Rejecting Truth
What I’ve noticed is that many of these “liberal” theologians had such a gentle, easy-going demeanor. This was generally the case in the 1970’s when they were simply trying to introduce error into an otherwise biblically-based school or church. Now of course, with both aberrant theologians and politicians, the attacks are much more visceral and obvious. They’re not gentle or “nice” anymore and certainly not willing to engage in actual discussion. They don’t want to waste time with that anymore. They simply call out, denigrate, cast aspersions and call for censure against those with whom they disagree.
Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 Pt 1
Since the Mediterranean Sea is most likely in view, the reference then might simply extend and incorporate the Mediterranean World itself, not necessarily the entire world. The “winds” express God’s judgment and how He uses those heavenly and earthly forces to bring about His own will in influencing the nations.[1] Interestingly enough, the first four beasts/kingdoms were centralized in roughly the same area of the world. Only the revived Roman Empire will likely incorporate the entire world.
End Times: The Tribulation
But the big question is if this particular one-world order that is spoken of in many sections of both the Old and New Testaments is to occur, how will anyone know when it has actually begun? Is there some type of signal or event that will occur globally that will be the red flag to tell the world that the Tribulation has in fact, begun? I believe there is and I’ve spoken about this before but it is not the Rapture (which we will get into in another part).
My Bout with COVID
As I write this, it is December 1 and I can honestly say I’m over most of it. My smell has returned for the most part though it’s not 100% yet. My cough is not nearly as persistent as it was and the congestion is nearly gone. Of course, added to this illness is my annual bout with molds in the environment due to allergies so that doesn’t help either.
If I were to categorize COVID for me, I’d have to say it’s worse than a cold, but not as bad as the flu. I never felt that I needed to stay in bed. I never even got close to the point of going to the hospital and in general, though the symptoms were somewhat annoying, I was able to carry on with my life and do the things that I needed to do.
Government Mandates, Pt 1
So here we see three separate examples of government mandates and three separate responses to these mandates. The truth is that these four men did not consider their lives worth saving, but entrusted themselves to God for His will to be accomplished.
As in the Days of Jeremiah?
The book of Jeremiah is filled with remonstrance, anger and promises of judgment, but it is also filled with the promise of future reconciliation and perfect peace with God, the Creator of Israel. It is easy to forget this latter reality because so much of the book focuses on what no one likes to have to experience; God’s judgment. No authentic Christian will ever experience God’s wrath, just as Jeremiah did not.
Leaked Contract Tells Sad Story of Pfizer’s Dominance
I find it fascinating that decades ago, when news traveled very slowly, Orson Wells’ “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast was accepted as absolute truth at the time by many people. All they had was radio and their neighbors. People panicked and some even committed suicide from what I’ve read. Since news traveled so slowly, it took time for folks to realize the broadcast was simply theater. Behavior “scientists” studied the effects of that broadcast to determine how people react to fear-driven narratives.
Workers of Iniquity
The phrase “workers of iniquity” really gives the sense of those people who have abandoned all righteousness and dedicated themselves to all things evil. These are not the people who sin from time to time (or the average sinner), but people who have deliberately chosen sinful ways as a lifestyle and revel in it. The Psalmist is describing people who have literally given themselves over to evil, to partner with evil, to allow themselves to be a conduit for all manner of evil thoughts, words, and deeds.
God Will Strengthen You
Many portions of Scripture speak of how obedience to God looks. In verses leading up to Isaiah 58:11 we learn of several ways to obey God. Proverbs 1:7 says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Would you consider yourself a fool or wise? It is easy to determine. Do you fear the LORD God? Do you hold Him in absolute, profound and reverential awe? Do you strive to obey His commandments so that your relationship with Him grows and deepens and so that He can recreate within you the character of His Son, Jesus?
Fear Not
God wants us to “sit down” on the inside by empowering us to live as He would have us live. Interestingly enough, if we actually learn to biblically fear God, we will, I believe, at the same time, be learning to “fear not” or to “rest in Him” as He works in and through us for His good pleasure.
