What Does It Really Mean When God Says to Come Out of Her?

Yes, there is an application here. I believe it is this: When the world’s system (Babylon) starts invading your local church, you can try to stand against it through prayer and discussion with leadership. You will probably fail though because the world’s system cannot get into the local church without permission of the leadership. By the time you notice it, it’s already been approved by the leadership. If you can’t get leadership to see the problem, you are left with only two choices. First, you can stay and continue to pray while you quietly work to wake people up. If you do this, know that you will likely come under fire and you may eventually be seen as someone who is working against “God.” Second, you can simply leave.

When Marketing Replaces the Holy Spirit We Get Corporate Christianity

The sad fact of the matter is that because religious organizations are too often seen as corporate structures, the same type of abuse that happens in secular humanistic organizations can and does happen in religious ones. The difference though is that the abuse that occurs within churches, parachurches, and other religious organizations is often done under the guise of biblical doctrine and theology. It’s enough to make the average Christian puke. No wonder Jesus says what He says about most of the seven churches in Revelation 2-3. It’s sickening.

Too Many Christian Leaders Act Like Demagogues or Bullies

Here’s what I see happening today. Christian leaders in expensive suits, with “best-selling” after their names, who have power and money and name recognition. Too often, it is verboten to critique or criticize these individuals because they have too many (virulent) followers who will come after you with all manner of evocative in your face finger jabbing techniques and acrimony. But isn’t that also part of the problem?

Why Are You Interested in Studies of End Times?

The goal of studying anything related to the end times is this: it should cause us to focus on the fact that eternity is always a breath away…for everyone. This fact should create within us a strong desire for one thing. That is, we should become more focused regarding the Great Commission. The thought of eternity, whether it is in Jesus’ return or our going to meet Him in death, should refocus our thinking onto what is right, what is true, and what is worthy as Paul tells us in Philippians 4:8. What is more praiseworthy than focusing on spending eternity with Jesus?

I Will Be Like the Most High, Part 6

Folks, you may be one who needs to find a balance between a Christian’s involvement in the political arena and evangelism. I would hope that you would err on the side of greater evangelism and less on politics. God’s plan is written in stone. It is unchangeable just as His plan to create Israel and bring forth from that nation a Messiah, a Savior was unchangeable. This Savior would make salvation available to all who would come, believing, trusting in the Name that stands alone, rising high above all others, “so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,” (Philippians 2:10).

I Will Be Like the Most High, Part 5

I am convinced that Satan has been using ideologies like Dominionism to cause Christians to shift their focus away from spiritual needs to material needs. In the meantime though, Satan continues to redirect society away from God and God allows it. God does so because His highest purposes benefit from it. While I believe the church needs to “wake up,” it needs to do so with respect to the Great Commission and not any sense of “Dominionism” or “Reconstructionism” that is allegedly supposed to direct our steps.

If God is allowing Satan every opportunity to make himself “like” the Most High, it stands to reason then that God will allow His own Word to be fulfilled and that includes a time when Satan – through his spiritual “son” – will rule the earth during the final seven-year period, which ends with the physical return of Jesus.

I Will Be Like the Most High, Part 4

However, if we look seriously at the whole timeline of events from Creation until now, or at least since the time of Christ until now, what has been the one constant that is to absorb Christians? What one thing are all Christians to be involved in regardless of how good or bad the times are in society? If you answered “the Great Commission,” you would be 100% correct. This should be every Christian’s main push. It is our true calling, our main calling, not our secondary calling.

Bible College Name Changes that Delete Bible

When I did talk with people at what used to be PCB, I was told that the surviving family and/or children of some of the teachers I learned under when attended PCB, were fully in favor of the name change. So? I’m not interested in what they think. I’m only interested in what God thinks. People – even in churches or parachurch organizations – too often tend to go along with the majority and blame it on God. “See? We’re unanimous, so it must be God.” They appear to be reading a different Bible than me because unanimity is not a hard and fast rule for determining God’s will. In fact, it seems that God’s will is often found in the minority of opinion.

eBible Group Predicts End of World and Spins When It Doesn’t Happen

It is amazing to me how easily we can ignore Jesus’ own words and commands. Yet, these same people lift their hands high during “worship” because it “feels” good and they get all warm and bubbly inside, with tears forming on the edges of their eyelids. This makes them feel spiritual, but as I’ve stated before on many occasions, we are not to base truth on how we feel about something. We are to base it on what the Bible says. Too many professing Christians seem unable to do that though. They prefer running after the latest sign.

Prophecies of Daniel 1, Part 4

Let’s also note here that it becomes clear that God gave Daniel this particular ability because God had plans to use Daniel to bring hidden knowledge to us in what would become the twelve chapters of the book of Daniel. Without the ability to receive and discern visions and dreams, we would not have the book of Daniel. We need to comprehend that God gives this type of gift when He sees fit and for His purposes, not for ours.

Discernment is so lacking today among Christians. Too many tend to flit from this latest theological fad (usually connected with Eschatology or prophecy), to that fad, or to that one over there. Instead of studying the Bible for themselves, too many Christians read books about the Bible, attend conferences where other Christians excitedly talk about books they’ve written about the Bible, but those same Christians do not simply study the Bible for themselves.
