Election Day and God’s Purposes Still Move Forward
The Bible says that “except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (Matthew 24:22). This doesn’t mean that the upcoming specific period of time is shortened so much that it means that it has a predefined specific amount of time to it when that time is up, He returns. If God simply let things go on and on, no one would survive. He would have nothing to come back to but thankfully, that will not happen. Nonetheless, this world is building consistently toward that period of upcoming darkness when relatively few will survive. However, eternity follows our very brief time here on this corrupt, dying, soon-to-be-destroyed earth, and that is what all Christians are to actually long for, look for, and understand.
What is the Coming Tribulation All About? Part 9
It is this “prince” that will come one day and will take control of the entire world before Jesus returns at the end of the Tribulation. It is this “he/prince” that the first use of “he” in Daniel 9:27 is pointing. This individual will be the one who brokers a seven-year covenant with Israel and the Arab nations that surround her. Why would Jesus do that? He wouldn’t, so it must be referring to another “prince,” someone Paul calls the “man of lawlessness” (2 Thessalonians 2).
What is the Coming Tribulation All About? Part 7
Christians and those who hold to a religious ideology (with the possible exception of Islam) will be seen as anathema. They will be seen as the problem that keeps the state from becoming even greater. As such, the options will be limited. Change or die. Those who worship the one, true God in Jesus, will in no way separate themselves from their loyalty and allegiance to Him. Thus, their end is assured.
