Farrakhan, Jackson, and Shaprton: The Three Musketeers of Racism

Isn’t it funny (if not ironic) that while people like Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Ed Schultz and a host of other leftheads are busy calling whites in America (or at least whites in the whole of the Republican party) racists, they seem to easily ignore the inherent racism that carries itself around in three individuals who are nothing but a black mark (no pun intended) on the society of the United States?

Remember when Jesse Jackson referred to New York City as “hymietown”?  He grudgingly apologized and Jewish individuals and leaders were quick to forgive.

How about Al Sharpton?  He gained notoriety with the Tawana Brawley case (also in the state of New York), which involved a young black girl (Brawley) claiming that a number of white police officers kidnapped her, raped her, smeared feces on her, and wrote the “N” word on her.  It became clear that Tawana made up her story (although of course, some members of the black community still believe her) and the whole thing fell apart.  It was so obvious that people were making things up as they went that it was tragic that the character of several police officers were nearly ruined as members of the black community held their hands to the fire.  To date, Sharpton has not apologized for any wrongdoing.

Farrakhan is something else altogether.  The man is so steeped in Islamic Black Dominion Theology that he has become a walking cesspool of racial overtones and epithet.  I’m sure he and Jeremiah Wright (Mr. Obama’s previous pastor) have a lot in common.

Aside from this, do you recall Jesse Jackson’s comment about Mr. Obama and his (Jackson’s) desire to remove Mr. Obama’s testicles?  Of course, he was far more crude about it.  I thought he was  “Rev” though?  I can’t imagine Jesus making the comment he made, but what do I know?

How about Farrakhan’s recent comments on a radio talk show directed toward Mr. Obama in which he asked him, “Who the hell do you think you are?” and this was in reference to Mr. Obama telling Gaddafi he needed to step down.

I guess the only people who can actually criticize the current president of the United States are those within his own ethnicity, or Democrats.  But wait a minute, isn’t Mr. Obama’s mother white?  Doesn’t that make him part-white and part-black?  Funny, but he seems to have dislocated or removed himself from any aspect of being caucasian.

As far as racism is concerned, we all remember the situation with the white Duke lacrosse players in which they were falsely accused of raping a black stripper.  Because she was black, she managed to engage the media and a frenzy began with white political lawyers promising justice for the black woman, in spite of the fact that nothing had been proven yet.  Of course, the media really gave no discernible attention to other black individuals who knew the stripper and came out against her.  That just doesn’t play well in the media.  It’s far more fun to go after innocent white people who are accused of doing something reprehensible to blacks.

So how far have we come in America?  At times, it seems that we have not come far at all.  I realize that back in the beginning of this country, especially in the south, plantations existed owned by rich white landowners.  I wasn’t one of course and neither was anyone in my ancestry as far as I know.  Even if there were a few individuals in my ancestry that owned slaves here in America, that’s not me at all.  I had no part in it.

Since my grandparents on my father’s side came over here from Italy and my great-grandparents on my mother’s side came from parts of Europe, they were not around to participate in the slavery issue when it actually happened.

As I stated before, the Civil War took place on American soil and it was fought by both black and white soldiers against the issue of slavery and the south’s wanting to secede from the Union so they could keep their slaves and have their own economy.

Roughly 700,000 soldiers in total died during the Civil War and about 360,000 of them were in the Union army, as opposed to the Confederate army.  So more than 350,000 soldiers lost their lives fighting to guarantee blacks the freedom that Lincoln wanted.  That’s 360,000 people (blacks and whites) who gave their lives for freedom.

I don’t hear about that though.  I hear that because I criticize Obama, I must be a racist.  That’s the real reason I condemn his actions.  It can’t be because he’s the worst president ever (worse even that Jimmy Carter).  It has to be because I’m a racist, right?  Of course, according to Goldberg, Schultz, Behar and the rest, that’s my motivation.

Here’s something else:  racism is a highly emotionally charged issue.  If I wanted to play the game that liberals are playing, I could go to the networks and tell them I have a reality show that will prove that whites are racist.  I would probably sell that show.  Then I would create situations in which white people were literally boxed into a corner and made to look as though they are racist.  Wouldn’t that be great?  Can you imagine the ratings?  I can.  It’s a show that would be able to charge hundreds of thousands of dollars per minute for advertising.  It would be all the rage.  Oprah would pick it up.  Joy Behar would grab onto the shirt tails of the show, as would Ed “who is he anyway?” Schultz, Whoopi Goldberg and a host of other liberal leftheads who really have nothing to say but if they grab onto that particular issue, they are all of a sudden seen as geniuses.

My family and I were in the south recently; Georgia to be exact.  I must say I was amazed.  It absolutely amazed me at how easy it was to talk to people, both black and white!  I recall standing in a very long line waiting to eat at Golden Coral on a Sunday after Church.  The ease with which you could simply start talking to the people around you was awe-inspiring.

We’d been back to Georgia on several occasions, but had not spent a good deal of time there.  This trip was different.  It gave us a completely new perspective.  Here in California, most people look ticked off.  It takes a lot to break past their somewhat hardened look.  Smiles seem so natural in the south and yet that is where racism was on display for the entire world to see!

There are people who keep racism alive in this country, but I’m not convinced it is the white person…or the Republican.  I’m convinced that it is the black person with the huge chip on his/her shoulder.  Take a quick look at Farrakhan, Sharpton and Jackson.  They have made their fortunes or at least gained their notoriety on the subject of racism.  To listen to Farrakhan speak, you would think that every white person is a racist to some degree.  To hear Jackson tell it, racism is hidden in every fiber of white America.  To listen to Sharpton…well, I’d rather not since he’s the least intelligent of the bunch and simply rode to fame on the shirt tails of Jesse Jackson.  Must be interesting, making a living off claims of racism all the time.  I can’t imagine being a fly on the wall when these three get together.  Wow, what a conversation THAT would be.

It was not long before Mr. Obama had taken office than “Minister” Farrakhan started claiming that the “white right” was trying to derail Obama’s presidency.  He took a shot across the bow.  So while he was busy claiming that white America was made up of a bunch of racists, no one noticed that he himself is an avowed racist.

Yet, months later, Farrakhan on a national radio program takes Mr. Obama to task (“who the hell do you think you are?”) regarding Gaddafi and that’s perfectly fine.

You see black people (or other people of color) who ARE racist enjoy calling whites racist because they can.  Those who can, do, and they get away with it solely because of their color.  Whites who make racial claims are met with rolling eyes, etc., or in the case of Eric Holder, a declaration that he supports “his” people as opposed to white people I presume.

The people who are making the claims of race are the liberal leftheads who do so because of RATINGS.  They make their claims because they can and do.  Ed Schultz is a bit of an anomaly and so is Bob Schieffer.  It seems Ed Schultz enjoys beating up white people (himself white) because of the guilt trip that he’s bought into from members of the black community.

I was watching the clip of Bob Schieffer claiming racism and I started to laugh.  He was trying so hard to look and sound pained that he reminded me of the old model of the Aurora Witch, with a bit of the Wicked Witch of the East thrown in for good measure!  I could almost hear him say to Donald Trump, “I’ll get you, my little pretty…and your fake hair too!

Oh well, the reality seems to be that people will continue to think what they want and grasp at the weakest straw to find a way to get their candidate re-elected.  After all, the race card worked to get Mr. Obama elected in the first place.  You can’t blame them for trying to play the same card in hopes of getting him re-elected, can you?  What else do you do when you can’t or refuse to discuss the actual issues?

It’s unfortunate though that some individuals believe the best way to win an argument is to make false accusations as a pre-emptory shot across the bow.  It not only tends to silence constructive criticism, but acts to cancel the possibility of having any meaningful conversation at all.
