This outburst of temper was something that she had tried to overcome. For years, she had tried to paint herself as a tried-and-true professional, who was calm in adversity and able to remain clear and level headed in spite of the storm that might be spinning around her.

Not only did Obama know this, but he lied about it to the American people stating his concern that these weapons might wind up in the wrong hands. Not only did they end up in the hands of the opposition in Syria, but some had been siphoned off to other terrorist organizations used to stand against American troops.

But the special bond that exists between Valerie Jarrett, Michelle, and Barack has to do with the fact (according to Klein) that Jarrett is so involved in their lives. They often argue, tensions mount, and Jarrett is the go-to person to help bring order and resolution back. Acting as mother-in-residence, she has actually made herself invaluable and is considered to be Michelle’s closest friend and Barack’s closest advisor.
