None of us are privvy to the day/time that we will leave this earth. None of us knows the method by which God has already determined that death will come to us. There is not one person alive today who is powerful enough to withstand God’s appointed time for us. We cannot stave off death through willpower, thought processes, wishful thinking, or determined living. We will all die and we had better take the time to know the correct path to salvation.
Jesus said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it,” (Matthew 7:13-14; KJV, emphasis added).
We cannot rest on our on laurels so to speak, when it comes to salvation. We must fully understand whether we have received eternal life, and then understand why it is eternal life that we have received. If you cannot explain it biblically, then you may in fact, not have it. Start with the third chapter of John and read it until the light begins to dawn.
