ISIS' five-year plan to dominate North Africa and the Middle East. Who do you think put them up to it?

ISIS’ five-year plan to dominate North Africa and the Middle East. Who do you think put them up to it?

In our previous installment, we focused in on Daniel 11:38, which pointed out that Antichrist’s main “god” will be the god of fortresses, which translates to military might. He will look to his own resources and ability to gather before him the world’s most powerful military might. He will come to believe that through it, he will have a good chance of defeating Jesus as the Lord returns to earth physically at the end of the coming Tribulation period of seven years (aka as the final “week” of Daniel 9:27).

The great showdown will occur, but according to Scripture, it will be nothing like what either Satan or Antichrist envision. It will be over before it starts. Paul tells us very clearly how that meeting will go down.

“And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming,” 2 Thessalonians 2:8

Neither Satan nor Antichrist has any chance at all when it comes to overthrowing God the Son. Jesus will make his way to the earth from His own dimension and His very breath of one word will overthrow Antichrist and His very return to this earth will destroy him. It won’t be pretty and it certainly will not be what Antichrist expects, but there you have it. It will occur exactly the way the Bible tells us it will. Meanwhile, the world moves toward that time of global governance, which will catapult Antichrist to the dominant position of world ruler.

Let’s take a look at verse 39 of Daniel 11.

“He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.”

That’s an interesting description that most likely connects back to Daniel 11:38, where we learned that Antichrist will put his trust in the “god of fortresses,” which may very well be military strength. But here in verse 39, it seems to indicate that there is a “foreign” deity that may have been unknown to his predecessors.

“The foreign god referred to in this verse may be the god of military might mentioned in verse 38. Alternatively, it may be some other foreign god that he uses for his own ends, or it may even be himself. As Antiochus before him, this ruler will reward those who are loyal to him, and support them by bestowing honors and positions of authority on them. Perhaps he will also take bribes, as Antiochus did, and give land to those who pay him off. Another possibility is that he will reward with lands those who are faithful to him.” [1]

Ultimately, it’s difficult to be dogmatic, but since the angelic messenger discusses Antiochus Epiphanes IV just prior to this final king – Antichrist – the messenger did so because of the similarities between the two individuals. In both individuals, using bribes as rewards for loyalty is the payoff and it comes with material things, possibly including lands. Throughout history, this is how people were often rewarded by kings and noblemen. Their underlings were often given land as payment, which could then be passed on down throughout successive generations. Of course, even in today’s “nobility,” titles like earl, lord, duke, and others are still used and provide the holder with a certain amount of honor and respect. It’s of course a man-made system that creates a pecking order, but those who consider themselves to be “blue bloods” or part of the global elite are into that sort of thing. Let’s face it, they also believe they were put here for the sole purpose of ruling over the rest of us. The coming Antichrist will use that system and the belief in that system to his advantage.

“At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood,” Daniel 11:40

Notice the first phrase – “at the time of the end” – which is another reference to God’s timing, not man’s. There are times and seasons that are fixed in place not by humanity, but by God Himself. Regardless of man’s paltry attempts to do whatsoever he will, God is fully in control. Too many live to deny that, but all will learn it in the end that God is God and the rest of us are not. This is what Paul tells us in Philippians 2:10 when he states, “so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth…” Paul says it again in his letter to the Romans (cf. 14:11).

Notice that even at the very end of “time,” which refers to man-led history, the king of the South and the king of the North will still exist. This time, their common enemy will be Antichrist though. The king of the South still refers to the area due south of Israel, which is Egypt (though it may have a different name by then, the geography remains the same) and the king of the North will still be housed in the area that today is still known as Syria. These two kings will decide it’s time for a mutiny. They don’t like what he’s doing and they certainly don’t like being under his command and answering to him.

Isn’t that funny? Today, the global elite work so hard as one because all who are not part of the elite are their enemy. It’s easy for them to work together now and even hold hands until the job’s done. Once they reach their goals, the infighting will begin. While Antichrist kills (“subdues”) three kings as we learn in Daniel 7 when he first rises to the top, the remaining seven pledge loyalty to him. However, just as there are politics and intrigue in history and in modern times, we can bet that the seven remaining kings of Revelation 17 will likely only give Antichrist obedience outwardly and it is clear that by the point of Daniel 11:40, the kings of the South and North will have mustered their courage enough to come against Antichrist.

Dr. Thomas Constable sheds a bit more light on this verse.

“Apparently this king is neither the king of the South nor the king of the North himself. In view of 9:26, he will probably be a western ruler, the little horn arising out of the Roman Empire (i.e., Antichrist; 7:8, 24).[2] Other interpreters believe the king of the North is the Antichrist.[3] Still others hold that this king was not the Antichrist but only a minor ruler.”

I am of the opinion that the “king” mentioned here is the Antichrist and the kings of the South and North have had enough. They, along with their predecessors and ancestors, worked very hard long before the Antichrist came on the scene to see it all taken away from them by one man.

I’d like to point out that this is why I believe that Islam (including ISIS) is not only allowed but encouraged by the elite to do what it is doing in the Middle East and in the northern part of Africa. We note that as the so-called “Arab Spring” took hold in Northern Africa and parts of the Middle East, which was followed by an even more evil and powerful group of Islamists (ISIS), the landscape has been changing. Mubarak, Qaddafi, and others have been removed from their previously held office and even killed in a few instances. The elite has been attempting to replace these dictators with Muslim Brotherhood puppets, who would simply “hold” the position until the elite had gained control of the entire Middle East and North Africa. Once done, the power would be controlled by the elite and if necessary, the puppets who held offices in various countries could be replaced and/or eliminated. Please remember the fate of the Muslim Brotherhood man who became president of Egypt after Mubarak was removed. All of what we’ve seen has been controlled chaos and we also need to remember that Syria’s Assad still holds the reigns, though it is clear that the elite want him gone, which is why President Obama has been working so hard for his removal. Ironic how Barack Obama came to hate America for its “colonialization” regarding other countries, yet he continues in the same steps as his predecessors. Why is that? Because he’s working for the elite, not the American taxpayer.

Regarding Syria, it is also interesting how Russia’s Putin is now in the mix offering support for beleaguered President Assad of Syria. Let’s also not forget that Israel is in the mix too, which we’ll get to soon.

We’re going to have to stop here and we’ll pick things up at this point next time. There are a number of things in this one verse that need to be addressed besides what we’ve already mentioned. Join me then.
