EPA’s Upcoming Land Grab via the UN’s “Agenda 21”?

Cleaning water by stealing from Americans?

Cleaning water by stealing from Americans?

I haven’t written on anything overtly political (except my own brief excursion into politics in attempting to win an open seat on my local city council) for some time. I feel clean because politics has a tendency to get people dirty. The way things are twisted or the way abject lies are tossed about as if by merely saying them, they become truth.

Let’s face it, in today’s world, the far left wants to win. They hold nothing back and that means they are not above lying, cheating, and even involving themselves in unethical behavior to get what they want. They see no problem with that either. It’s all part of the game they play.

The problem also concerns the fact that the left’s agenda is to bring about massive change to the US of A. They’ve done a good deal of damage already and obviously, things are looking up for them. If not pinch-hitting for any numbers of lies coming from our current administration to yelling and name-calling those on the more conservative side of the aisle, it appears to be a no-holds barred situation in which the left’s propensity to judge, to inflame, to support all the wrong things (from my perspective), and even to completely castigate anyone who deigns to disagree with them (with some of the most foul language available, is par for the course.

One of the things I find fascinating is when something like “Agenda 21” comes up. In order to discredit people who tend to think our government – in collusion with the UN – is “up to something,” that won’t wind up being good for Americans, the only real way that the left can deal with the issue is by attacking people who deign to think that “Agenda 21” is a real possibility.

I’m not simply talking about what is written about “Agenda 21,” by those good ol’ folks at the UN either. I’m talking about what is actually meant by what has been written by them about “Agenda 21.”

If you have ever taken the time to read any documentation coming from the UN, what you find is paragraph after paragraph that can mean many things. At the same time, rarely are the paragraphs within the documents from the UN carefully and fully explained either. In the end, you are left to assume you think you know what the documents mean, but in reality, you need to wait to find out.

I’ve used this example before, but it is useful this time as well. When Mr. Obama said, “Change is Coming!” people cheered, clapped, and wet themselves due to the ecstasy they felt because of those three little words. Can you believe it? Go back and watch some videos from late 2008, prior to the presidential election. What you’ll see when Mr. Obama used that phrase are crowds that go wild immediately afterwards. It’s kind of like listening to Larry the Cable Guy spit out, “Get ‘er done!”

The problem with “Change is Coming!” though is that for every ten people, there are ten explanations of what that term meant. Mr. Obama didn’t really have to explain it at all. People assumed that the change that was coming would be good for them.

Now into his second term, we have watched as Obamacare has been rolled out as a dismal failure. Thousands and thousands of people in the US are losing their insurance and being forced to opt into Obamacare only to find out that in many cases, their insurance premiums are doubling, tripling, or quadrupling. All of this is being blamed on the GOP and conservatives of course.

All Obamacare does is really insert a middleman (the government) into the equation and anytime there is a middleman for anything, prices go up. It is a fact of life. In order for the government to operate and maintain Obamacare, billions of dollars are necessary. Where will that extra money come from, you might ask? Taxpayers and insurance companies, which also means that any money forked over by insurance companies (to align their policies with the government) will trickle down to the consumer (taxpayer).

It is the same with “Agenda 21.” When you read the UN documentation, there really doesn’t appear to be a great deal to be concerned with because so much of it is simply too vague to appear to be a threat. Unfortunately, it is that very vagueness that allows our government to do what they will in order to become compliant with the dictates of “Agenda 21.” Our federal government can simply say that in order for them to follow the dictates of the agenda, they must do this, that, or the other thing. Who can argue with them?

Bridget Johnson (PJ Media) wrote an article called “EPA Stealthily Propels Toward ‘Massive Power Grab of Private Property Across the U.S’.” In it, she details how our federal government is going after a huge land grab. Remember when Mr. Obama gave himself authority to control so many things that came under the auspices of the EPA, not that long ago? Johnson’s article highlights just how the feds are moving on that “authority” (which he really doesn’t have because it violates a number of Constitutional amendments that guarantee the people’s rights, but no one will question him on it), to place so many stipulations (via the EPA) on water sources, that the people who own the land that have those water sources will become completely hamstrung by our government. Talk about overreach.

Johnson further noted that “While the country is immersed in Obamacare headlines and a congressional tussle over delays and mandates, the Obama administration is stealthily moving toward unprecedented control over private property under a massive expansion of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Water Act authority.

“The proposed rule, obtained by the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee in advance of EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy’s testimony at a Thursday oversight hearing, widely broadens the definition of waterways over which the federal government has jurisdiction to as little as a water ditch in a backyard.”

The very troublesome part, because of the way the Clean Waters Act has been redefined, is that the “waters of the United States would include all ponds, lakes, wetlands and natural or manmade streams that have any effect on downstream navigable waters — whether on public lands or private property.”

Amazing, isn’t it? The government is literally reaching into our backyards to declare that even though bodies of water (natural or created) may be on land owned by people in this country, the Clean Waters Act is said to give “control” of those bodies of water to the government.

We’ll be back with more on this subject and how it all ties in with the UN’s “Agenda 21.” Stay tuned.
