Ten Kings, the Antichrist, and the New World Order, Part 4
As we arrive to Daniel 9, we begin to zero in on specific times and timelines decreed by God Himself, with more of an explanation provided as to the exact amount of time that the Jewish people (Israel) would be under the thumb to some extent of Gentiles. We need to recall that had Israel been faithfully observant with respect to avoiding idolatry and fulfilling her responsibility with respect to the land Sabbath as well as Jubilee, all would have been well. For Israel to have accomplished this, it would have meant having kings who took seriously their role as leader and they would have been faithful in leading the people of Israel to keep all of God’s Law found in the Mosaic code. This was simply not the case and even though there were very likely people in Israel who had faith in God and believed His promises to them, the tone of the entire nation as determined by the corrupt and selfish kings who ruled over Israel was what God zeroed in on and the entire nation paid the price for their kings’ unfaithfulness in many things.
Ten Kings, the Antichrist, and the New World Order, Part 3
But where does all of this start? As we noted previously, even though the coming one-world government has roots all the way back to Genesis 11, Nimrod, and the Tower of Babel, it all begins in earnest in Daniel 2. This is where God chose to reveal what was previously hidden and starts the clock ticking. It is interesting that God chose to reveal the start of the first empire all the way to the global unification of the fourth and final empire in its revised or “resurrected” form (yet future), through Nebuchadnezzar. However, it makes sense if this is where God began tracking the 70 “weeks” that are revealed in Daniel 9.
Apparently, Jesus Was Supposed to Return October 17, 2016
Apparently, Dewey Bruton is an individual who has become rather well-known in the end times arena. Who knew? He has a very specific articulated timeline for Daniel as it relates to the end times. I completely disagree with it as do many others, but that doesn’t really matter because Bruton has a large following of people who latch onto every word he has taught. Here’s just one example of the reception Bruton’s teachings have received.
Bible Warns of Apostasy and Persecution: Birth Pang 9
Because Israel’s leaders will essentially be signing a deal with the devil, God responds to their complete lack of faith in Him by beginning to pour out His wrath on the nations that have deceived Israel (outlined beginning in Revelation 5). His wrath is also poured out against Israel as well, but the Bible tells us that at the three and a half-year point of the Tribulation when the Antichrist claims to be God from inside the rebuilt Jewish Temple, this is when the eyes of many Jews will start to open. They will realize they were deceived and will run for the hills. God will protect them from the onslaught by Satan and because he cannot reach the Jewish people, he will then turn his attention to people who will become Christians during that same time period (Revelation 12 – read the entire chapter!).
All You Need to Know About Conspiracy Theories, Part 6
The point is that from the beginning of the Babylonian Empire, to the Medo-Persian, to the Grecian, to the Roman through to the resurrection of the revised Roman Empire, God has allowed all of these empires to control Israel because He has had things to teach the Israelites. The fact that the world will become a one-world system of global governance ruled by the “man of sin” (2 Thessalonians 2) is also going to occur for the purpose of gathering the final remnant of Israel to Him. He will use the hatred of Satan and the hand of the Antichrist to draw true Jews to Him. These true Jews will realize their need for a Savior and understand that that Savior is found in Jesus. He clearly states this in Matthew 23:39.
Perfect Timing! PreTrib Rapture Naysayer Proves His Own Alarming Myopia!
In one swell swoop, they combine two errors into one and believe they are correct. Is it any wonder they are so judgmental toward people who don’t believe as they do? They believe they and they alone have the truth. People who don’t see eye to eye with them on the return of Jesus, the Rapture, etc., can and do lose any salvation they may have had. They do not believe in eternal security and while this is not common for all PostTribbers, it seems to be an ever-present issue for many.
Because they believe they and they alone are correct, they have established this arrogance in that they believe they are obligated to castigate, denigrate, and condemn anyone who doesn’t agree with them. The PreTribber (like myself) is considered to be the most egregious individual of all because they believe I am fully deceived, unsaved, and deceiving those who are either saved (but in danger of losing their salvation) or on their way to possibly being saved and I’m (according to PostTribbers) are driving them off the path.
Does a Gap Exist Between 69th and 70th Weeks or Not?
Here’s the problem though. After Jesus died (and rose again), the city of Jerusalem and Temple were not destroyed until some 40 years later by the Romans (AD 70). If the second item above refers to the city of Jerusalem and the Temple physically being destroyed as we believe it does, then that event alone overshoots the whole thing by approximately 33 years! The third item above – there will be war and desolations until the end – also presents a problem. What does “until the end” mean? It clearly can only mean the end of man-led human history. In other words, the “end” is referring to Jesus’ 2nd coming. The old rabbinical sages believed there are only two ages. There is this age in which we live and the coming age of the Messiah.
Between the 69th and 70th SEVENS
That there is a “gap” of indeterminate amount of time between the 69th “week” and the 70th “week” is a problem for many. The folks who ignore or reject this idea do so because they think that people like me have simply and arbitrarily put an artificial “gap” between those “weeks” because we felt like, because that’s how we make things work. Not so. In fact, not even close.
