Nuclear Arms, the United States, and President Obama

President Obama's "no new nukes" message for the world.

Apparently, President Obama is under the impression that by REDUCING our armaments buildup, not only will other nations follow, but there will be a greatly reduced problem of terrorists being able to ultimately possess nuclear warheads.

Unfortunately, this flies in the face of the fact that Iran has nuclear capabilities.  Iran WANTS nuclear capabilities so they can wipe Israel off the map, and virtually anyone who gets in their way.  Does anyone really believe that the countries with dictators (and Iranian “President” Mahmoud Ahmadinejad certainly qualifies) are interested in playing nicely with the rest of the world?

Yesterday at a press conference, “U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said the focus would now be on terror groups such as al-Qaida as well as North Korea’s nuclear buildup and Iran’s nuclear ambitions.”[1]  He also stated that with the U.S.’s new rules on nuclear engagement, this would apparently force these groups to play by the rules.  I cannot help but wonder if Gates actually believed what he said.  More importantly, does he actually believe that the people of the United States (or the world) believe what he said.

Today, Ahmadinejad’s reaction was announced.  “American materialist politicians, whenever they are beaten by logic, immediately put their finger on the trigger like cowboys,” he said.  Mr. Obama, you are a newcomer (to politics). Wait until your sweat dries and get some experience. Be careful not to read just any paper put in front of you or repeat any statement recommended,” Ahmadinejad said in the speech, aired live on state TV.  (American officials) bigger than you, more bullying than you, couldn’t do a damn thing, let alone you.”[2]  Take that, President Obama!

It seems that no one is buying the President’s new strategy, yet he continues to do everything he can to seemingly dismantle this country, piece by piece.  For President Obama to honestly believe that by reducing nuclear armaments AFTER Iran has gotten the ability for nuclear arms, simply shows that he seems unaware of how much people like Ahmadinejad not only does not like him, but has absolutely no respect for him.  In spite of everything that President Obama has done to gain the support of the Arab nations, the only ones who seem really interested in his overtures is Hamas and that is only due to the fact that President Obama has come out against Israel on nearly every front.  Others such as Ahmadinejad obviously prefer to do things on their own, and whether there appears to be a Muslim in the Oval Office or not, there seems to be no trust regarding what President Obama’s motives are for everything he is doing.

Whether true or not, it seems clear that President Obama is determined to recreate this country into something it was not originally founded to be, a Socialist nation.  I cannot help but think what our Founding Fathers would say if they could see what was happening to the United States.  Once known as the bastion of freedom for all, it has become a nation overrun with political strategists, lobbyists, and liberals who – if given the chance – would burn the Declaration of Independence AND the Constitution in favor of a Socialized dictatorship.  The ramifications of this are absolutely tragic, yet it progresses in spite of the fact that though President Obama’s rating is at its lowest point – 44% – and the majority of citizens in this country are up in arms over the new Obamacare (which will likely cost trillions in NEW taxes) and other things as well.

Some individuals are seemingly blind to the problems, preferring to blame previous administrations for our current economic mess (which administration actually AVOIDS blaming current woes on past presidencies?), and believing wholeheartedly that our current president and his administration is the change needed for this country.  This blogger certainly disagrees with that assessment, since the proof is in the pudding.

President Obama has stated that he would prefer to be a great one-term president than a mediocre two-term president (my paraphrase).  I do not think he will get his wish on either count.  No matter, because God is in control anyway.  He allowed President Obama to become the first president in the history of this country to push so hard for Socialism.  He has become the first president who, while having stated that he is a Christian, removed any reference to Jesus Christ during his Easter speech.  I guess no one has told him that without Jesus Christ, there would actually be NO Easter.  He has become the first president of the United States who has bowed religiously to leaders in the Arab and Asian world, and he has become the first president who has openly wooed the Arab nations, and defied Israel.  It will be interesting to see how the history books remember President Obama.  Of course, if the liberal news outlets have any say, he will go down as the greatest president in the history of this country.  After all, they are the ones who really rigged the election by creating the mantra of “hope and change.”  We are certainly getting change, and one can only hope that the end of his term as president will mean that someone else replaces him in the next presidential election…and I don’t mean Biden either.
