Littleton Green Community School Threatens to Classify Students as Racists if They Miss Islamic Field Trip

Headmistress Small and her threatening letter to parents.

I’m amazed, though I know I should not be, that people still believe they can use the race card when it comes to Islam and Muslims in general. If a person has a problem with Islam or the way Muslims live their lives (which tends to negatively affect other people in many cases), to complain about specific incidences will often result in name-calling by those who aren’t really educated enough to understand what they’re saying.

One recent example has taken place in a school in England. In this case, Littleton Green Community School essentially sends a letter home to parents stating that their primary school-aged children will be going on a field trip that will provide them with the opportunity to experience a different culture. The culture in question is Islam.

At one point in the letter, a paragraph reads like this, “Refusal to allow your child to attend this trip will result in a Racial Discrimination note being attached to your child’s education record, which remain on this file throughout their school career.”

I’ve bolded three words to point out the absurdity of those in charge. Anyone in the world can be a Muslim by converting to Islam. Islam is not based on a specific ethnicity though certainly, there remains a high percentage of Arabs who are Muslims. But any white person, black person, brown person, or whatever can become a Muslim. For the school to say that refusing to attend a particular field trip means essentially that racism has reared its ugly head is simply nonsense since Islam is not solely made up of Arab individuals.

The letter that threatened to classify students as racists...

The letter that threatened to classify students as racists…

But of course, the larger problem here is that the school has taken an approach where it has literally pushed the rights of students and their parents out of the way.

Fortunately, cooler (and apparently, more intelligent) heads prevailed. Parents rightly got up in arms and contacted people over Ms. Small. Because of that, Small had to take several steps backwards, issue an apology, and even direct parents to disregard part of her original letter.

It is mind-boggling that there are people in this world who are supposed to be educated who make such asinine decisions and cannot see the depth of stupidity until it is pointed out to them…in anger by others.

One individual connected politically with South Staffordshire, stated, “The idea of attaching a racial discrimination note to children’s education records saying it will remain on their file for the duration for their school career seems unfair, particularly when it is not the child’s decision whether or not he or she attends.

‘It seems a very heavy-handed approach’.”

Yeah, just a bit.

I find it insulting that Islam is treated as if it is something special in spite of all of the atrocities connected to it. If the subject was Christianity, no one would be as welcoming. In fact, most would be vilifying the individuals with Christendom who did these things (and rightly so) and their vilification would no doubt extend to all of Christendom as well, not just those who indulged.

We read of so-called honor killings daily, people being beheaded and tortured within or connected to Islam, yet the world treats these things as if they are anomalies – a tragically misused system within the overall system of Islam – and ignored.

I just read another article about Christians in Syria who are being slaughtered by Islamists. Young Christian girls are taken and used as prostitutes or married to rich Arab men. They are also being forced to bow to Allah.

The world is being guided by a complete delusion. How else can we explain the fact that people will come out of the woodwork to defend Islam, yet continue to castigate conservative Christians?

It certainly seems as though the world is going crazy. It is because it has rejected God too many times. God is now throwing them over to themselves just as He did in Romans 1. Their consciences are becoming seared and soon, they will do whatever they want without any sense of pity or remorse.

In spite of this, Christians have a job to do. That job is to spread the Gospel to those who are lost and dying, whether they listen or not. Our job is to introduce them to Jesus, the only One who saves. Whether or not their eyes are opened because of it is out of our hands, but we’d best not leave this life with a question as to whether or not we not only walked the walk, but talked the talk.

They should not have the ability to post such a “note” for the for the entirety of of their school career. Of course the Dept. of Ed’s Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) goal is to have that be an even longer tracking system called P-20W which is pre-K through working career with so much personal info compiled you may not get a job because you bullied some kid in 2nd grade or tagged a racist for a non-racial issue like this!

I’m amazed at how many “unlearned” educators there are in the world today, frankly.

Too many appear unable to make common sense decisions because all of their learning is out of some book.
