unfortunately, in today’s religious climate, many even within Christendom see Israel as a problem rather than the source of blessing from God’s perspective. They point to the nation’s rejection of Jesus as Messiah and God’s judgment upon that nation in AD 70 by Rome. This, they believe, is when God not only judged the nation, but chose at that time to cut all ties with Israel forever. While God certainly judged, He most certainly did not cut all ties with Israel. Only through incorrect exegesis and allegorical maneuvering can God’s Word be said to teach that. The whole of the Bible does not support such an untenable position.
Eschatology in Romans Related to Israel and the Church, Part 1
Romans 3:1-4 indicates that at a future point, God will revive and complete His program with Israel. He will choose a final remnant of believing Jews who will place their faith in Jesus as Savior, Messiah, and Lord and this will occur during the upcoming Tribulation period (“time of Jacob’s trouble”). God is waiting for that generation of Jews, but it is not as though He is sitting in the heavens wringing His hands wondering when or if that generation will one day appear. That generation will appear and they will appear at the exact time they are supposed to appear, according to God’s sovereignty and timing. It is already a “done” deal as far as God is concerned. Because He exists in the eternal present, He, unlike us, has already seen it happen. He knows them each by name. He sees their faces. They will embrace His salvation (cf. Zechariah 12:10).
Israel: God’s Chosen Nation Yesterday and Into the Millennium
Israel was a nation created by God, unlike any other nation before or since (including America). Jews were specifically created to form that nation of Israel and essentially became God’s chosen people. Simply because the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is behind us does not negate their chosen stature. God has a plan for what will become the final remnant that will inhabit the Land originally promised to Abraham. In fact, the coming final remnant will be the first and only group making up the nation of Israel who will actually enjoy all the Land and the Lord Himself will be there – ruling with a rod of iron – to ensure that happens.
Ten Kings, the Antichrist, and the New World Order, Part 3
But where does all of this start? As we noted previously, even though the coming one-world government has roots all the way back to Genesis 11, Nimrod, and the Tower of Babel, it all begins in earnest in Daniel 2. This is where God chose to reveal what was previously hidden and starts the clock ticking. It is interesting that God chose to reveal the start of the first empire all the way to the global unification of the fourth and final empire in its revised or “resurrected” form (yet future), through Nebuchadnezzar. However, it makes sense if this is where God began tracking the 70 “weeks” that are revealed in Daniel 9.
Persecution’s Growing Dominance in the World
The one main organization in China that oversees religious groups and activities is called “State Administration for Religious Affairs (SARA).” This group has recently drawn up 26 new restrictions that they want applied to anyone who comes under the label Christian in China. Interestingly enough, the new set of drafted laws begins by clearly stating that all citizens of China are allowed to believe whatever they want to believe. However, restrictions apply as to how those beliefs can be exhibited publicly and even privately.

Living in Light of the Times, Part 2
We need to get with God’s program and stop worrying about how we can change society so that things will “improve.” They aren’t going to improve. Hell is destined to be unleashed onto the earth and Satan will have his day in the form of Antichrist and he will be defeated with finality. Aren’t you glad? There is an end to this growing, stupefying morass of evil and it is on the horizon. Can you not see it? Can you not yet hear the footsteps of the Messiah as He returns in complete and utter victory to a world that has always rejected Him and His sovereign rule?
