The Seven Bowl Judgments

The Seven Bowl Judgments

In our last article in this series – What is the Coming Tribulation All About, Part 19 – we ended with a brief discussion of the 5th Bowl Judgment. Let’s continue from there, which is really setting the world up for the final battle between Satan and God. It’s called Armageddon because it occurs on the Plain of Megiddo. As far as Satan is concerned, he has been working for thousands of years to get to the point of being able to rule the entire world (through his spiritual son, Antichrist) and when the moment for his face-to-face with God the Son, Jesus, the entire “war” is over in but a few seconds.

Armageddon is the climax of Satan’s work to bring his promises that he swore (recorded in Isaiah 14:13-14) to fruition. You’ll recall the five “I will” statements that Satan made.

I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne above the stars of God,
And I will sit on the mount of assembly
In the recesses of the north.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.’

In the above verses, Lucifer (now Satan) promises to do several things, but notice the very last “I will” statement. It is in that statement, he essentially promises to become God. He will “make” himself “like the Most High.” Satan honestly believes that he can so position himself with the help of Antichrist, the False Prophet (both of Revelation 13) and all the people/armies of the earth, that he will in fact, be able to not only stand against God, but will be successful in recreating himself so that he becomes like the Most High! Is this not the height of absurdity, hubris, and complete narcissism?

But in order for Armageddon to occur, several things need to happen on the earth first. The Sixth Bowl Judgment tells us “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east,” (Revelation 16:12).

Notice that the direct result of the angel pouring out the contents of the sixth bowl is that the Euphrates River dries up. Why is that? The last portion of the text tells us. It is in preparation for the kings from the east. Why? Something is going to happen. Something is being prepared.

We touched on several verses last time where we learned that demons – like frogs – came out of the mouths of the dragon, the first, and second beasts. Revelation 16:15 tells us exactly what we want to know:

for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.

The reason the unclean spirits (demons) go out is to deceive the entire world (with signs, etc.) so that all the kings will gather for war against God. This is why He dries up the Euphrates River. If the leaders of the world want to fight God, He is going to give them that chance!

Notice also that the next two verses tells us, “(‘Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.’) And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.”

Why the parenthesis about God coming like a thief? Because this phrase refers to His Second Coming, not the Rapture. In other words, God is telling us through John that as preparations are being made for the world to fight God (under Satan’s direction), no one still knows the exact day that Jesus will return! In fact, I believe it is clear that Satan does not know the exact day but senses that the time is drawing close. The kings of the world probably have no clue at all and may even be wondering why they are gathering and what the ensuing war will look like.

But also consider this. People who are not ready for an event they have been told about are also “caught off-guard,” which is simply another way of saying that the event comes like a thief in the night. People may be aware of a specific event upcoming. They may know that it is coming, but they allow themselves to become preoccupied with other things and the event they were looking for gets put on the back burner of their mind. They start to focus on other things and lose sight of the importance of maintaining their focus on that one, upcoming, special event.

Read these words from Luke 12:45-46.

But if that slave says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and begins to beat the slaves, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk; the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces, and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

What happened? The slave stop expecting the return of his master and began to act like an idiot, mistreating others and getting drunk. Of course, when the master does return, the slave is taken completely by surprise because he had stopped focusing on his master’s return, even denying that it would happen.

This will be the world for the most part. Jesus isn’t coming. God won’t be back. God doesn’t even exist so how can He return to earth? It’ll be a big joke and since people will not be paying attention to the surety of this fact, when Jesus does return, they will be taken completely by surprise. Even though the people of the world – under various kings – will be gathering to fight God, they actually don’t even understand why they’re gathering or what they should expect! They’ve been so deceived by Satan that they simply do his bidding without even thinking about it.

We’ll talk more about the preparations that will be made for Armageddon in our next article!

Gee, Katherine, so much to critique! That so-called Herzl quote has been heavily edited. It’s a hoax. You may want to do some proper research yourself:

Here’s something you may want to sink your teeth into:

    P.S.

Good work, Modres. I often link your articles to our Facebook page.

Thanks Alf – good to hear from you. Hope all is well.

    One more of importance3 please:

The entire purpose of this life on earth is to learn how to become part of the First Resurrection because: Matthew 7:13 Enter in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to Life, +and few there be that find it.+ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. This means the deliberately false as well as the sincere yet deceived.

John 5:39-40 You search the Scriptures because you believe they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet, you won’t come to me so that I can Give you this Life Eternal Life.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My Kingdom is not of this world: if My Kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is My Kingdom not from hence.

No, the entire purpose of our life on earth is bring glory to God, period. What you’ve said is only part of it.

Consider this: Satan himself will glorify God. In fact, everything that Satan does brings glory to God for a variety of reasons.

We’re going to end our discussion here, Katherine, because not only is it fully unproductive, but your judgmental attitude is what stands out in this conversation more than any truth you are trying to portray.

Thank you for your comments. I have not censored any of your comments, but simply commented on a few of them.

I pray that the Lord will open your eyes to see your level of arrogance and judgment toward other believers.

Your words: If you would like to comment in the future, I would ask and encourage you to keep your comments/statements extremely brief. If you cannot do that, your comments will not be posted. If things like this truly concern you so that you feel God is compelling you to write about it, then I would further suggest you start your own blog. That’s exactly why I started this one.

Again, with all due respect; If you were Taught from Above and not from below, (earth) you’d welcome Truth with open arms; even if a bit lengthy. I wait until He Finishes Teaching me and not before. No one should teach until they have been given authority. James 3:1 Matthew 7: 22-24

+The Meek and Humble spirit that is supposed to reside in Christians does not seem to reside in you and all because I have differing Biblical knowledge ref: your article. If you understood, (Luke 22:27 on being a servant), you wouldn’t be so offended. Instead of becoming offended, please sincerely ask Christ Himself if what I state is true. Wait on Him to answer you before you quickly post reactive answers. Time is short; let’s not be deceived about violence towards anyone in particular the innocent.

    • 7. modres  |  December 1, 2014 at 8:02 AM

Katherine, unfortunately when you say “with all due respect,” it means nothing because you immediately follow it up with claims that I am literally not of God, that I lack humility, that I am deceived by falsehoods.

What you fail to see is your own level of arrogance. You are 100% human, yes? That means – as it does for me – that you also are susceptible to being deceived. Yet, you deny that because you fully believe that you are taught by God. What that means is that no one on earth can teach you anything.

You really need to address the board in your own eye before you go after the speck in someone else’s eye.

Your words: He would bless those who blessed Israel and curse those who cursed them (Genesis 12, 15, and 17), God was effectively saying that those who stand with God where Israel is concerned are on God’s side.

Your words: I support Israel for no other reason than God tells me in His Word that those who support Israel are blessed and those who curse Israel are cursed. That has never been rescinded by God.

God is Speaking about Spiritual Israel and we are in the NC; not OC. He calls us to love everyone and to be completely peaceful. Any True Christian will never have an argument with God on that. He Is Speaking in terms of Spirit; never a physical Israel, flag and government; just as it’s never about a physical US flag or government. What you seem to miss is the annihilation of families in Gaza; babies, children, mothers and fathers, homes, a way to sustain life. They, Israel and others, are savaging, murdering God’s very people in Gaza. We are to speak the truth and expose evil no matter the cost. Matthew 5: 3-10 especially vs 7-9! See with Spiritual eyes, (God’s Spirit) and not human eyes.

Referencing your rebuttal to mine on Revelation 18:4; I was referencing God’s Warning to today’s “church”; meaning any Christian; be they from Israel, Palestine, Iraq etc. or the West. Most the falling away occurs in the U.S. and the rest of the Western countries who are falling away. **Acts 20:30** Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Even some of you will distort the truth in order to draw a following. **That** IS A GREAT PART OF THE FALLING AWAY FROM GOD. I was not referring to not physical Israel.

    • 9. modres  |  December 1, 2014 at 8:00 AM

I fully disagree with you, Katherine. If you read Romans 9-11 carefully, you’ll find out what “spiritual” Israel really means.

  • 10. K  |  November 30, 2014 at 8:45 PM

    Hello, Modres,

Your words: You quote numerous portions of Revelation, but what you seem to fail to understand is that these Scriptural references point to the time of the coming Tribulation period. Yes, Jerusalem is called “Sodom/Gomorrah” because prior to the return of Jesus physically, it becomes that since the Antichrist brokers a seven-year covenant deal with “the many” of Israel’s leaders (Daniel 9:27) and then breaks that covenant in the middle of the Tribulation period.

With all due respect, Revelation, Christ, is Revealing what is wrong with yesterday’s and today’s “church” visa vi the 7 letters. We all should know by now of the Great falling away from HIM is pretty much complete. (see further down re: Rev 18:4)

Please re-read my post. The Israeli gov’t, Palestinian gov’t and other elites world-wide are the ones who’ve set up the anti-christ deception that gullible Christians eagerly fall for. The average Israeli and Palestinian is not part of this Satanic deception.
Jeremiah 7:3-15 Especially vs 6 and 9. if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, (The stranger includes Palestinians and all other people deemed by many in todays’ “church” as “enemies” as told/lied to them by their “preachers”/”teachers” and told/lied to them by their “governments”/professional criminals.) and vs 9:

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know, and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My Name, and say, ‘We are delivered to do all these abominations’?

    • 11. modres  |  December 1, 2014 at 8:12 AM

By that point in the Tribulation, the Church will be gone. Jesus is speaking to Jews and Israel as He mainly did when He walked this earth.

The Antichrist “deception” as you call it is firmly within the pages of Scripture. I’m sorry you fail to see that. Read Daniel 9 – in fact, read the entire book of Daniel focusing in on chapters 7, 8, 9, & 11. Read Paul’s words of 2 Thessalonians 2 where he discusses and outlines the actions of the coming “man of sin/lawlessness.”

Read Jesus’ own words in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24) where He speaks of the “abomination of desolation” and refers specifically to Daniel. This act of abomination occurred in 168 BC with Antiochus Epiphanes when – on his return from losing a war with Egypt – went to Jerusalem and waltzed into the Jewish Temple, went into the Holy of Holies and slaughtered a pig on the altar. This is historical fact as something that has plainly occurred.

Jesus is saying that it WILL occur again during the Tribulation, which is why we learn in Revelation that halfway through the coming Tribulation, the Antichrist will recreate this abomination.

I wish you knew how to rightly divide the truth of God’s Word, but it seems that you are too busy picking out this verse or that, completely devoid of any Scriptural context and using that to buttress your own arguments. Too many people do this to their own peril.

As I said, we are done here. Thank you for your comments.

    Hello,

I have many concerns regarding your post:

What Does the Bible Say About Israel Today? posted May 25, 2011 at 11:05 AM

    Entire article at: https://studygrowknowblog.com/2011/05/25/what-does-the-bible-say-about-israel-today/

I hope you do not censor posts.

Excerpts from your article: ‘Insults and vitriol are routinely placed at the feet of Israel because of their alleged unwillingness to foster peace with the Arab nations that surround her.

I expect this talk from the world. I don’t expect it from people who call themselves Christians, yet this is increasingly becoming more of the norm.’

What the Savior of the ENTIRE WORLD SAYS:

Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Lord Jesus Christ Himself is telling us that this great city, which is spiritual Sodom and Egypt, is Jerusalem.

Much of today’s “church” “blesses”; advocates and supports, whatever Israel does. They turn a blind eye to what Israel, the United States and other countries do to the helpless the world over. BLIND! Or do they just refuse to listen to the warnings?

God Spoke to the spiritual state of Israel in the old Covenant. God is also describing the spiritual state of today’s “church” via the old Covenant. Remember, God lives out of time and one day is as 1,000 years and 1,000 years is as a day to God!

So whatever He, God, Lord Jesus Christ, gave to the Prophets to speak back then, HE is also describing most of those who call themselves after Christ today. Sobering or it should be.

He also described Israel as stiff necked and who would never listen to His (God’s) Pleas given through His prophets!

The very same thing IS going on today!

On deception and evil according to I AM THAT I AM:

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that you do not partake of her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues.

1John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and [the whole world lies in wickedness.]

2Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, [deceiving, and being deceived.]

Any content contained in the following [is never intended] to create, establish, promote or lead anyone towards hostility towards anyone at anytime but [are historical facts] and is entirely intended for the education [against] deception. This is just a speck in the temporarily endless depths of deception.

Any sites in this post are there for research purposes and research purposes only. I don’t adhere to any Holy Teaching except from Christ Who is Above all.

More excerpts from your article: ‘Logically, if “the Jews” controlled the media, there would obviously be far less acrimony toward Israel than there is today. Instead, what do we have in the world? We have a tremendous sympathy toward Arabs and Muslims and particularly the world’s collective heart goes out to the “Palestinians” within the Land of Israel. The world believes they have gotten a raw deal and the fault lies with Israel.

Yet, Israel – or at least “the Jews” – controls the media supposedly. If so, how could Israel have allowed the tide to turn against them? People who believe that “the Jews” control the media obviously also believe that certain editorials that allegedly reveal the deep, dark secrets of Israel’s misbehavior, have managed to squeak those editorials in under the noses of “the Jews” that control the media. Does this even seem logical?……..

Since it is clear that Mr. Obama is set against Israel, then we can also surmise that Soros is as well. There is no way that Mr. Obama would go against Soros and because of that, it is certainly safe to assume that Mr. Obama is in line with Soros’ thinking and his objectives.’

    From: http://www.truetorahjews.org/naziismzionism

‘We implore and beseech our Jewish brethren to realize that the Zionists are not the saviors of the Jewish People and guarantors of their safety, but rather the instigators and original cause of Jewish suffering in the Holy Land and worldwide. The idea that Zionism and the State of “Israel” is the protector of Jews is probably the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the Jewish People. Indeed, where else since 1945 have Jews been in such physical danger as in the Zionist state?!’

    Taught from Above:

Again: Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Lord Jesus Christ Himself is telling us that this great city, which is spiritual Sodom and Egypt, is Jerusalem.

    What is a Semite?

A member of any of various ancient and modern peoples originating in southwestern Asia, including the Akkadians, Canaanites, Phoenicians, [Hebrews, and Arabs.]

I will therefore state to those who scream “anti-Semitism” are quite hypocritical?

Should we truly ponder any of these issues, and ponder only with the Holy Spirit Guiding us, and not our flesh, we will come to the conclusion that these “beliefs” and “lifestyles” originate from hate and lies.

**Who** then, according to our Lord and Savior, The Messiah, our Christ, is the father of all lies, murder, deception and hate:

    **Satan.**

Please do some research on Theodor Herzl, the Founder of the ideology that is “Zionism”

    WHAT IS “ZIONISM”?

Besides being just another ism; [though] it is a deadly, evil, political cult thought up by Satan and implemented by evil men who listen to the deadly, evil spirit of Satan.

The following entries are for those who believe fighting for the physical and secular Israel “is what God desires” and for those in Israel and those world-wide who have been deceived into believing the “Zionist” cause” is a “good” and “just” cause.

Again, any content contained in the following [is never intended] to create, establish, promote or lead anyone towards hostility towards anyone at anytime but [are historical facts] and is entirely intended for the education [against] deception.

    On Zionism

‘Zionism is a movement (political movement; there is nothing holy in polititics/my input) founded by Theodor Herzl in 1896 whose goal is the return of Jews to Eretz Yisrael, or Zion, the Jewish synonym for Jerusalem and the Land of Israel.’

‘The name of “Zionism” comes from the hill Zion, the hill on which the Temple of Jerusalem was situated.’

Supporters of this movement are called “Zionists” which include many of today’s “Christians”.

Benny Morris (the Israeli Historian), described how Herzl foresaw how anti-Semitism could be “HARNESSED” for the realization of Zionism.

    He stated:

“Herzl regarded Zionism’s triumph as inevitable, not only because life in Europe was ever more untenable for Jews, but also because it was in Europe’s interests to rid the Jews and relieved of anti-Semitism: The European political establishment would eventually be persuaded to promote Zionism. Herzl recognized that anti-Semitism would be HARNESSED to his own–Zionist-purposes.”

The term [“Zionism”] was first introduced in 1893 by Nathan Birmbaum.

However, Theodor Herzl, an Austrian Jew born to a prosperous, emancipated Budapest family, is recognized as the founder of the Zionist idealogy when he published his book in 1896, [“The Jewish State”], where he declared that the cure for anti-semitism was the establishment of a Jewish state. As he saw it, the best place to establish this state was in Palestine.

While Herzl claimed that the establishment of a “Jewish” state would cure anti-Semitism, he also promoted anti-Semitism to further his cause.

    Herzl stated in his diary:

“It is essential that the sufferings of Jews.. . become worse. . . this will assist in realization of our plans. . .I have an excellent idea. . . I shall induce “anti-Semites” to liquidate Jewish wealth. . . The anti-Semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews. The anti-Semites shall be our best friends”. (From his Diary, Part I, pp. 16)’

Isaiah 5:20-21 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Isaiah 5:20-21 Destruction is certain for those who say that evil is good and good is evil; that dark is light and light is dark; that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.

Destruction is certain for those who think they are wise and consider themselves to be clever.

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and do not sell it. Also, wisdom and instruction and understanding. The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him.

Revelation 3:18-19 I counsel you to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness will not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

We buy Truth from God not with money, but by laying down our lives day after day obeying I AM THAT I AM.

This is prosperity in God’s Economy.

By laying down our lives day after day obeying I AM THAT I AM, while He, Lord Jesus Christ, Will do His Work in us.

WE ALL MUST REPENT FROM THE DEPTHS OF OUR spirit AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS; THEN ASK FOR TRUTH, WISDOM AND HOLY UNDERSTANDING.

      Hi Katherine,

I don’t generally censor posts unless they’re mean-spirited or just plain asinine. I will then usually delete them from the inbox even before they are posted since no post automatically gets posted here. All of them must be approved.

A couple of things right off the bat. I don’t mind a person like yourself taking the time to comment on my posts. I appreciate it in fact. That said though, it would be helpful to seriously abridge your comments because there is no way that I can respond to your entire post here and I really have no desire to do so.

I will make a couple of cogent points and I fully realize that you and I will not see eye to eye and we will have to agree to disagree, all right?

You quote numerous portions of Revelation, but what you seem to fail to understand is that these Scriptural references point to the time of the coming Tribulation period.

But let me back up for a moment. When God promised through Abraham that He would bless those who blessed Israel and curse those who cursed them (Genesis 12, 15, and 17), God was effectively saying that those who stand with God where Israel is concerned are on God’s side.

When I say I support Israel, what I mean by that should be obvious to people who have read my blog for any length of time. I support what God is DOING and will do in Israel. I believe that the Bible teaches that the coming Tribulation is designed to purge and purify the nation of Israel. It is my belief that God will take from all of Israel a final remnant of people who will be completely sold out to Him. It will be these Israelites who are the true Israelites and who will finally go into possess all the Land originally promised to Abraham. This will happen during the Millennial reign of Jesus after the Tribulation period.

Any Jew who dies today without Christ goes to the same place that any Gentile who dies without Christ goes to – hell. There is no special arrangement that Jews supposedly have that means they do not need to receive salvation from God made possible by Jesus and His ultimate work on Calvary’s cross. The same salvation that is available to the Gentile is the same salvation that is available to the Jew. There is no difference.

When I speak of supporting Israel, the Bible is very clear that the Land of Israel is GOD’s Land. Jerusalem is considered to be the center of the world as far as God is concerned. When Jesus reigns for 1,000 years following the Tribulation, He will do so from His “earthly father’s” throne (David) in Jerusalem. When I look to the Temple Mount and I see the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa mosques, I am not happy because these buildings represent what is anathema to God.

When the Jews rebuild their Temple so that what Paul talks about in 2 Thessalonians 2 and Daniel speaks of in Daniel 9, and Jesus speaks about in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21), that Temple will also defile the Temple Mount because it represents Jews going back to the Old Testament (or never leaving it) and continuing to reject Jesus as Messiah.

But God WILL open the eyes of many Jews during the time of the Great Tribulation and they will understand their need for salvation that comes only from Jesus.

I fully realize that an unsaved Jewish person has no hope and can easily be used of evil and for evil purposes. I’m very familiar with Herzl, thank you.

I support Israel for no other reason than God tells me in His Word that those who support Israel are blessed and those who curse Israel are cursed. That has never been rescinded by God.

You quote and reference some Scripture but you don’t appear to be rightly dividing it, in my opinion. You are not letting the whole of Scripture speak to the issues here.

Yes, Israel (and Jews) continue to be stiff-necked. Because of that they are completely blind to the truth. Doesn’t Paul tell us that their blindness is our blessing? Because they remain in unbelief, God has been able to “go around” Israel and offer salvation directly to everyone.

Those who constantly accuse the Jews (or Israel proper) of being terrorists or anything else, while excusing so-called “Palestinians” are extremely hypocritical. Israel – a TINY country – is surrounded by 22 Arab nations. They are vilified, castigated, denigrated, and all the rest. They are viciously attacked – physically and verbally. Leaders of Arab countries want nothing more than to destroy every last Jew not only from the Middle East, but from the world and yet you essentially state that I am being hypocritical for supporting Israel and pointing out the anti-Semitism of the world? I disagree completely.

Who stands with Israel against nearly an entire world that is opposed to them? In spite of the hatred, the vitriolic rhetoric and wishful thinking on the part of Arabs, Muslims, and so-called Christians who – in my estimation – fail to fully comprehend God’s purposes for Israel, Israel remains as a nation. I find that fascinating. This tiny nation that has been attacked continuously for decades continues to stand. Do you actually believe that this is simply “by chance”?

Have you ever stopped to wonder WHY Israel remains and Jews continue to live? Satan wanted to destroy Israel since the nation was first created. He has never stopped and his most recent effort was through Hitler, who succeeded in wiping out over 6 million Jews. Yet, in spite of those efforts, Israel was reborn. Hebrew – a language that had literally DIED – came back to life, unheard of today.

But if Satan can destroy every last Jew, then God cannot fulfill His promises to bring Israel into the Land and finally allow them to enjoy it fully. There are a plethora of promises that also would not be fulfilled. This would make God a liar. God will not lose.

Aside from all this, Katherine you are fully entitled to your opinion. I respect that. However, everything you have stated that you are applying to me can also be applied to you, so you should do as much soul-searching as you want me to do.

Jews are not perfect. Israel is not perfect. There are atrocities. However, none of this should keep us from supporting what God is doing in Israel both today and in the future. That is what I mean when I say I support Israel.

Who are you to judge Israel, God’s chosen people, the ONLY nation that God directly created for the SOUL purpose of bringing salvation into this world? Yet, this is exactly what you are doing. Paul says we owe a debt of gratitude to the Jews, in Romans. John says that “salvation is from the Jews,” (John 4:22). Paul also spoke about the fact of Israel’s “temporary fall” (Romans 11) and how God will restore the final remnant in the latter days.

There are too many people who have thrown off the truth of Scripture and adopted Replacement Theology or a version of it. Maybe that’s what you’ve done. God has not cast Israel away. He still has plans for them and we must never get to the point of believing that as Christians, we do not owe a debt of gratitude to the nation of Israel because of the fact that God created that nation to bring forth salvation – Jesus Christ.

Yet, you seem to not understand that. You seem to think that you can judge Israel and Jews by externals.

When God in Christ says in Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that you do not partake of her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues, this is toward the end of the coming Tribulation period and Jesus is speaking to JEWS of ISRAEL there. He wants the true Jews to not be part of the corruption of today’s Israel. This does NOT mean God is going to destroy Israel. He has never and will ever do that. He does not want them to be the recipients of the plagues that He is sending to Jerusalem and Israel.

We could on and on about this, Katherine, but I fear it would do not good at all. It is impossible to take so many points as you have listed and respond to them adequately. This is why I have written over 30 books on various doctrinal subjects. You can find them here: http://www.studygrowknow.com/books.html

There are four pages of books that I have written and they go into depth on a variety of subjects. I’ve even written a layman’s commentary on the book of Revelation.

Before I let you go, here is another perspective that may surprise you (or not):

I think you should do far less worrying about people you consider to be “professing Christians” (and may not be) and leave more things in God’s hands. He’s quite capable and it is disheartening that you feel the need to castigate me or anyone else who tends to support God’s work in and through Israel today.

I apologize that I have not covered all your points, but I know that nothing I can say will allow you to see where I’m coming from because you already believe that I am deceived, therefore wrong.

If you would like to comment in the future, I would ask and encourage you to keep your comments/statements extremely brief. If you cannot do that, your comments will not be posted. If things like this truly concern you so that you feel God is compelling you to write about it, then I would further suggest you start your own blog. That’s exactly why I started this one.
