Romans 8: Life in the Spirit, Part 2
The perfect life that Jesus lived actually “condemned sin in the flesh.” Jesus was the only One who did that. No one else came close. Jesus kept the righteous decrees of the law at all points, at every turn. So if He actually lived among us today and drove a car and owned a cell phone, you would never see Him texting while driving. He would never break the law at any point. Because of that, the perfection of His life (righteousness) condemned sin. It is because He condemned sin in the flesh, with the righteous requirements of the law being met fully, that He was able to offer Himself as a sacrifice for our sins (and sin nature) – yours and mine (Revelation 5).

Romans itself, in its entirety, is a book that in all likelihood, surpasses others in explaining how pitifully weak man is in being able to help himself out of the predicament that he has gotten himself into, through the fall. Paul spends much time developing the narrative and presenting the truths – one after another – that proves beyond doubt that man, beset with sin, is incapable of saving himself. It doesn’t matter whether we are referring to Jew or Gentile, male, female, slave or free. All are in the same boat and that boat is sinking. The only survivors will be those who trust not in themselves but in Someone outside of themselves to save them from the wrath that is to come.
And Still They Die…Every Day
The terror of falling into the hands of the living God after death is something I cannot fathom in its fullness. If I could, I might actually be willing to get in people’s faces about eternal matters. As it is, the realization of the truth of Hebrews 10:31 tends to cause me to pause. It even tends to paralyze me a bit with some measure of fear for those who resolutely go through this life with nary a thought of God. When they do consider Him, they are so cavalier and dismissive in their manner, that it is shocking. They really cannot see due to blindness that has such a grip on them. They prefer their blindness because it allows them to be more accepted by others. One thing a celebrity in particular cannot handle is the rejection of fans on a large scale. Not only can that be emotionally devastating but career ending.
It’s Really About Creating a Marriageless Genderless Society
If the left simply came out and said “we need to eliminate marriage!” or “we need to eliminate gender differences!” the rest of the world would laugh them to derision. Their argument would be lost before it even got off the ground. However, if instead, the left seems to be pushing for “equality,” well then, that’s a completely different story, isn’t it? Who doesn’t want equality? Everyone says they do. So, the left is using that argument for now to push their agenda while hiding the real end that they seek – a marriageless, genderless society, which simply has people in it. Those people can live with whomever they want to live with and they can see themselves as whatever they want to be seen as. For those who are unwilling to go along with the plan, you can expect reproach, censure, and possibly even violence against you as time goes on.
How Difficult It Is to Avoid World’s Mentality
But aside from who gets to use which public restroom, why should pastors be forced to marry same-sex couples if their religious convictions keep them from doing so? Why should men – who still have male genitalia and who dress as women (transgenders) – be allowed to use women’s public restrooms solely on the basis of their own stated belief that they “feel” as though they are women and not truly men? Aren’t we in danger of opening Pandora’s box if it hasn’t already been opened?
Why Some Christians Work Hard to Change Society
It is one thing to vote and choose our leaders wisely. It is important to understand the bills our elected leaders are trying to pass into laws. It is equally important to understand what God’s purposes are in all things and to appreciate the fact that – whether we think so or not – God has it all under control. He no more needs us to usher in a “golden age” so that He can eventually return anymore than He needed our help in bringing His redemptive purposes to fruition. We are simply the benefactors of His grace, love, and salvation. We receive it and do nothing to earn it. By the same token, we can do nothing to bring about the physical return of Jesus to this planet as the time, day, and hour has already been set in stone.
Lot Was Righteous But Wasn’t Able to Change a Thing About Sodom
Christians should take note. If we’re not careful, we will wind up either being drawn into an environment’s lifestyle or will simply end up being continually vexed every day because of what we see and hear. While it’s certainly permissible to vote, to take a stand, and to do what we can within the confines of the law to change society, hopefully improving it along the way, we cannot count on the fact that anything we do will amount to much as far as society is concerned. Rather than become so preoccupied with that, we need to be focused on evangelizing the lost, ensuring that they know that they have the opportunity to receive salvation, which is offered from the nail-scarred hands of Jesus Himself.
Does God Really Have a Wonderful Plan For Your Life? Part 1
Whether pastors mean to be misleading or not, simply presenting a crowd of people in a sanctuary with the phrase, “God has a wonderful plan for you life!” does not do justice either to God or His Word, at least not without further explanation. God does have a wonderful plan for us and that includes salvation itself. Without salvation, we all die an eternal death, fully and eternally separated from God, enduring only His wrath. That’s the downside of life without salvation.

The truth is that Christians and Christian organizations only are the ones being squeezed and discriminated against. We turn the other cheek. We’re the humble ones. We are supposed to simply continue to take whatever the world dishes out. Certainly, there is some truth to that, however, as voters and people who pay taxes here in Georgia (as well as other states where this type of legislation is attempted), we have a right to express what is on our minds in a thoughtful, non-judgmental, yet provocative way. We know the world won’t like it but what does that matter?

If there was no physical Antichrist coming to this world, there would be no need for the world to see a globally unified system of governance as we are seeing. In truth, the coming final world order is at our doorstep because Satan is being given the chance to rule over it as God. He will choose a physical human being to fully empower with his supernatural abilities as leader of this final global empire. While the spiritual ramifications of this coming empire are huge, the fact remains that it will be a physical manifestation of Satan’s promise to be “like the Most High” in human form as the Antichrist.
