Illegal Using SSN for Loans NOT GUILTY!

Hey, this is awesome…if you are a law-breaker! Apparently, it is not a crime to steal (or use a stolen) a Social Security Number that does not belong to you in order to obtain a loan. You read that correctly.
“The Colorado Supreme Court has reversed the conviction of a man who admitted using someone else’s Social Security number to obtain a loan, concluding that the defendant wasn’t really trying to assume a false identity.
“The opinion was written by Michael Bender, who was joined by Mary Mullarkey, Gregory Hobbs and Alex Martinez. A strongly worded dissent by Nathan Coats was joined by Nancy Rice and Allison Eid.
“The case involved Felix Montes-Rodriguez, who was convicted of criminal impersonation for using another person’s Social Security number on a loan application.” [1]
Wait. So because these airhead judges decided that the man was not trying to assume another person’s identity, the guilty verdict rendered against him has been reversed. If he was using a SSN that belonged to someone else, how were the judges able to determine that he was not trying to assume another person’s identity? If the arrested individual had used the SSN to apply for loan, the results of trying to get a loan approved would come back based on the other person’s SSN. Because of that, the real person’s identity would be revealed as associated with the SSN. Since it would obviously not be Felix Montes-Rodriguez’ SSN, then it should have been clear that he was pretending to be someone else in order to obtain a loan.
What part of this do the judges who overturned his original conviction NOT understand? Apparently, the judges who were the majority spent time analyzing to oblivion the concept of impersonating another individual for fraudulent purposes; in this case, to obtain a car loan.
I have tried to research it, but I have no idea if Felix Montes-Rodriguez was guilty on any other charges and if they may have been upheld or not. If he was only found guilty on this one charge, it has been overturned. If it has been overturned, then it seems clear enough that this particular Colorado court has essentially stated that using someone else’s SSN is not wrong! As unbelievable as that seems, there is no other conclusion that can be arrived at.
So, your SSN is up for grabs! If someone gets hold of it, apparently, they are free to try to obtain a loan with the use of it and it is not a crime according to the majority judges in Colorado. Wow. That is unbelievable. Remember, for the time being (until the “mark”) comes into play, you are identified mainly by your unique Social Security Number. This particular number, even though still unique to you, can legally be used by others to attempt to obtain a loan. If they are successful, then they will obtain a loan. That means that your credit score is affected. It may also mean that if the person obtaining the loan defaults, the question arises, who pays?
In fact, what is the motivation for Felix Montes-Rodriguez or any other person like him to repay the loan at all? After all, it was not his social security number he used. He may not even have one (the article does not say) and if he does, it does not seem likely that a default would affect his own credit since he did not use his own social security number. I’m guessing that he does not have a social security number, which is why he used a stolen one.
We have a president of this country who refers to illegal aliens as “guest visitors.” The same president downplays the word “terrorist.” This very same president is not only suing Arizona for attempting to tighten their border, but will do nothing to secure the border at all, preferring to ignore the problem, by pretending it does not exist.
But let’s also remember something. There have been a number of articles which charge that President Obama himself has had more than one Social Security Card issued to him, one of them from the state of Connecticut, and he was never in that state as a resident during the time said card was issued.
I think once President Obama is no longer president of our country, either through losing his re-election bid, or through simply retiring from the office after he has had two terms (God forbid), we will find out a great many things about President Obama that are currently off limits. People who are attempting through legal means to gain access to the truth are essentially being given a “hands off!” response.
But at the same time, the people of the United States are not to believe in conspiracies. President Obama has yet to prove his citizenship, he has yet to explain the fact that he allegedly has more than one Social Security Number, and he has yet to explain why setting aside the U.S. Constitution is something that is acceptable when in point of fact, he promised to UPHOLD the U.S. Constitution during his tenure as president. This he has not done any number of times, many of which have been outlined here on this blog and a zillion other places throughout the ‘Net.
We have probable illegal aliens using stolen Social Security Cards to obtain loans (which is fraud at the very least), and yet a court in Colorado says that the man did essentially nothing wrong. They are saying he did not break the law.
Wait, isn’t this the same state where the Museum is that is exhibiting the prints of Jesus Christ on the receiving end of a sexual act? I guess if you live in Colorado, it appears as though monkeys are running things.
Here’s what I think. All those folks who believe in freedom of speech and expression – who support the Loveland Museum’s exhibit of Christ and sex – should simply give their SSN to illegal aliens to use as they wish. After all, maybe Felix Montes-Rodriguez should have claimed that using a stolen SSN was simply his way of exercising his rights of freedom of expression and freedom of speech. Had he done that, he may not have been convicted in the first place!
I’d say we should take this whole thing up with the Justice Department, but Eric Holder would merely treat it as if it doesn’t exist, so that would be a waste of time.
Fellow Americans, are we ready for a change yet?
