Fear Not
God wants us to “sit down” on the inside by empowering us to live as He would have us live. Interestingly enough, if we actually learn to biblically fear God, we will, I believe, at the same time, be learning to “fear not” or to “rest in Him” as He works in and through us for His good pleasure.
Failure to Fear the Lord
Job had heard God and had absolutely no answer to God’s queries. None. Job was left realizing how utterly vile he was and had no ground to ask or demand from God any answer to any question. This was Job’s start of true wisdom because he had finally come to a point of understanding what it meant to truly fear God.
Discerning the Times: CV-19 News, Satan’s Shoes and Rebounding
When I first read about this, I was surprised and even offended, thinking that the shoe company, Nike, had gone way off the rails in producing a shoe dedicated to Satan himself. It actually turns out that the shoes are not produced by Nike at all. A rapper by the name Lil Nas X (real name is Montero Lamar Hill), along with the art collective, MSCHF, bought 666 pairs of Nike AirMax shoes. They then went to their creative boards and created a shoe they call “Satan Shoes. The shoes are of course, limited to 666, numbered and the soul of each shoe has red ink along with a drop of human blood. Nike fully denies any involvement in the product and it would likely be difficult for their lawyers to issue a cease and desist since what Nax X is doing is no different from buying some Ford Mustangs, souping them up and adding designs to them and then reselling them at a profit.
False Priests: Hophni and Phinehas
What might have been different had Eli had the backbone train up his sons properly or to remove them from the priesthood when he saw their ongoing sin? This same truth should apply to many within Christendom today, yet not only do they continue their blasphemous teachings, but they are often applauded by the people in the pews. Why is that? Because of a complete dearth of discernment today. Emotional virtue has made its way into Christendom. If it “feelz” good, then it must be good, right? Wrong.
Focusing on the Future, Pt 11
At any rate, all I can strongly suggest is that the Bible becomes the main book read each and every day. All throughout the Old Testament, it is very clear that the emphasis was on what God had said to Moses and was later written down by him so that the people could constantly go over His Words with a fine-tooth comb and do what that Word said, and do it from the heart. Unfortunately, as we know, this rarely happened with Israel in the Old Testament and by the time, Jesus arrived on the scene physically, there was even less of it happening. His was an uphill battle from start to finish, but finish He did!
Discerning the Times: Truth for Christians
Ironside clearly enunciates the truth of Scripture and proves that while our lives should continually improve because of our standing and position before Christ and the progress that we are to make as we daily surrender to Him, the fact remains that those caught up in some form of holiness movement become either entirely hypocritical or have some type of breakdown and/or falling away from the faith. This belief that we can reach a state of absolute pure and consistent holiness without ever again sinning is not taught in Scripture and Ironside explains that very clearly.
God is Big Business
As can be expected, there are plenty of professing Christians who continue to state that we should not “judge.” After all, we are all fallen creatures saved only by God’s grace extended to us. That of course is true, but this idea of “not judging” is increasingly becoming the battle cry of those within Christendom who choose to only emphasize God’s grace as though God has nothing to do with holiness and therefore does not require it of those who follow Him. True, we are not to judge another person’s heart condition or their motivation for doing something. That, however, does not preclude us from judging another’s words or actions on their face. In fact, we are called in many places to do this (John 7:24; 1 Cor 11:5-13; Rom 12:9; 2 Tim 2:16-17; 3 John 1:9-10, etc.). We are called to make correct judgments and of course, our judgment should always begin with ourselves, but this does not mean we should never judge the words or actions of someone else who claims to be a Christian. In fact, we must do this, comparing those words and actions to our highest authority – Scripture.
God’s Coming Great Reset, Pt 4
Satan’s real goal is to use the cabal as a fake target that will appear to be defeated by Antichrist, who will hit a grand slam with the people of this world by overcoming the cabal. The world will see Antichrist as the “second coming of Jesus” at that point, who, with force took out the cabal. No wonder they’ll all praise Antichrist and follow him anywhere even willingly taking the “mark” to show their love for and loyalty to him.
God’s Coming Great Reset, Pt 1
In general and even with respect to many specifics, God has revealed His plans and those plans take into consideration and highlight Satan’s plans. What’s ultimately coming is not humanity’s “great reset,” but God’s Great Reset. Satan is on a leash. He’s always been on a leash. If he wasn’t, he would’ve killed Job. He’d probably kill each Christian who was fully committed to God and His will. Satan has limited power. He is not omniscient, omnipotent, or omnipresent. Satan is not God and that reality is very bristling to him, yet he has been working since his own fall to prove God wrong. This of course is the height of arrogance and his end will come soon enough.
News and Notes Update: February 1, 2021
Understand please that when I say the PreTrib Rapture, I am talking about the Lord taking His Church/Body to be with Him prior to the pouring out of His WRATH. The Bible says “day of the Lord” is the start of God pouring out His wrath onto humanity and this earth. It is not a particular “day” but a period of time; the seven year Tribulation period. The entirety of that seven years is the pouring out of God’s wrath and note, all events of the Tribulation are directed by God from His throne room as evidenced by the fact that the apostle John is called up to heaven to begin viewing those events from that vantage point (Rev 4).
So, while the Church is fully exempt from all aspects of God’s wrath, we are not exempt from tribulation (small “t”) and persecution in this life. In fact, we are promised tribulation (Matthew 10:16-42; John 15:20; 2 Timothy 3:12; see also Revelation 2:10). Persecution is promised. If you are not at all being persecuted for being a Christian, maybe your circle of friends is too small. Maybe you’re not being an effective witness for Christ. I’m not trying to make you feel guilty. I’m simply noting that you may wish to take a look at things. Are you afraid to stand up for Jesus? Are you unwilling to speak out against the things that society has said we cannot be “negative” about? I’m not saying to go looking for persecution. I’m simply saying be prepared for the fact that if you’re not suffering for it now, it may well be on the way.
