Can Society Survive This?

All of these things – the lack of discernment, the problems with a growing number of Christian leaders, etc. – all provide telltale clues that God’s Word is coming to fruition. People today – both inside and outside of the Church – are more concerned with racial reconciliation, embracing homosexuals, lesbians and transgenders and doing whatever they can to impoverish their congregations by not actually preaching God’s Word, but preaching around it; using a Scripture here or there as a spring board into brainwashing attendees rather than edifying them.

Full Control via Digital A.I.

I wish I could say that things will get better. They won’t. They are going to worsen. We can be assured of that so draw close to our Lord and hold on tight. He has your back. I’ll end with one of my favorite sections of Scripture that I’ve memorized and repeat often (along with Isaiah 41:10), Psalm 147:17-20 (ESV). Read it. Memorize it. Repeat it to yourself. Allow that truth to wash over you as you face each new storm in life. He has not forgotten or rejected you. Learn to fear offending Him through an increase in love for Him. Endeavor to be as truthful as you can be in your prayers to Him. Trust Him for His provision. Everything He does is righteous and gracious.

Nuancers

Brothers and sisters, we were warned by Jesus a few thousand years ago that there would be many deceivers in the last days. Since we are in the last days, we have seen and continue to see this warning come true. One of the more sinister ways of trying to deceive people in churches these days is not by someone claiming from the pulpit that they are God, but by using nuancing to change meanings of words, or at least cause people listening to start thinking and then wondering and then questioning things they’ve always seen as one way, but now, maybe it means something else.

It’s Not Final

Kashi was such an interesting cat. She was always smallish because of her immune issues. We thought she would die early on as at least one of her brothers had. She strengthened herself and carried on. Kashi was always very gentle (unless another cat was vying for her food bowl!), and was content to just sit in your lap and enjoy being petted. As she aged, she spent more time by herself under a bed or on a chair.

Inconvenient Truths

People need to wake up to what is happening in the world. However, we are up against people who are not saved who believe the lies, people who are saved, but who do not walk closely enough with God to realize they believe lies, and finally, people who may have an inkling of the truth, but out of fear, go along with the narrative simply because it’s easier.

God’s Perspective vs Ours

Sometimes, I wish I was more like Job who put his hand over his mouth to keep from saying something stupid. What he was saying was “I’ve already complained too much and to ensure that it stops, I will physically block my mouth!” Job realized he added nothing to the conversation as he sat in abject awe of God. Though Job started out perplexed, frustrated and almost indignant, he realized ultimately that God is God and His purposes are often way too high for us to comprehend.

Do you think Job ever questioned God again? Do you think he approached life differently from that point on? Do you think he had a greater (though still imperfect), understanding of God’s perspective after what Job went through? I’d prefer not to go through any of that to arrive to the same conclusion.

Rethinking Revelation 6 Part 5

Bottom line for me is that Christians today will very likely feel the uptick of “persecution.” Here in the USA, that means as we stand against LGBTQ+ we will be demonized for it. As we resist the wave of Marxism in all its tenets (i.e. Critical Race Theory), as it tries sweeping across our communities, we will experience the wrath of the Left increasingly. We can somewhat guard against that if we are further away from the larger cities, but it will still likely find us where we live. We will also likely have to deal with more health “pandemics” with officials issuing more health mandates to gain more control of society. You need to decide now how you will react to those mandates.

In the Lion’s Den

I’m sure it was scary for Daniel. He didn’t know the outcome ahead of time (as far as we know), until the outcome happened. A scary situation became victory because of God. In truth folks, Christians are in the lion’s den today. The pressure is increasing and in the final analysis, the only thing we can do is trust our Lord who overcomes the lions. While we might not actually be in the lion’s den physically, we know that Satan roams around seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter ). His hatred of us is akin to Nebuchadnezzar’s anger at Shadrach, Meshach and Abegnego and wanted nothing more than to see them burn!

Rethinking Revelation 6 Part 4

What if the first horse and rider represent something else, other than the Antichrist? What if without this particular horse and rider, the other seals (2, 3, and 4), could not really occur? Everything then is based on what the first horse and rider will be and do. By the way, I will state this up front as well. I fully believe the first four seals all clearly pave the way for the man of sin/son of perdition/Antichrist to rise to the top of the heap. If not for the opening of the first four seals (Seal 1 especially), I don’t believe Antichrist would have an opening. The first four seals lay the groundwork, building on the previous seal, making his appearance a reality. Each seal does something to global society that pushes the world toward the point where Antichrist can and will make his appearance.

IRS Whistleblowers Outline Corruption

The writers of the Psalms arrived to the conclusion that one day, when God saw fit, He would right wrongs, punish evil and reward those who spent their lives serving Him in faith, seeking to bring glory to Him. It is sometimes difficult for me to appreciate that (as it may be for you), because we live in the here and now and are often deeply affected by the decisions made by evil people in this realm who want things done their way regardless of who or how many are harmed because of those decisions.
