Terrorism Against the Jewish is Alive and Well…in the West Bank.

Folks, this is a very disturbing story. This past Friday, in the town of Itamar, Samaria, a terrorist(s) broke into a Jewish home and killed all who were there. The terrorist(s) is at large and being sought by police.
The inhumanity of radical extremists seems to know no bounds. Apparently, Fatah “Freedom Fighters” are believed to have broken into the home on the West Bank, and slaughtered the entire family; mother Ruth (35), father Udi (36), and three of their six children—two boys, Yoav (11) and Elad (3), and a girl, Hadas (three months). All were viciously stabbed to death because they were Jewish.
“Although eventually President Barack Obama and other world leaders condemned the terror attack, Netanyahu undoubtedly had a point. Their condemnations were barely a ripple compared, for instance, to the firestorm that erupted a year ago when Israel announced building plans—in Jerusalem, its capital city—while Vice President Joe Biden was visiting.” [1]
The seeming irony of the situation is that the firestorm that did erupt last year played out in the news for days. Did you even hear of this massacre in any news outlet? I only heard of it because a friend e-mailed me the link. Why is that? I mean, seriously, if the Jews are the cause of all the problems in the world and own all the news outlets as many (including recently ousted NPR’s Ron Schiller believes), don’t you think that this would be all over the news?
If the Jews owned and controlled everything as people apparently think they do, don’t you believe that the news would be slanted in favor of the Jews and Israel? It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that this is not the case because just about everything in the news is anti-Israel, not pro-Israel.
This type of criminal act is beyond belief! How does someone slit the throat of a 3-month old baby sleeping in her father’s arms? How does this happen? It happens when people are controlled and possessed by Satan’s hordes of demonic hosts!
No human being by him/herself is capable of that type of criminal act. It is only when someone gives themselves over to malevolent evil that they become one with that same evil. Terrorists can certainly be saved. Salvation is offered to all people, including terrorists. In fact, my wife and I will be listening to an ex-terrorist this week, whose father is head of a large terror organization. The son was in a cab one day and the driver offered the man a Bible and invited him to a Bible study. He chose to go and because of it was saved. Now he speaks out against terror, Islam, and the need for the evangelization of Muslims.
The tragedy here is that there is a growing evil presence in our society today that has tossed caution and invisibility to the wind. More brazen than ever before, the powers of darkness are constantly circling the globe, or as Satan himself said to God during the days of Job, when God asked him what he had been up to; “[He was] roaming about on the earth and walking around on it,” (Job 1:7b).
Notice that Satan said he roamed about on the earth and he also walked on it. Who knows what form he took, or if he remained invisible from human eyes, but the fact is that he was busy trying to find out what evil he could sow and in whose heart he could sow it. Peter tells us that we should “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour,” (1 Peter 5:8). Satan ultimately seeks to destroy, even destroying the person he works through.
Satan plays for keeps and anyone who believes otherwise is going to have a rude awakening. There are photos of the murdered family on the ‘Net. I will not post the link here so that it cannot be accidentally clicked on by someone who does not want to see the carnage. However, realize that the ferocity of the attack was meant to destroy and slaughter, not merely kill. These people had no chance at all and the police are still not sure how many predators were involved, though 20 have been arrested so far.
The world is becoming more evil, folks. The light is fading. God expects us to continue working. He also expects us to be as wise as serpents and as gentle as doves. Imagine if the entire world goes crazy and terrorists start perpetrating acts of violence and murder throughout the world at an unprecedented rate. It could happen. Just ask Russ Dizdar who wrote The Black Awakening. Satan knows all too well that with many in Islam, he has individuals who are fully deceived and because of that deception are willing to do anything they can to promote what they believe is the truth, including using violence.
Let me ask you this: had that father been fully armed and able to defend himself, would he and nearly his entire family have died? It obviously depends upon how many terrorists broke into their home, committed their cowardly acts, and then fled, but he would have had a better chance of surviving and protecting his family.
One wonders why these terrorists believe they must flee? After all, don’t they believe that they are doing the work of Allah? Don’t they brag about how they love death? If so, then why run? Why not face the music, boldly, head held high?
They run because they are cowards. They attack innocent people who are unable to protect themselves for the same reason. They are bullies who run at the slightest bit of danger toward themselves. They don’t love death. They love killing and terrorizing.
These cowards need Jesus and it is extremely difficult to even want to pray for these individuals, much less want to evangelize them. It makes me tend to feel a bit like Jonah, who ran because he knew if he went to Nineveh and preached to those people, the very people he did not at all like would repent. He was proven correct, though years later the entire city was in worse shape and was eventually destroyed by God because of it.
Folks, above all things, we need to pray for one another. Authentic Christians need to embrace the job that God has given us and that may mean ministering to people who have murdered in the name of Allah. A loving God would not expect His followers to kill, nor would a loving God accept that type of evil without penalty. Whether He deals with it in this life or not is not for us to know, but we do know that He will deal with it in the next life…if something is not done in this life to move them from the broad way that leads to destruction.
Except for the grace of God, I could be one of the prisoners that I visit each week. Except for the grace of God, I could have been born into a family that believes Islam is the way, the truth, and the life, instead of that honor going to Jesus Christ, who is above all things, all principalities, and all powers. Except for the grace of God, I would still be walking around without salvation.
I can hate the barbarism. I can hate the cowardly acts of murder. I can hate the unmitigated rage that drives many of these terrorists. I cannot however, hate the person who commits those criminal acts. I want to, but I cannot. Lord help me.
We must focus on our task of introducing people to Jesus. That is our job. That is our calling. We need to pray for strength, for compassion, for discernment, and for the fortitude to carry on until He calls us home.
