President Obama Says “Let Me Be Clear” About Extending Bush Tax Breaks

Today I read on the ‘Net that in President Obama’s address in India, he spoke specifically about a midterm course correction for his administration.  Isn’t that interesting?

Funny, but it is amazing how you can dig your heels in when you know that you have a majority of folks in the Congress backing you.  You can even become flip about your attitude, not believing that you need to take anyone’s advice.

It is also very interesting how all of that can change when you realize that you no longer have that precious majority you once counted on to rubber stamp all of your ideas.  With Queen Pelosi no longer top dog in the House, and with the Dems/Liberals/Facists taking a huge hit there, giving the Republicans/Conservatives the new majority, it would appear that in spite of President Obama’s bravado, he has woken up to the fact that he is going to have to recognize that there are in fact, conservatives in this country who hate the fact that through things like Obama care, taxes are on the rise.

He said the day after the election, that the message to him was that he had to “do a better job.”  Of course, in true Obama-esque style, he was not specific about what he meant.  What the message of the voters really said was “President Obama, if you do not start listening to the majority of people IN THIS COUNTRY, you will be a one-term president…and not even a good one-term president.  Our message to him was far more specific than he cares to admit.

The trouble is that he is involved in things that most of the country still disagrees with, yet he continues as if we agree with him.  Who – besides illegal aliens and liberals – wants him to sue Arizona?  Who – besides New Black Panther members and liberals – wanted him to ignore the injustices created by the two members outside a voting precinct in Philadelphia?

The trouble is that President Obama, far from making his administration more transparent, and far from bridging the gap between races, has made his administration far LESS transparent, and only succeeded in widening the race gap.

President Obama knows that he is going to have to play ball with roughly 70% of the population of the United States if he wants the remainder of his term as president to go smoothly and if he wants to have any chance of being re-elected.

He said at one point that he would rather be a great one-term president than a mediocre two-term president (my paraphrase).  The trouble is that a GREAT president WILL be re-elected.  He is not a great president because a great president listens to the will of the people.  He is only NOW starting to do that (or at least look as though he is doing it) because he is being forced to do so, not because he wants to do so.

His narcissism will not allow him to fail and when push comes to shove, he will do what is necessary to save face – his face.  He cannot be viewed as someone who fails and now that the Dems have failed miserably (and it is Obama’s fault), he knows that it has come to close to home to continue on his present set of actions.

Obama has tried to placate the Muslim world and it has not worked.  He has ignored the demands of the people who do not want a mosque at Ground Zero.  He has continually ignored what the majority of the people of this country want because of his own particular agenda.  His agenda above all things is the overriding factor in his decision-making process and now that he does not have the backing of Congress, he knows that he has run out of time and the chances of a good portion of his health care may be repealed.

President Obama needs to start acting as the President of the United States.  He needs to start showing some concern for ALL people in this country by strengthening the border, by dropping his lawsuit against Arizona, by no longer aiding and abetting criminal behavior (by members of the New Black Panther party for instance), and a host of other things.  He needs to understand that he was put into office to do the will of the people of which he is “privileged to serve” as he stated the day after the midterm elections.

He has NOT indicated previously in any way, shape or form that he believes he is privileged to SERVE anyone.  He serves himself and himself only and it is patently obvious to all who eyes to see and ears to hear.

Let me be clear here.  I firmly believe God has all things under control.  He is Lord of all and nothing will ever take that away from him, even the most ruthless dictator or President Obama.  God is the one who puts men and women in leadership positions and He is the One who removes them from those same positions.

As a Christian, I should always be in prayer for the leaders not only of my country – the USA – but for the leaders of all nations.  If nothing else, I should pray that God will use these leaders in order that He is glorified.

With this most recent midterm election, I believe God has sent the message to the White House through the voting public that he (President Obama) needs to adopt a completely different outlook.  Instead of working to dismantle this country, he needs to begin acting as the president, a person who defends this country from all outside forces.

To date, he has not done this.  To date, he has thrown the United States Constitution under the bus at every opportunity.  This is not what President Obama promised under oath to do.  The sooner he begins to understand that he is not an island unto himself, but a person who in fact, should be privileged to serve the people of the United States, the more likely he will be re-elected.

It is President Obama’s errant thinking that has not only gotten this country much further in debt, and many Democrats ousted from the House and Senate, but if he continues (and it appears as though he is willing to make concessions but time will tell) in this same path, he can be assured that a second term president is not in the cards.

President Obama needs to be clear about everything he says.  He needs to state these things with optimal clarity, without mincing words.  He needs to drop his lawsuit against Arizona because that lawsuit is undermining the legalities of what that state can and cannot do.  Far from allowing the police to profile anyone, the law in Arizona merely supports the Federal law already on the books.  President Obama needs to do more than make blanket platitudes about entering into a debate with all concerned parties regarding the illegal alien (or “guest immigrant/visitor” as he prefers to call them).  Time for debate is over.  Time for the Federal government to step up to the plate and begin enforcing the laws that already exist on the books.  A continued failure to do so simply means that President Obama has placed his administration above the law, in deciding what he will and what he will not support.  That is not up to him to decide.
