Christians Need to Stop Date-Setting Predictions Based on Sensationalization
While it is fine to study and learn about the end times or even prophecy in general, I so wish Christians would just focus on the Great Commission. But that isn’t exciting enough for many. They want to “see” or “hear” God. They want desperately to witness the signs in the heavens (that will come at the end of the Tribulation and sporadically throughout), but what then? They’re already in fear now. I cannot imagine how much they will be in fear then.
Our Completely Unrealistic Expectations in Our Relationship with God
Certainly God wants our worship, but doesn’t need it. Yes, He wants our love, but doesn’t need it. Definitely, He wants us to show Him how much we love Him, but lifting our hands, swaying our hips to the music, and shouting out a song during worship doesn’t necessarily prove that to Him. It simply proves that we can dance and get excited about high-amped music. By the way, I’m saying all this as someone who has played drums for years. I’ve played at churches too, but gave that up a while ago for a variety of reasons.
Watch Out for Those Who Teach God Speaks to Them, Pt 4
In Matthew 4, Jesus was led by the Spirit out into the wilderness. After 40 days/nights, Jesus was hungry and that’s when Satan struck. He came to Jesus with temptation and Satan used Scripture to promote his temptation. Imagine what might have happened had not Jesus known the Bible. We will never know the Bible as well as Jesus did, but don’t despair. We always have God the Holy Spirit working within us to help us in our time of trouble. When you hear something that sounds great or seems questionable, there is a responsibility to compare it to God’s Word. If you are unsure, then ask someone else whom you trust.

Prophesies of Daniel 11, Part 8
So with Seleucus gone, “a despicable person” rises up in his place. Note the phrase “on whom the honor of kingship has not been conferred” in the above verse. It would appear that this despicable person – Antiochus Epiphanes IV – did not really have the right to rule, yet somehow managed it. Antiochus Epiphanes IV was not the only son of Seleucus IV and was not necessarily next in line for the throne, but history shows us that he simply took the role of king upon himself. He also did more than that because he also made himself as though a god by taking the name “Epiphanes,” which means “God manifest.” This was also the term used on coins of that era.
No Enzymes? No Life. Just Ask Daniel
I believe that Daniel eating vegetables and drinking water was extremely good for Daniel because in a perfect world, people should be getting naturally occurring enzymes from the foods we eat. In fact, while I’m not advocating a vegetarian diet by any means (I like beef!), the article at Mercola states that we should be getting naturally occurring enzymes in 75% of the foods we eat. What is the best source for that? The best source is found in RAW (that’s right, raw) vegetables and fruit! Let’s not forget that God Himself did not forbid the Israelites from eating meats. However, there appears to be no greater source of enzymes in nature than in fruits and vegetables and raw ones at that.
Mindfulness is Simply Buddhism by a Different Name
People too often prefer to divorce contemplative practices like meditation, silencing your mind, etc., from religion, believing only that Yoga, mindfulness, and other practices are simply exercises that help people achieve a relaxed or focused state of mind. They do not necessarily see these things as connected to the metaphysical, religious and/or spiritual realm at all. For people who think that way, Mindfulness then is simply an exercise that one enters into to help regulate breathing in order to become more focused and intentional.

Why Do We Always Shoot for the Lowest Common Denominator? Sorry, I am NOT Josh Duggar!
We need to stop coddling Christians like Josh Duggar and realize just how reprehensible sin is to our holy God. He despises it because of what it has done to His Creation and because it is such an affront to Him. Yet, we coddle it, we entertain it. We dabble in it then expect people to not “judge” us when we’re caught.
Does God Speak Audibly to Us Today?
Humans are too often at the mercy of deceptive spirits, seeking to pull them away from God. Certainly, Christians are not exempt. The Bible tells us that there is going to be a great apostasy or falling away before the end of this current age. It is happening and under the guise of religiosity. New Age teachings have wormed their way into Christendom and there is little hope in repelling it. But we certainly need to vigilantly lift one another up, intercede for others, and pray for God’s discernment. This is desperately needed in this day and age.
Are Revelations and Speaking from the Holy Spirit Real Today?
Do you have any resources, articles, etc., on how to address women at my church who believe God gives them “revelations” and the Holy Spirit “speaks” to them? There are only a few of them, and while they seem to be sincere Christians, they also appear to be way out there on these topics!
Heresies Overtaking Churches Today, Pt 4
The NAR seeks to move people even further away from any connection with Christianity by shoving the Great Commission out of the way and replacing it with a form of socialized concern for people in society. Therefore, in this scenario, people who attend church (or not) and are seen actively helping people in society (the poor, the disenfranchised, etc.), and doing what they can to fight against the forces of globalism by wanting to “take back America” are seen as Christian, whether they are or are not.
