Glutamates: The Final Piece of the Health Puzzle?

The simple truth appears to be that too many foods already contain glutamate. As an excitotoxin, this can play havoc with our brains, pushing us way over the edge of feeling tired while wired, making it difficult to calm down and deal with stress. This can all tie in with our adrenals as well, because the adrenals are the ones that help fight off the effects of stress. However, when they become overused, they can come to a point of not working that well or not at all. When this happens, they are unable to fight off the effects of too much glutamate in our systems.

GABA, GABA, Doo, Part 8

Folks, let me state clearly that if you share this information that you’ve been reading in this particular series, you will eventually run against people who think you’re a moron, a loser, a conspiracy buff, someone who spends too much time worrying about things that are beyond your control. They may laugh at you and ridicule you for what you believe is truly important. They may even use themselves as an example of how “fit” they are and they don’t worry about food and other things. But ask yourself this: are those people healthy? Are they overweight? Are they on numerous prescription drugs for high blood pressure or something else?

GABA, GABA, Doo, Part 7

Aluminum or other heavy metals introduced into our bodies as infants via vaccinations, and throughout our lives in daily chemicals and cleaning agents we use, can and almost always will cause unbalances in our GABA-to-Glutamate ratio. This wreaks havoc on our brains because these two neurotransmitters are two of the most important neurotransmitters we have, but certainly not the only ones.

GABA, GABA, Doo, Part 5

This is not an easy thing to do to keep these things in balance, especially with the way most Americans eat today. As I’ve stated several times, if you will simply focus on eliminating the things in your diet that are actually causing your body harm, you are well on your way to increased health. This, in turn, will allow your gut to create the needed neurotransmitters and these in turn, will be utilized by your brain to work as they should work.

GABA, GABA, Doo, Part 4

Are you getting the picture that if you fail at taking care of your health, it will be disastrous? Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but eventually, your immune system will start to break down and will be unable to keep track and tabs on all the things that are starting to go wrong in your system. It would be like using the dirtiest gasoline you can find to fill your tank or never-changing your oil. Eventually, your car’s engine would start to break down. There are enough normal maintenance issues with any vehicle but the last thing you want is to have to replace your engine because you didn’t put the right fuel into it.

GABA, GABA, Doo, Part 2

Think about the fact that just these two neurotransmitters – GABA and glutamate – perform many functions via communication in our systems. When they are out of balance or sync, the impact on our physical, mental, and spiritual health is almost immediately seen. What is very interesting is that these two particular neurotransmitters are exact opposites. GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter, while glutamate is an excitatory neurotransmitter.

GABA, GABA, Doo, Part 1

If you are a Christian especially, you need to realize and comprehend that as Paul tells us our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), we need to treat it as such! This is so important, I cannot emphasize it enough. What we put into our bodies, whether food or drink will deplete or replete our neurotransmitters. The depletion of them will create all manner of illness and malaise. The repletion of them will help make and keep us healthy.
