No, the Tribulation Has Not Yet Begun, Period

As he prayed and even before he had concluded his prayer, the angelic messenger Gabriel came to him to explain some things to Daniel (cf. Daniel 9:20-23). Gabriel essentially told Daniel that yes, the 70 year captivity was nearly over and the Jewish people would be released from that captivity and allowed to return to Jerusalem. However – and Gabriel made this clear – that another form of captivity would affect the Jewish people, the state of Israel, and the Temple Mount for not 70 years, but 70 “sevens,” (that is the English word of the original word that was used in the text, though most translators translated the word not to “sevens” but to “weeks.”)

What Gabriel was saying was that there would be 70 sevens (or 70 groupings of seven) in which the Temple Mount would be trod underfoot and controlled by Gentiles. This became known as the “times of the Gentiles” and began with the Babylonian Empire under Nebuchadnezzar.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About, Part 22

Not only does society throughout the world suffer because of the sin nature, but the earth, as well as animals suffer too, as shown by the image of the rhino above. We are corrupted and die because of the sin nature. We die because in our first parents, we also have fallen from grace and from that point forward the Second Law of Thermodynamics became part of our life. It happens with those we love who are family members or friends. It happens with the pets we have as well. Here is a picture of the cat that I received as my Father’s Day gift almost eleven years ago. Even though he didn’t speak English, he “spoke” his love and loyalty to me and the rest of the family while he lived.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About? Part 13

Notice though that the faces of these locusts had faces like men’s faces and hair like women’s hair. Their teeth did not remind John of human teeth but of teeth in a lion’s mouth. They wore breastplates of iron and they had wings, which all told made tremendous noise when they flew. Finally, these creatures had something in their tails (like scorpions) that allowed them to hurt men for five months.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About? Part 12

Try to imagine that. The pain is so intense that people will want to die, but will be unable to commit suicide. God wants them to endure the pain. Why, because He is a masochist? Hardly. He wants them to wake up to their plight. He wants them to understand what eternity without Him will be like. He wants no one to perish and takes no delight in the death of sinners, but He is going to use extreme measures in an attempt to wake people up from the sin-laden slumber.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About? Part 11

Now please take the time to consider the results of one-third of the sun going dark. Not only will that greatly dim the heavenly lights, but it will also result in a drastic change in the environment, temperature, and weather. You want to know about so-called “climate change”? Here it is, but God is the One who controls it, as He controls all else. I don’t think we can really imagine what will transpire because of this 4th judgment.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About? Part 1

The word “tribulation” is used in Scripture in several ways. First, it is used in a general way to note that life is often replete with difficulties (tribulations) that vex us, that try our faith. If allowed, these seasons of tribulation will cause us to grow in our faith. They are ordained by God and it is our job to humble ourselves under His mighty hand so that in due time He will lift us up (cf. 1 Peter 5:6).

Let’s Talk About the Coming Tribulation Over Several Posts, Shall We? All right…

The Tribulation is another area of controversy. Is there an area of Scripture that is not controversial, we might ask? The Tribulation is described as a period of time – seven years – in which God pours out His wrath onto this world and humanity. He does this for two reasons: 1) to purify Israel and gather to Himself the final Remnant of Jews, and 2) to judge the people of the world for how they have continued to reject Him as God and for how they have treated Israel, the apple of His eye.

Ominous Black Friday and the December 21, 2012 Event

They call it “Black Friday”, and it has a varied history. Some say the origin of the name comes from the Philadelphia Police Department’s uncomplimentary appraisal of the first day of the Christmas shopping season back in 1966. In recent years it refers to that busy Friday after Thanksgiving that puts retailers “in the black”.

Each year it seems the day is punctuated with incidents of trampling, fights, robberies, shootings and all sorts of anti-social behavior. Seems that “peace on earth” thing we like to sing about just can’t seem to make it to the retail level.

It is both sad and shocking that the official American day of Thanksgiving to God has become the eve of what is arguably the year’s most illustrative day of thanklessness and greed. More important than its origin, and even more important than its economic impact is its crystal clear portrayal of the greed and violence that can be so quickly and easily launched from the depths of the human heart. Not a pretty sight to behold.

Ahmadinejad Claims US Blocking Return of Mahdi, 12th Iman!

Ahmadenijad rants about the power that keeps Imam out of the public. He is of course attempting to turn the tide against the United States. That will happen anyway, just as sure as the world will turn against Christians.
