Instead of “telescreens” as seen in George Orwell’s “1984,” our computer screens have provided access to the privacy of our lives via the Internet. What we do on our computers (or cell phones, or tablets and laptops), if connected to the Internet directly or via wi-fi is available for the government to look into.
