What About Social Distancing and Masks?

There’s a huge debate with people on both sides of the issue regarding wearing masks for health. If you go on virtually any social network, you’ll see heartfelt posts either from folks who resolutely refuse to wear masks or from those who seem to earnestly believe that wearing a mask is beneficial. The argument goes that if you “love” people, you’ll cover your mouth and nose with a cloth mask that is alleged to keep bacterium, viruses and the like from spreading from people to people. The implication is that if you don’t mask up, then it’s clear you do not love people.

You’ll have to make your own decision of course, but in order to make a decision based on actual facts, some research is required. Proponents of wearing masks argue that it has nothing to do with an alleged loss of rights, but for everyone’s health. Those opposed to masks argue that it IS an infringement on our rights since it seems clear enough that masks offer no benefit at all. The problem is that we have so-called experts on both sides of the issue making claims as to either the benefits or risks of wearing masks. Because of that, it can take longer to wade through all the information to arrive to solid, factual conclusions.

If masks are beneficial, then I have to ask why the manufacturers of these masks would take the time to print right on the box that the masks do not actually stop the spread of Coronavirus? It seems clear enough with that alone, doesn’t it? The manufacturers of masks have taken the time to imprint a warning on the box itself that clearly notes that it does not provide any protection against COVID-19. How can that be more clear? I find it fascinating that the “independent fact-checkers at Facebook” checked this claim and found it to be “partly-false.” So, apparently, what is clearly written on the side of the package is only “partly-true”?

If masks work, why are prisoners released from prison? Why are large stores like Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart that allow up to 846 people in their stores at a time (as in the case of Lowe’s), yet congregations of 100 or less must either not meet or meet but cannot sing? If masks work, why the need to remain at least 6 feet away from other people? If masks work, why doesn’t wearing a mask protect the wearer from getting CV-19? Apparently, ALL people need to wear masks for this to become effective in spite of the fact that the Coronavirus virion is so small, the average mask (or bandana) that people wear today will not keep the virions from traveling through their masks, period.

Why were dentists and doctors offices closed while abortion clinics remained open as “essential”?

Does wearing masks, staying at least six feet away from other people, wearing rubber gloves and washing our hands all the time really work to keep us healthy or is it all in preparation for the coming AI (artificial intelligence), via the growing 5G network? Interestingly enough, this is the case in Communist China where people there have been wearing masks for quite some time and where police officers wear special glasses that allows them to identify people they see in crowds nearly instantly. It is made possible due to AI recognition software with 5G as the supporting platform.

Last year, we were out in California and I saw a tower I did not recognize. I took a picture and placed it up on a social network with the question, “What is this?!” The answer came back quickly enough. It was one of the new 5G towers. What I noticed is that even though I was not hooked up to a Wi-Fi network and was simply using “data” on my phone, I was able to send pictures and video to friends or family in what appeared to be almost instantaneously. It was absolutely amazing. No wonder police officers in China can send and receive information about who’s who in the crowd instantaneously. The coming 5G platform is the newest way to send data and make phone calls. Unfortunately, we do not know the reality concerning safety issues for consumers.

They want you to wear masks? Show them this and ask them politely to scientifically REBUT what it says. They cant.

It is touted that during the pandemic of 1918, people gladly wore masks to prevent catching and passing on the disease that was called Spanish Flu. The problem of course is that way back in 1918, no one knew any better. They certainly didn’t know about a thing called Herd Immunity, nor did they know that the size of many virions were so small that a simply cloth mask could offer no protection.

It would appear that people are so afraid today that they will gladly do anything to keep from getting Coronavirus. They truly believe it is a modern-day end of the world pandemic that will utterly destroy humanity if something isn’t done to halt the progress. I used to pity those people, but now they simply get me frustrated. If you’ve watched any viral videos of people wearing masks screaming at the top of their lungs at someone who is not wearing one, it becomes clear that many people have lost their minds.

During the average flu season, anywhere from 40,000 to 80,000 people DIE in the United States alone. This happens ANNUALLY. Yet, not once were we ever told to shelter in place, wear a mask, stay six feet away from people, were we? Why not? Why all of a sudden is life upended by something that is on par with the annual flu? Something is simply strange about this, in my view.

Is there another reason or set of reasons why masks are being pushed so hard these days? I think there are several. First, continually telling people that they should wear masks, social distance, wash their hands, cough into their arms, etc., brainwashes people the same way people are brainwashed in Communist countries. You cannot go into a store anymore without hearing the endlessly played loop of doom intoning that if you don’t follow the “suggestions” heard from these PSAs, you will die.

The absurdities that exist within American society is beyond the pale. There is no sense to much of it. It reminds me of what the Psalmist says in Psalm 119. Throughout that particular Psalm, the writer praises the goodness of God and His Law. He also decries the futility of the lawless and those who would subvert God’s created order.

Indignation has taken hold of me
Because of the wicked, who forsake Your law. (v 53 NKJV)

This is a repeated sentiment throughout that Psalm’s 176 verses. What we see happening in society today is the attempted overturning of God’s rule of order. This is creating a very bad situation for the United States and one that God will not allow to continue forever. However, as I’ve stated before, He certainly may allow things to go from bad to worse before He comes to right the wrongs. That is clearly taught in Scripture.

The United States is moving rapidly toward a new era, one that is not welcoming or conducive to truth or the rule of law. Anarchists want anarchy and anything that will ultimately overthrow the current system of law and order. Politicians appear to be on the side of the anarchists because they do nothing. This whole thing is a farce and most of us realize it. The difficulty that exists is how to combine efforts and take charge? I’m not sure that’s possible because there aren’t any real leaders that I see. Without real leaders, nothing other than tweeting can happen.

So what do we do? Well, you will have to decide for yourself what you will do. I’m not going to tell you and you shouldn’t tell me either if you are one of those who feels “unsafe” around people who are not wearing a mask. Maybe those folks should stay home in their safe places?

Remember, there’s no proof that masks help stop the spread of Coronavirus, but it LOOKS like people care when they wear them. You’re going to need to decide which battles you’ll fight.

We all need to remember this: wearing a mask is a recommended practice by the CDC. It is not law of the land, though people are trying to make it appear as though it is actual law. Those folks want people arrested for not complying.

How you respond is completely up to you. If you decide that wearing a mask is something you want to do of your own free will, that’s totally up to you. Just don’t make the fascist mistake of thinking that everyone must wear them.

In the meantime, let me offer links to several videos that you may find of interest. Watch them. Consider them. Then make your own decisions, not based on fear, but on facts. What a concept.

Must wear a mask in most of Ohio by the dictate of the Governor.
My church demands masks and social distancing if you are going to attend. I am totally disgusted and getting depressed over this constant fear mongering.

I hear you. I’m sorry for you. My wife’s hair stylist just told her today a client who works at the CDC told her that the mask is a total hoax. It’s all about govt control. Very sad.

Wearing a mask seems symbolic of “keep your mouth shut and comply”. Keeping people separated also is mandated unless you are part of the Marxist groups “protesting “.
