The People Have SPOKEN, Mr. President! Are You Listening?

Well, the voters have spoken and many changes have occurred in the Senate and especially in the House! Conservatives now maintain a majority in the House.  At the very least, the back of the White House has been broken (figuratively speaking).

I listened to a couple of speeches from President Obama and unfortunately, he makes it sound as if he has been “humbled.”  He claims he accepts responsibility, but those are merely words since the people that were voted out of office are out of office and out of jobs.  The fact that he claims responsibility really means nothing, unless he is genuinely interested in turning things around so that he now actually begins to listen to Republicans, Conservatives, and Independents.

President Obama states that he wants to now do this.  Question: why was he so unwilling to do it before?  He barreled ahead with his health care package in spite of the fact that 70% of the American people did NOT want it.  Didn’t seem to matter because President Knows Best apparently.

There were massive protests, and the beginning of grassroots organizations like TEA Party and ACT for America! as well as others.  He gave them no notice except to laugh at them.  The will of the people was obviously being ignored by President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and others.

President Obama’s election seemed to give him a mandate to do whatever he wanted to do, not what the people wanted him to do.  He now seems contrite.  He now seems to recognize that the Democratic party is not the only party in existence.  He now seems willing to play ball.

In one of his speeches, he seemed to say all the right things.  Unfortunately, again, what he said were just WORDS.  They mean little to nothing without the connecting action to go with them.  This is what has been missing and I suspect, may continue to be missing.

He says that he understands that the people of America want a reduction in the deficit.  Yet, he spends OUR money like it is water!  He is planning a trip to India this month in which there will be an entourage of 40 planes, 6 armored vehicles and a ton of people.  This will cost TAXPAYERS in the United States BILLIONS of dollars that we do not have, yet it does not seem to matter.

The fact that the American people overwhelmingly want a STRONG border and a President of this country who is willing to do what it takes to tighten up that border seems to have gone over Mr. Obama’s head.  Instead of working to tighten the border, he is doing everything he can to tear it down.  Suing Arizona, stopping work on the border fence, making it virtually impossible for the police in Arizona to uphold the law, and ignoring the Federal Laws that are already on the books!

What will change in the upcoming months?  I do not particularly look for change.  It would be nice if at least parts of the health care package can be repealed.  It would be nice if the White House would drop its suit against Arizona.  It would be nice if President Obama saw the needs of actual CITIZENS of this country, instead of pandering to people who are here illegally.

From everything I have seen, I see a president who wants to dismantle this country piece by piece.  He hit the ground running after his inauguration, doing whatever he could do to run this country into the ground.  With a current Republican majority in the House, he will be greatly slowed.  He will also be expected to explain his actions far more than he has done so far.

The person who sits in the Oval Office works for the PEOPLE of the United States.  Even though this is what President Obama said today, I find it difficult to believe that these are more than sentiments to him.  His actions speak far louder than anything he actually says, though people still succumb to his charisma.

The time of change is at hand.  I believe so many conservatives gained in the House and even in the Senate because too many people were praying.  God is not mocked, though too many in public office believe that they are a law unto themselves.

In Dreams of My Father, President Obama gives us some real clues as to how he thinks and what he hates about this country.  It is those things he is trying to desperately change, doing whatever he believes is necessary to do so.

May 2012 come quickly and may we see a new president in November of that year.  In the meantime, may the conservatives in Congress be able to at least roll back some of the garbage that has become law and may they keep other garbage from entering the legal system.  President Obama has proven that he does not deserve to be president especially considering the fact that he sees himself as a dictator.

President Obama is no more interested in serving the people of this great nation that I am can breathe under water.  He is carrying out his father’s wishes and America has become the nation he has chosen to destroy.  Along the way, he is doing far more damage than we originally thought.  It needs to stop.  Now.
