Feeling Totally Out of Place
I pointed out how quickly superficiality has overtaken society. In fact, I find that most people won’t talk about how bad the economy is getting or why it’s getting worse. They won’t discuss the problems in the Middle East or how the Bible speaks to these issues. It appears that most people – even many church goers – would rather talk about the normal things in life. They want to talk about football or basketball and many of them act as though things will go on as normal since that’s the way it’s always been.
What Satan Started at Babel He is Completing Now
Satan has been rebuilding that kingdom since Nimrod’s Babel. We are at the point (I believe) where things are coming together. The world is being moved toward a one-world government. Satan will place himself as leader over this government in the form of his “spiritual” son, Antichrist.
We Celebrate the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Jesus came into this world to fulfill the law by living a life without sin. He succeeded. He came into this world to offer Himself as a sacrifice so that the justice of God would be satisfied, while His wrath would not have to be poured out on humanity. Those who reject this truth will – unfortunately – have His wrath poured out on them eternally. Will they stop sinning after they die? No, they will continue to sin forever and ever and because of it, God’s wrath will never cease. Does God want to do that? Of course not, but too many people think they know best.
The Gospel Should Be Preached In and Out of Season Until People “Get It”
There is only one thing in life that is worth hearing over and over again until people “get it.” That is the gospel. There is no other source of salvation except Jesus Christ and He makes that very clear in John 14. He and He alone is the way, the truth, and the life and no one (NO ONE) comes to the Father except through Him. How does one do that? By believing that He is who He says He is and that He has existed before all time and that because of His life without sin, His sacrificial death, and His resurrection, salvation is available to all.
Christmas is Not a Holiday! It’s a Major Event that Brought Salvation into the World!
Jesus was born into this world as a fully human child and given as a son by the Father. “For unto us a child is born; unto us a son is given,” (Isaiah 9:6). With this one sentence, we see in Jesus His full humanity as well as His full deity. Jesus, the Eternal Son (His position within the triune Godhead), was given by the Father to humanity in order to become a ransom for many (cf. Matthew 20:28). Jesus is not only the reason for the season as many are fond of saying. He is the precious gift of the Father to a world filled with sinful, fallen, rebellious humanity.
Christmas: God Clothed Himself with Humanity and Lived Among Us to Save Us from Sin and Death
As we learn in Philippians 2, God took on the form of humanity, lived among us, and through Jesus, we see the Father. In other words, Jesus is the exact representation of God in human form (Hebrews 1:3). In another place we read that in Jesus, the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form (Colossians 2:9). This is something atheists simply deny. They are entitled to their belief system, but in essence, when they try to eradicate Jesus from the public sphere, they are guilty of imposing their “religion” on the rest of us. Of course, they don’t see it that way at all.

Sometimes God Brings an Unlikeable Person into Our Life as Sandpaper
We will run across Pharisees and other religious types as well as authentic Christians and non-Christians throughout our life. Chances are good that professing Christians will not receive a gentle rebuke humbly. They will reject it. Isn’t this what the Pharisees did routinely when Jesus pointed out the truth to them? The truth was always objectionable for them to hear.

Christian: What Do You Do When You Just Don’t Like Certain People?
For me, I’m taking stock of my life today and I have come to the unfortunate realization that yes, there are individuals that I simply feel no kinship toward. Okay, I’ll say it. I can’t stand them for one reason or another. That’s a bit embarrassing.
Authentic Christians Must Meet Physical and Spiritual Needs of the Lost
As we go through life, we need to be aware of the fact that while God wants us to avoid evil, the best way to do that is by actively meeting needs of people who have real needs! We cannot do this with an “I have to do this even though I don’t want to” attitude. It must be done because we truly care about people. We care that they are lost. We care that they have needs that they honestly cannot meet. We care enough to do something for them because their need is right in front of us!
