However, is the government really willing to give up that easily? I don’t think so. While I believe that the whole thing going on behind the scenes has to do with a solar plant that Harry Reid (and his son, Rory) are trying to push through for a large Chinese energy giant, which would bring $5 billion dollars in (with the Reids gaining a good portion of that, we can assume), the reality is that a test to determine the level of kickback from Americans. The feds got their answer and now they can go back, regroup, rethink, and plan for the next phase.

It seems apparent that this case was portrayed as racist from the beginning. One network went so far as to edit the police call from Zimmerman to make him appear to be a racist. Another introduced Zimmerman to us as a “white/Hispanic,” in spite of the fact that Zimmerman sees himself as a Hispanic. He’s also a Democrat and voted for Obama in 2008, but that wasn’t newsworthy.

The story also notes that this accident happened “less than a mile from where Zimmerman shot Martin.” Obviously, that proves it. Zimmerman was very likely home at the time of the crash, or skulking around some bushes lying in wait for the next black thug that dared to walk through Z’s neighborhood.

What boggles my mind is that these leftists actually believe what they’re doing is the correct way to handle things like this. Did they sit the poor kid down at a table in a darkened room with a bright light shining in his face? Were there two teachers playing good cop, bad cop with the kid until he “confessed” about the “real” reason he brought the toy gun to school?

Apparently, Obama is willing to ask pastors to use their influence to change the way folks think. But all this is really a direct assault on the 2nd Amendment, which clearly states that it shall not be infringed. It has already been infringed and placing more things between it and the individual buying guns further infringes it.

One of the things I have never understood is why the left seems to believe the idea that larger government somehow translates to a better society. We already know that there is incredible waste in our government and to increase its size simply means to increase the amount of waste. That apparently doesn’t bother a lot of people on the left though because in general, they all seem to be in favor of larger government.

One thing he left us with was his belief that we on the right constantly assume the government is coming for our guns and before we know it, the black helicopters will be flying overhead to round us all up as well. This is what those on the left do because it’s easier than engaging in honest discourse. Of course, not all on the left are that way, but it seems that the majority of them are and it makes for impossible discussion. When someone on the left resorts to ridicule and denigration (as they are wont to do), they are essentially refusing to engage in intelligent dialogue, but would rather act like 8-year-olds on the school grounds (no offense to mature 8-year-olds meant). The left also has a tendency to forget things…a lot.
