A German’s View on Islam
We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

John Piper Says Burning Koran Parallels Crucifying Christ
In my view, I believe John Piper is wrong on a number of fronts. First, burning the Koran to me is like burning the Bible. While Muslims will obviously get extremely upset about it to the point of wanting to kill, authentic Christians do not do that. If someone takes the time to burn the Bible, they are burning a book that I believe represents what God has stated and done to and for humanity. Ultimately, they are burning a tree, since that is largely what the Bible is made out of, as are most books.
The Coming Government Shutdown?
This is no surprise since the budget last year was hard to come by and at that point, the Democrats had solid majorities in both the House and the Senate. They could not blame it on the GOP then. Now that the GOP has a majority in the House, it’s easy (though unfair and untrue) to lay the blame at their feet.
The Doctrine of Oneness…
If you think visualizing world peace and oneness among the nations is going to make it happen, you are wrong. It is clear that Satan directs his policies through the New Age movement, aliens, and even the global elite to get what he wants. He has something in mind and he appears to be playing us and all the countries of the world to reach his goal. We will talk more about that in future posts. We need to recognize that God allows what happens here, but He also gives Satan a good deal of leeway in order that His (God’s) purposes will be accomplished.
