All You Need to Know About Conspiracy Theories, Part 2

But aside from the fact that Jesus knew Satan to be real, the Bible also tells us of God’s plan for the ages and the summation of all things. We know, for instance, that much of Revelation (chapters 6 – 18) deal with the coming Tribulation/Great Tribulation, a period of seven years in which God’s wrath is to be poured out onto this earth and all of humanity. While there are those who personally enjoy (and profit) from allegorizing God’s Word to make it say something else entirely, the reality is that this seven-year period is noted too many times in Scripture to ignore. We learn of it in Daniel 9, Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, Joel, and other portions of Scripture. God has taken the time to repeat Himself throughout Scripture about the events leading up to the second coming of Jesus to this earth.

Childhood’s End from SyFy Network

I know that people are making a huge deal out of this miniseries, but the book has been around since 1953. In reality, this is a sci-fi miniseries based on Clarke’s book and from what I have seen and read, there is nothing connected to the Bible except the imagery that makes Karellen appear to be like the devil in the way he looks. In the end, take away the aliens that look like Satan and what is left is a sci-fi tale that’s been told in many different times and in many different ways. Aliens come to earth because they want to take over earth for their own malevolent purposes. This has nothing to do with Satan’s purposes as revealed in Scripture. He has been slowly and consistently gaining more control of earth and its people because of his own purposes which culminate in attempting to keep Jesus from touching down physically on this planet when His time comes for His Second Coming.

I Will Be Like the Most High, Part 6

Folks, you may be one who needs to find a balance between a Christian’s involvement in the political arena and evangelism. I would hope that you would err on the side of greater evangelism and less on politics. God’s plan is written in stone. It is unchangeable just as His plan to create Israel and bring forth from that nation a Messiah, a Savior was unchangeable. This Savior would make salvation available to all who would come, believing, trusting in the Name that stands alone, rising high above all others, “so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,” (Philippians 2:10).

I Will Be Like the Most High, Part 5

I am convinced that Satan has been using ideologies like Dominionism to cause Christians to shift their focus away from spiritual needs to material needs. In the meantime though, Satan continues to redirect society away from God and God allows it. God does so because His highest purposes benefit from it. While I believe the church needs to “wake up,” it needs to do so with respect to the Great Commission and not any sense of “Dominionism” or “Reconstructionism” that is allegedly supposed to direct our steps.

If God is allowing Satan every opportunity to make himself “like” the Most High, it stands to reason then that God will allow His own Word to be fulfilled and that includes a time when Satan – through his spiritual “son” – will rule the earth during the final seven-year period, which ends with the physical return of Jesus.

I Will Be Like the Most High, Part 3

So why did God allow Satan to do all of this only to stop him from completing his mission? Was God afraid that He was inevitably too weak to deal with Satan? Let’s not be absurd. There are only two reasons why God “delayed” the inevitable here. First, the nation of Israel had not yet been created. From the nation of Israel would come to Messiah/Savior of humanity for those who would trust in Him through faith. It was only after God the Son came in human flesh as Savior to live a life of sinless perfection and die a sinner’s death only to rise again because death could not hold Him, would Satan be allowed to bring His Isaiah 14 promises to fruition in earnest. Second, God wanted to ensure that Satan had every opportunity to bring his whispered goals to fruition, but they would be done in God’s time.

I Will Be Like the Most High, Part 1

In essence, what we will eventually learn is that while God offering salvation is most definitely something that brings tremendous glory to God, it is not His highest purpose. It is only part of His highest purpose. The overriding higher purpose of God has been to prove the entire universe and every creature within it that this so-called battle between “good” and “evil,” God vs. Satan is no battle at all. Not only that, but it will be forever written into the annals of future history into future eternity that sin was finally exhausted and still, God won. Sin actually will come to an end when Satan will have done everything he can to bring his own paltry, arrogant-driven promises to fruition.

Satan Quit Gig and Owns a Nightclub in the City of Angels

Frankly, I think the real Satan enjoys these kinds of shows because they portray him as more like a human than the Bible does and that’s because he’s not human. As far as we know, Lucifer (before the fall, but now Satan), is the highest created being that God created. We’re not really sure if Michael the Archangel or Gabriel (both mentioned in Scripture) are equal to him and chances are that they are not. The testimony of Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 seem to verify that Lucifer was indeed the highest of all of God’s Creation. But he also sinned when pride took up residence in his heart. He made some promises that he’s worked very hard to bring to fruition. Isaiah 14 tells us that he promised to become like the Most High. How exactly does that work when that promise comes from a being who has been created by this God that he swears he will become like? The hubris is amazing.
