Folks, let me state clearly that if you share this information that you’ve been reading in this particular series, you will eventually run against people who think you’re a moron, a loser, a conspiracy buff, someone who spends too much time worrying about things that are beyond your control. They may laugh at you and ridicule you for what you believe is truly important. They may even use themselves as an example of how “fit” they are and they don’t worry about food and other things. But ask yourself this: are those people healthy? Are they overweight? Are they on numerous prescription drugs for high blood pressure or something else?

Americans have been taught that the food that is available to us is healthy and good for us, so stop complaining and eat! That’s wrong. Much of the food that we eat is slowly killing us. Do you want to become healthy? Do you want to get off some of your medications? It will involve a complete lifestyle change. Forget the so-called “diet.” They are generally worthless because even if/when people lose weight, they eventually stop being on their diet. At that point, they will usually gain all their lost weight back and then some. I’m talking about a lifestyle change that puts you in charge of your health. Is that something you’re interested in?

Is Jesus Our Heavenly Handyman?

The best thing I can hope for in this life is that God will grant me the ability to see what I can control regarding my own quality of life (health). I can’t eat whatever I want to eat and believe that God is responsible for “healing” me. Poor health can contribute to depression, anger, anxiety, and a host of other things, including the constant pain and inflammation of Fibromyalgia. God is under no obligation to fix these things and they should not necessarily be part of the gospel presentation. Certainly, God wants us as healthy as possible but our health is often in our own hands.
