Ten Kings, the Antichrist, and the New World Order, Part 7
These are the main things that this seven-year covenant creates when Antichrist is given power to bring it to fruition. Until God’s timing is right, it will not happen, no matter who tries it and no matter how many times it is tried. The key is God’s timing and we’re not there yet.
Ten Kings, the Antichrist, and the New World Order, Part 3
But where does all of this start? As we noted previously, even though the coming one-world government has roots all the way back to Genesis 11, Nimrod, and the Tower of Babel, it all begins in earnest in Daniel 2. This is where God chose to reveal what was previously hidden and starts the clock ticking. It is interesting that God chose to reveal the start of the first empire all the way to the global unification of the fourth and final empire in its revised or “resurrected” form (yet future), through Nebuchadnezzar. However, it makes sense if this is where God began tracking the 70 “weeks” that are revealed in Daniel 9.
Prophecies of Daniel 11, Part 19
As we learn in Daniel 9:27, peace is brokered by the Antichrist (the first Seal of Revelation 6) and the world celebrates! True peace for at least seven years! However, by the middle of the “week” or final seventh year, Antichrist shows his true face by replicating what Antiochus Epiphanes IV did in 168 BC. At that point, Antichrist will take his seat in the rebuilt Jewish Temple and desecrate it, recreating an “abomination of desolation” that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24. This abomination of desolation will be real, it will be physical, and it will be visible. In fact, it is very likely that seconds after Antichrist goes into the Holy of Holies, that act of defiance will be televised throughout the world and across the Internet. At this point, the Jews who put their faith in him (for peace), will realize what they did and run to the hills, where God will protect that remnant for the final three and a half years of the Tribulation. This is all in the book of Revelation.
Prophecies of Daniel 11, Part 14
Satan wanted man in order to fall to prove God wrong and to gain control of earth and this realm. This is what occurred with the fall, giving Satan the title deed to earth (from Adam, who actually had it beforehand). The entire unfolding drama of redemption was not simply to save and restore humanity, but to restore all of God’s Creation. This is why Revelation 5 is so very important. It’s not just some measure of pageantry taking place in heaven. It’s pageantry involving the process by which Jesus (the Lamb) is seen to have successfully regained the title deed to earth (the seven-sealed scroll). In heaven, as John watched, nothing could move forward until the Lamb was found to have been “worthy” of regaining that title deed. Without it, Satan would be victor.
Prophecies of Daniel 11, Part 13
There have always been small, committed groups of Jews within Israel who stood for the Lord though it would seem that in every generation, Satan has been allowed to trap most Jews in his lies. Today, some of the most ardent opposition of Israel are found within the Jewish community. Part of that is simply due to the fact that they erroneously believe that if Israel was not part of the Middle East, there might actually be peace in the world. This is a complete deception because the global elite needs to keep the world in a state of controlled chaos, with rumors of wars and actual wars. Islam would not rest on its laurels or somehow go away if Israel did not exist in the Middle East. Jews would still exist and Islam hates Jews and Judaism. Moreover, aspects of Islam (ISIS, etc.) are being allowed to believe that they are entering another (and final) caliphate (rule of Islam) throughout the world. Islam is being taught to believe that Allah is with them and is why they are making such tremendous inroads into global society. Of course, that is merely a mirage, created by the global elite. When they are done using Islam, it will be quickly and easily put down.
Prophecies of Daniel 11, Part 12
These faithful Jews had right on their side. They fought to repel Antiochus, his general, and his troops. They were right in doing so because Israel was (and remains) a theocracy, whether that is admitted to in today’s world or not. God Himself created Israel from the Hebrew people He created from one line of Abraham’s ancestry. God created Israel as a theocracy where religious life – first the Tabernacle, then ultimately, the Temple – became the focal point of everything that happened in Israel. Without God, the priesthood, the temple, there was no Israel and by the way, of course all of that pointed to Jesus.
Prophecies of Daniel 11, Part 11
Many students of the Bible today point to the Roman attack on Jerusalem in AD 70, under Titus as fulfillment of Jesus’ words. The problem is that nowhere is there any historical evidence that Titus did to the Jews what Antiochus did. There is no record or evidence that Titus slaughtered anything on the altar or set up any deity inside the Holy of Holies. In fact, records do support the fact that Jewish priests were the ones who actually set fire to the temple so that it could not be desecrated by the Romans. The Romans removed every stone of the temple and melted out the gold overlay as Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24:2, Mark 13:2, and Luke 21:6, but they did not desecrate the temple itself.
Prophecies of Daniel 11, Part 10
Once again Antiochus counted on the support of those Jews who had long ago abandoned following the Mosaic Law (the holy covenant) and readily fell in behind Antiochus. You know, when people allow themselves to become corrupted, nothing can usually change that. Money corrupts. Political favors corrupt. Is it any wonder that no empire lasts that long before it begins to fail? It is happening with America today and that failure will culminate in a complete collapse.
Prophecies of Daniel 11, Part 9
People who live to deceive are merely imitating Satan’s character whether they know it or not. Most of us at one time have been the “beneficiaries” of such deceptive practices and it never feels good, does it? It’s what the best con men are made of, with their ability to have absolutely no concern for others to the point that they will deceive them out of house or home and then move onto the next victim.
Prophesies of Daniel 11, Part 8
So with Seleucus gone, “a despicable person” rises up in his place. Note the phrase “on whom the honor of kingship has not been conferred” in the above verse. It would appear that this despicable person – Antiochus Epiphanes IV – did not really have the right to rule, yet somehow managed it. Antiochus Epiphanes IV was not the only son of Seleucus IV and was not necessarily next in line for the throne, but history shows us that he simply took the role of king upon himself. He also did more than that because he also made himself as though a god by taking the name “Epiphanes,” which means “God manifest.” This was also the term used on coins of that era.
