It’s Not Compassion that Drives Democrats Regarding Illegal Aliens

The US cannot pick up the tab for other countries who won't do anything for their own.

The US cannot pick up the tab for other countries who won’t do anything for their own.

Most are aware by now that the influx of illegal aliens due to the open border between Mexico and the United States has created some measure of chaos in America. Illegals by the busloads are being transported to “immigration centers” for processing, then shipped to individual states to become part of the population there.

Murietta – a small town in California – was the destination of some until the people of that town got together and protested the presence of the buses and the illegals. Texas is also another state where processing is occurring.

There are stories of medical personnel who are examining and treating these illegal aliens and being threatened with arrest should they leak the truth regarding the impact of the diseases that these people from south of the border are bringing into America. One counselor working with the aliens is quoted as saying that “measles, chicken pox, strep throat, lice, and scabies are pandemic in the camp; moreover, she warns that many of the children and young people have severe psychological and emotional problems.

The issue is alarming, yet those who work when them are threatened with jail if they say anything. In spite of that, people are talking, trying to warn the rest of us.

A few generations ago, immigrants to America were only allowed in after they were examined by medical staff at places like Ellis Island and found to be in good health. Not only was it not good to allow immigrants into this country who could spread diseases, but it was tantamount to literally creating a pandemic.

Today, this is obviously not the case. The Obama administration does not care what, if any, diseases are brought into America. Like the Cuban boat crisis of decades ago, the Obama administration also doesn’t care whether or not the people who are literally walking into this country have criminal records or gang affiliations. The “give me your tired, your poor…” dictum has become “throw us your sick and criminal-minded.”

The terrible tragedy here is that Mexico either won’t or can’t deal with their own populations of people. There is no “welfare,” no entitlement programs in Mexico to speak of for the person who has fallen on hard times. Mexico’s answer is to go to America and then castigate us for our “immigration” policies. This is in spite of the fact that their own policies toward those who attempt to enter Mexico are far more severe than America’s policies. The hypocrisy is ignored.

But what is at the root of all of this is found in Cloward-Piven’s strategy to overwhelm the system. While the Democrats are too often seen as the party of compassion, what is really going on is anything but compassion. The system – any system – can only take so much. Pushing beyond what that system is able to contain will force it to strain. Continuing the assault with result in a complete collapse.

This is essentially the Cloward-Piven strategy. It helps to understand the both men were Marxists through and through. They hated capitalism and felt that it must be destroyed. The best way to do that was to overload it until it collapsed.

“Back in the Sixties, Marxists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven came up with a great strategy for overloading and collapsing democratic welfare states, paving the way for socialist tyranny. Basically, the idea was to hit the system with a tidal wave of demands it couldn’t refuse, and couldn’t possibly fulfill. The Left would then insist that the moral argument for the system remained intact, so the only way to meet those impossible demands was to scrap every vestige of Constitutional restraint and republican self-government, instituting a totalitarian system that in theory would forcibly restructure society to promote ‘fairness’ and give all those government dependents what they ‘deserve’.”

In such a case, it is easy to see how Cultural Marxism (aka political correctness) enters the picture and because decisions then are made via emotional virtue, how can anyone refuse to help in situations like this where thousands of illegal aliens come waltzing across the border?

The reality though is that if you only have enough food to feed yourself and your family, as soon as you start giving your food away to others who are in need, what does that mean for you and your family? It means you have less. In all probability then, all you’re doing is passing out food meant for four and trying to spread it around to 50, which doesn’t work. No one that I know is able to bless that food and watch it turn into enough to feed 5,000 or 10,000. While Jesus did it, I know of no one who can do it now. Of course, Jesus did it to also announce that He was more than simply a man. He was blessed by God the Father and Jesus was doing His will as Messiah, Savior, and Lord; God in the flesh.

Paul says that anyone who does not take care of his own family is worse than an infidel (1 Timothy 5:8). In America, the same principle applies. There are not enough jobs to go around. There is not enough money to go around (so the fed keeps printing more of it and by putting that extra paper into circulation, it devalues the money that’s already in circulation). We have not gotten out of the poor economic standing that we are in and things have not only not improved, but have been made worse with President Obama spending more money than every president combined who came before him. It’s money we do not have and it has created a national debt that is far greater than $17 trillion-dollars, a figure most of us cannot even imagine.

So, in the end, are the Democrats compassionate, or are they simply doing two others things? Are they 1) doing their level best to collapse the system so that something else will be installed, and 2) are they trying to turn red states blue by allowing illegal aliens to bypass the system and become eligible to vote knowing that they will likely vote as Democrats? What do either of these things have to do with true compassion?
