Emergency Interfaith Protest Against Anti-Muslim Mentality

Is it me, or do these people look as though they lack basic intelligence?

It’s funny, but not surprising that there are individuals involved in religion who believe that the big problem in America is a lack of tolerance for American Muslims.

Part of the problem stems from Pastor Terry Jones from Florida who is praying to determine if they will have a “burn the Qur’an” book session.  General Petraeus has indicated that this could bring harm to the troops overseas.  The fact that the troops are there at all brings them harm and in truth, hardcore jihadist Muslims need little to no reason to enact their violence.

The article states in part, “Prominent Christian, Jewish and Muslim leaders held an extraordinary “emergency summit” meeting in the capital on Tuesday to denounce what they called “the derision, misinformation and outright bigotry” aimed at American Muslims during the controversy over the proposed Islamic community center near ground zero.” [1]

There are a number of problems with the above paragraph.  First, I don’t see the misinformation, derision, or bigotry aimed at American Muslims.  I see people upset with the push by the Muslim community to place a mosque at Ground Zero when every Muslim in the world knows the real meaning of the mosque site so close to the site where the WTC was destroyed on 9/11.  Apparently, these particular individuals in this interfaith group have no clue.  To these people – from Jewish, Muslim, and allegedly the Christian faith – believe that there is nothing wrong with the Muslim community wanting to build a mosque right near the place that was attacked and in which over 3,000 people were sacrificed to Allah.

Second, it is not bigotry to oppose something or someone that is built on hatred, as is Islam.  Of course people disagree with that assessment, but these are people who have neither read the Qur’an or the Hadith.  They also have no real knowledge of Muhammad, his life, or his own level of bigotry and anti-Semitism.  For those not in the know, Muhammad is the founder of Islam.

The article continues with, “The meeting occurred amid growing concern by the White House, the State Department and the top American military commander in Afghanistan over plans by Terry Jones, the pastor of a small church in Florida, to burn copies of the Koran on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.” [2]

Isn’t it interesting that in this country, though it is a crime to burn the American flag, it is rarely enforced.  That’s because it is a FEDERAL, not a STATE law.

People have burned the Bible, tossed the Bible, ridiculed the Bible, falsely interpreted the Bible, and in general done whatever they have felt like doing to the Bible.  I haven’t heard of any forum or group of people being indignant about the way either the U.S. flag has been treated, or the Bible.

For some reason, Muslims are considered to be untouchable, easily offended, and hated for no reason.  I know of no one who hates Muslims, yet I know of many Muslims who hate anyone who is not Muslim.  I am considered an infidel.  Please, simply take the time to actually READ the Qur’an for yourself.  If you can’t afford one, contact Pastor Jones in Florida and maybe he’ll send you one instead of burning it.

The religious leaders in Washington said in their statement, ‘We are appalled by such disrespect for a sacred text that for centuries has shaped many of the great cultures of our world.’

“Interfaith events are not unusual, but this one was extraordinary for the urgency and passion expressed by the participants. Some of the same religious leaders later met with Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to urge him to prosecute religious hate crimes aggressively.”[3]

I’m sure Holder will have no problem complying with that request, but ask him to deal with the problem created by members of the New Black Panthers who attempted to block voting stations in Philadelphia and his non-response was something akin to, “Huh?  What New Black Panthers?  What problems?”  The multiple videos of the event probably meant nothing to him, but in fall fairness, maybe the copy of the video he viewed was not really clear…

This is interesting though, isn’t it?  People want opinions against the Ground Zero mosque to be seen as hate crimes.  This is kind of like Nancy Pelosi completely ignoring the source of funding for the Cordoba House/Ground Zero mosque, preferring to focus on the source of funding for those protesting the mosque.

Like the the members of this interfaith coalition who are appalled, I am appalled too, but not for the same reason.  I’m appalled that we have such blind leaders in Congress.  I’m appalled that there are people in this world (and in this country) who are so dense that they are unable to see the real motivation behind the Ground Zero mosque.  Instead of attempting to determine the truth of the matter (and of Islam itself), these religious leaders prefer to believe (by deliberately ignoring the facts) that Islam is peaceful and fully undeserving of the bad press it is getting by the average American who has taken the time to seek and find the truth.

These individuals who are crying for anti-Muslim attitudes to be classified as hate-crime, see the Muslim extremist as an aberration, not a norm.  In fact, it is the pacifist Muslim that is the aberration and not the norm.  The extremist (or radical, or jihadist) Muslim routinely attacks and kills the more peaceful Muslim in places like Egypt and elsewhere.

Tell that to Geert Wilders of the Netherlands, who has just had heard that a Muslim cleric in Australia has called for his beheading.  Now, why aren’t these same “prominent Jewish, Muslim, and Christian” individuals crying out against the bigotry evidenced in that situation?  Why are these same cranially-impaired individuals not spending their time screaming about the recent stoning that just took place against a woman who had only been ACCUSED of adultery.  Even if she was guilty of it, does that mean that death by stoning is the appropriate punishment?  For Sharia Law, the answer is yes.

Bleeding heart liberals, religious leaders with no conscience, brains, or ability to interpret Scripture, and average American who may have no real clue about the inner workings and real meaning behind Islam, all make for an unhealthy situation for the United States.  It means that unless things change, America is on its way to becoming the western version of the Netherlands, where Muslims have essentially taken over the country from within.

What is the matter with these religious leaders?  Do they not see the destruction caused by the religion of Islam?  Do they not understand the inherent dangers within Islam, which is the sworn enemy of all who are not Muslims?  All things point to the fact that these leaders are completely unaware, either because they choose to be, or they are so blind to the reality of Islam’s punitive measures against all who are not part of that system (and even against those who are part of Islam, but not considered to be extreme or jihadist), that their blindness causes them to see error as truth.

This type of narrow mindset goes back to before the Tower of Babel and it was created by Satan himself.  Unfortunately, these insipid religious leaders will likely never see their error, because to them, their error is truth.

In the end, the only thing that really surprises me is that not once did the article mention the names of either Jesse Jackson, or Al Sharpton.  Well, I guess we can be thankful for the small things.

I think it is pretty stupid of pastor Jones, but more ludicrous is the reaction by the appeasers you mentioned. They just don’t get it. They hate us in spite of all the good we’ve done to free Islamic people around the world. They hated us in 1993 with the first WTC bombing attempt. The U.S.S. Cole and many others. All prior to us our “anti-Muslim frenzy.”

      Hi David,

What can you expect though from the people who support the National Council of Churches? As for Jones, it’s probably not the brightest idea, but as you know, people are getting thoroughly fed up with the way Islam is shoving its way into the United States and elsewhere, through lies, deception, and violence.

The situation in The Netherlands with Geert Wilders is especially tragic, and all due to “peace-loving” Islam.
