Christian Belligerency in Political Arena Stems from Dominion Theology

I would bet the average conservative Christian is not even aware that Dominion Theology is what they are promoting either. Unfortunately, that appears to be the case, especially if we consider what the Bible teaches about life on earth as we move to the end of this age. It just seems right, doesn’t it? This is what Christians should do, right?

Should Christians Avoid Political Issues and Politics in General? Part 1

There are a myriad of differences between the right and the left, conservatism and liberalism (or leftism). I’ve listed just a few. My biggest problem with using political ideologies to take sides is that it automatically creates “my team” and “my opponents.” Anyone who is not on “my team” is seen as “my opponent.” Because they are considered opponents, then all is fair in love and war, right? I can pounce on opponents when they fail or falter. I can even gloat about it, right? I can cheer when the left falls through sin or simply stupidity. That’s what Jesus would do, right? Hardly.

Christian and Politics Bringing Out the Worst in You

Jesus did not demand change in society. He did not instruct His followers to demand change in society, even through peaceful means. Of course, Jews then were far more limited in Roman society than we are today in America. Yet, if we are going to be more concerned about overturning Roe v. Wade than fulfilling the Great Commission, I believe there is a problem. Why are we not that concerned for people’s salvation?

Why All the Feeling-Centered Feelings in Christendom? Part 1

Happiness, relying on our feelings, pursuing God based on how He might make us feel – all of it – is simply a form of humanism or political correctness that has entered into the church. Our feelings don’t promote humility, true reverence for God and a hatred of sin (not ourselves, but sin). Feelings put our eyes squarely on ourselves. We need to move away from our reliance on them as arbiter of true because they have no capacity to reflect truth at all. Reliance on feelings simply makes us susceptible to error.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About, Part 22

Not only does society throughout the world suffer because of the sin nature, but the earth, as well as animals suffer too, as shown by the image of the rhino above. We are corrupted and die because of the sin nature. We die because in our first parents, we also have fallen from grace and from that point forward the Second Law of Thermodynamics became part of our life. It happens with those we love who are family members or friends. It happens with the pets we have as well. Here is a picture of the cat that I received as my Father’s Day gift almost eleven years ago. Even though he didn’t speak English, he “spoke” his love and loyalty to me and the rest of the family while he lived.

What’s Happening in Society is Result of What’s Occurring in Spiritual Realm

But let’s be clear here though because in making these types of statements, it also means that what applies to Islam does not necessarily apply to any other religion. This is the full meaning of Obama’s statement. It does not matter that he referred to Christianity or Judaism or any other religion in his same speech to the UN. The fact that he specifically held up Islam as requiring special handling tells us a great deal.

Cow Born with 7 on Forehead…What CAN It Mean?!

This idea that God needed to have a cow with a “7” on its forehead born into the world so that individuals like Jim Bakker, Jonathan Cahn, and others can have a field day “interpreting” the “signs” for us is patently absurd! God’s Word speaks for itself and all that is required is study, prayer, and a relationship with the Author.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About, Part 20

But also consider this. People who are not ready for an event they have been told about are also “caught off-guard,” which is simply another way of saying that the event comes like a thief in the night. People may be aware of a specific event upcoming. They may know that it is coming, but they allow themselves to become preoccupied with other things and the event they were looking for gets put on the back burner of their mind. They start to focus on other things and lose sight of the importance of maintaining their focus on that one, upcoming, special event.

Time in Which We Live…is it the Tribulation?

Are we in the Tribulation? Not according to my understanding of the Bible, we’re not. If I understand rightly, things are going to get much worse for Israel and the world! Persecution of Christians will also rise. Count on it! But God, in His grace, mercy, and love for all of those who have faith in Him will not give us more than we can handle. He loves us. He cares deeply for us. He knows our weaknesses and our strengths.

What is the Coming Tribulation All About, Part 19

n both cases – the passage from Revelation and the one from Mark, Jesus notes that the people of the house (of Israel) do not know when the master will return and because of that, they should stay awake and prepared. There are many today – mostly in the Preterists and Reformed/Covenant camps who believe that Jesus already returned spiritually in AD 70 when God judged the nation of Israel by causing Roman armies to destroy Jerusalem and the Temple. The problem with this interpretation is that it is simply not Scriptural. Jesus said when He returns, every eye would see Him (Matthew 24), and in Acts 1, the disciples are told (after Jesus is taken up to the clouds physically) that this Jesus would return the very same way, meaning in the clouds and physically.
