Here are more links for your research. I place these here not to cause panic, which solves nothing. I do so that people might look outside of the mainstream media where usually only one side of the story is told, though treated as unequivocal truth. There is no excuse for people to not do their own research. God provides, but certainly expects us to make intelligent and informed decisions, doesn’t He? Rely on Him.

Here is a 30-minute video of Sen. Ron Johnson speaking. What he says is not only interesting and informative, but is FACT, something the “fact-checkers” deny, but as Mark Zuckerberg has admitted, the “fact-checkers” he uses on his “Meta,” are only offering their opinions about things. But since what they offer aligns with Zuckerberg’s leftism/Marxism, their decisions stand and because of it, people are censored, suspended and/or banned from the Meta platform.
Sen. Johnson consistently presents actual, indisputable facts, though people like Fauci deal with it by labeling him “preposterous” and leave it at that believing by deriding Johnson is good enough. They never have an authentic response that includes any factual data to dispute Johnson’s “misinformation.” These are the “Covid gods” who have done whatever they’ve wanted to do with impunity. It needs to be called out. They need to stop and moreover, they need to be investigated and prosecuted for their treasonous decisions, which have caused deaths of thousands upon thousands of people who would have otherwise been saved if only they were willing to consider early treatments. That was never a consideration. Never. Hitler’s Mengele would be jumping with glee over what Fauci and others have achieved today.
Slip Sliding Away
My wife and I often watch sermon videos from Rev. Danny Jones of Northlake Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia. One of his latest sermons is titled “The Slippery Slope” and delves into the problem that’s facing most denominations today: the increasing rejection of biblical truth. This is really a problem that all Christians need to be aware of because it is likely that in some way, this “liberalism” (which is really nothing more than satanically-driven lies and deceit), is affecting every mainline denomination to some degree.
The forty-five minute sermon is over before you know it and I frankly wish he would’ve gone on longer. He discusses the problem that has deeply affected Lutheranism, as well as other mainline denominations, including his own denomination, Southern Baptist (SBC). Jones note that SBC at one point, was essentially taken over by “liberals.” Once they gained access to the higher offices within the SBC, they did the same work that Satan did in the Garden of Eden. They began moving the SBC away from its previous biblical foundation and inserted a much more loose approach to God and His Word.
For instance, the record of the Creation account should be taken literally. There were six 24-hour periods of time in which God did a specific work of Creation. This is not to say that God needed a 24-hour period of time but He simply chose to work within a 24-hour period of time and then finished His work on the sixth day, resting on the seventh. God did not need to “rest” either, but did so purely as an example for humanity to do the same.
But once Darwinian Evolution began to take hold in the schools, people jumped on the bandwagon because it gave them an out from having to believe in a personal God. They could substitute Darwin and his working hypothesis of the evolution of the species for God and not have to be bothered with the moral nature of a personal holy God who will hold all people accountable for their lives while here on the earth He created. That “working hypothesis” has taken on the manner of fact, when there is actually no real proof of it. There is conjecture and assumptions.
But it doesn’t stop there. Jones points out the Bible clearly states the following from 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV):
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Yet, Satan, who helped bring about the downfall of Adam and Eve by simply asking the question, “Has God indeed said…?” (Genesis 3:1a NKJV), continues to ask this same question today through his acolytes and sycophants and has been for decades. This one question is meant to cause the person hearing it to doubt God’s veracity and even doubt whether or not God exists at all.
Questioning the Bible and God
This, as Jones mentions, brought about the “Battle for the Bible,” not just a book about the authenticity and veracity of Scripture, but a book that essentially encapsulated the entire problem of the 1970’s, when it was in vogue to question God’s existence and whether or not the Bible is truly inspired and what that actually means or doesn’t mean. Way back in the 1970’s, theologians who questioned these things and wanted others to do the same were considered “liberals.” Interestingly enough, politicians during that same period of time were also thought to be “liberals” because they all had a more generalized, sweeping opinion of the Bible/God that wanted everyone to participate regardless of their own particular beliefs about God, etc., and whether or not they even believed in God’s existence. There was room for everyone and if we were truly Christians, evidencing the “love” of God, all people should be welcomed into the Christian “inner circle” to celebrate together our love and faith in God…whatever someone conceived Him (or Her), to be.
Years later, these same people – theologians and politicians – have moved further and further left, away from what used to be true liberalism into something far more akin to Marxism. They reject anything that is God’s standard and claim those who still stand on the infallibility of Scripture are the problem because God’s “love” is so broad and so large that He/She/It can and does embrace everyone regardless of their own sinful proclivities and even deviancy. Those who hold to a literal standard of Scripture, taking it at its most plain and ordinary sense and who believe that sin is sin and God will judge all of it, are held out as the judgmental self-righteous paragons keeping the world from evolving to the next spiritual plain. Sound Christians are increasingly viewed as the “problem” and even castigated as “violent” in their judgmental attitude because now words are seen as “violent.”
Harold Lindsell, the author of Battle for the Bible, made a great case for understanding Scripture the way God intended it to be understood. Four to five decades later, we are watching the actual “falling away” of many denominations that were once stalwart in their declaration of God’s truth as revealed in Holy Writ. Now, transgenderism, women as pastors, and everything that goes along with it, is fast becoming the norm within Christendom. The failure and fall of many aspects within Christendom have taken its toll and leaving average Christians without a church to go to that remains solidly on the foundation of biblical Christianity.
“Has God indeed said…” is how these errant theologians do their work. Even though they’ll tell you they believe the Bible to be inerrant, etc., they will introduce questions that are meant to cause people to doubt God. Jones relates his experiences at a SBC seminary when he was going into the pastorate, years ago.
When I went to seminary in Philadelphia, it had a reputation of being a solid graduate school. However, I was quick to learn that several professors were “liberals.” One was seriously into what he called “massification,” otherwise known as equity among the races. While this might be considered a good thing, his emphasis was always on one race that he believed was the downtrodden race – Hispanics (and he was Hispanic). We had a guest speaker from what used to be the USSR, who extolled the freedoms that existed in the USA compared to the fascism and tyranny that he had lived under in the former Soviet Union. The professor of the class essentially denigrated him publicly saying that Hispanics were the ones who knew what suffering was and he didn’t need to come to America to inform them. He was quite rude.
A New Testament professor while referring to the many miracles that Jesus did, said that they were all “naturally occurring.” For instance, when Jesus calmed the sea (Matthew 8), He didn’t really calm the sea at all. He simply knew somehow that the storm would end and at the right time, simply stood up “pretending” to calm the sea. Of course, this makes Jesus a deceiver and liar as well for encouraging people to believe He did something that the professor said He did not do. My professor was far more nuanced in his explanation than I’ve presented it here, but nonetheless, the conclusion is the same. I chose to finish my graduate degree elsewhere.
What I’ve noticed is that many of these “liberal” theologians had such a gentle, easy-going demeanor. This was generally the case in the 1970’s when they were simply trying to introduce error into an otherwise biblically-based school or church. Now of course, with both aberrant theologians and politicians, the attacks are much more visceral and obvious. They’re not gentle or “nice” anymore and certainly not willing to engage in actual discussion. They don’t want to waste time with that anymore. They simply call out, denigrate, cast aspersions and call for censure against those with whom they disagree.
I could go on and on, but I’d rather you take the time to watch/listen to Rev. Jones. He makes some very cogent points about where we’ve come from, what the fight has been about and what we might do to keep the slide from going any further and even potentially gain some lost ground. Certain denominations like Lutheran, Episcopalian, Presbyterian and a few others appear to be lost without hope of returning. Certain Baptist denominations are on their way and Jones is concerned about the SBC, though each SBC church is autonomous. However, if heretics control the SBC, that trickles down to the member churches.
Enjoy the video. Learn something from it. Understand that Satan has not changed his ways to shipwreck people’s faith. It has worked for eons, so why would he change it?
We can debate whether or not getting involved in politics is worth it. But we cannot debate whether or not fighting the good fight and keeping our doctrine and beliefs pure is worth it. Once we start to allow those things to slide, we will find out churches and the people in them sliding away as well. Here are Paul’s words before 2 Timothy 3:16-17:
But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:10-15)
We Christians must fight the good fight because it means the difference between presenting actual truth to the lost or not (1 Timothy 6:12).
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
