Pakistani Christian Killed; Wife Raped for not Recanting Faith

We are hearing a great deal about how people are constantly and allegedly misunderstanding Islam. We have religious leaders in this country, getting up from their comfortable chairs, and out from behind their large desks, condemning those who would dare to speak out against a religion (Islam) that they say is completely misrepresented by “conservative evangelicals.”
The truth of the matter seems to be that it is difficult to misunderstand or misrepresent Islam in the face of so many horrors that many Muslims perpetrate against those who are not of Islam. A case in point is what appeared today on Newsvine.com, as reported by Ahmar Mustikhan.
The upshot of the situation is that a man named Arshed Masih, who had converted to Christianity, refused to recant his Christian faith in the face of threats by Sheik Mohammad Sultan, a powerful Muslim businessman in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, since 2005. Further, Masih also noted he was going to quit working for the Sultan and the Sultan became enraged, threatening to kill him if he did so.
Masih’s wife Martha, also worked for the Sultan. At one point, the Sultan filed a claim of theft from his home and Martha was charged with the crime. Both Masih and his wife were taken to the police station and questioned. After questioning them, police raped Masih’s wife and kept them both in jail. A few days later, the Sultan said he would get them out if they recanted their Christianity, which they refused to do.
At this point, the husband was taken outside the station, beaten and set on fire. While this occurred, police again raped Masih’s wife. The husband was taken to the hospital where he languished for three days before dying.
“ICC’s Regional Manager for South Asia, Jonathan Racho, said “We are outraged and deeply saddened by the murder of Masih and the rape of Martha by the police. As this case clearly indicates, Pakistani Christians are treated as less than animals by the Muslims. We urge the president of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zadari, and other high level government officials to bring the perpetrators of the attacks to justice.
“Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, president of Pakistan Christian Congress, condemned the killing of Masih and rape of his wife.“ Rape of Martha Bibi before her children by Muslim police officials and burning of her husband took place just a few miles from building of the Supreme Court of Pakistan where Muslim jusdges sitting on benches of justice have no sympathy with Christian victims. Perhaps in the eyes of these judges rape of an “infidel woman” is not a crime.” [1]
So why am I reporting this? To incite? To misrepresent? This report is simply the tip of the iceberg regarding the amount of assaults, rapes, and murders that Muslims in Islamic countries perpetrate against Christians and others who are not Muslim. The reality is that the world does not see this because the media never shows it. They prefer to present a picture of Muslims as being the underdog, the victim, when in point of fact, they are not the victim, but often the perpetrators.
This is how Muslim extremists believe they can deal with infidels (non-believers). Anything goes, because the Qur’an teaches that Allah hates those who are not Muslim.
This is becoming the reality all over the world, even in countries NOT Islamic, like The Netherlands. Women are often raped there by Muslim men when they see a woman walking without wearing a burkha. These men believe that this “crime” of not wearing a burkha allows them to punish the woman right then and there, through rape or brutalization.
Is this what you want in the United States? It is coming and unless people do something to stand against it, it will become the law of the land.
I doubt seriously that though our own president is coming out against Pastor Terry Jones’ desire to burn the Qur’an, I cannot help but wonder what, if anything he would say if crimes perpetrated by Muslims that happen in other countries began to occur here. My bet is that these crimes would be labeled anomalies.
They are not anomalies. This is the way Muslim extremists believe they can act toward non-Muslims. We need to open our eyes. There are many of these types of acts of violence being perpetrated against innocent victims daily, throughout the world.
Let me ask you…have you ever heard of Geert Wilders? Have you ever seen a news report about him on TV, or read about him in the newspaper? Have you read or seen of these types of atrocities in the mainstream media? Chances are very good that the answer to these quesetions is “no.” Why is that?
It is for a number of reasons. First, the media is probably afraid of creating a situation where people become extremely angry toward Islam because of what many Muslims are doing to non-believers. Second, I would not be surprised if the command for a nearly complete blackout of anti-Islam news has come from the top. I’m talking about the people who own and run the media in this country.
Are you hearing about the race situations in Great Britain? Have you heard or read about Muslims taking out their anger and aggression on innocent people like the 15-year old boy who was recently kidnapped, beaten, tortured and then set on fire?
If you have not heard of these things, you need to do some research. This is NOT to say that all Muslims are like this – certainly not. However, the fact that these atrocities take place at all among many Muslims in Islamic countries should be something that brings a tremendous outcry from people all over the world. Instead, we hear from religious leaders that Islam is being misrepresented. YES, it IS being misrepresented because we are NOT hearing about these things in the mainstream media!
Conservatives are not reporting what is untrue. Ex-Muslims are not simply railing on the anti-human policies of Islam for the sake of it. These things are happening throughout the world today and it is coming much closer to home here in America.
Where is all the media coverage of Cardoza-Moore who has received death threats because she is taking a stand against the mega-mosque in Murphreesboro, TN? Where is the media coverage of the Muslim cleric in Australia calling for Geert Wilders to be beheaded because he stands in opposition to Islam?
Why is it the media (and the president) spends its time painting those who oppose the mosque at Ground Zero as bigots, racists, and other things? It is simple. They do it because it is safer for them, and they likely bring in more money. It would not do to have people boycotting the media.
Let me be clear here. I am opposed to Islam because of its origins, what it stands for and what it teaches. I am NOT opposed to the Muslims who – like all of us – need the forgiveness, love, and salvation offered only through Jesus Christ!
I am opposed to Islam because of its atrocities that are committed (seemingly with relish) on a daily basis throughout the world. I am opposed to Islam because of the way it treats women and children. I am opposted to Islam because it is punitive. There is no mercy, or compassion.
I am opposed to Islam because it teaches people that blowing up or killing innocent individuals (those considered to be infidels by Islam) is something Allah approves of. I am opposed to Islam because I believe Islam lies about Jesus Christ and who He was and remains.
I am opposed to Islam because they want to take over the world. Islam does not teach tolerance. They teach that one day, Islam will rule the world. I am opposed to Islam because it wants to control not just religion, but civil, and military aspects of society.
I am opposed to Islam because I believe it to be wrong. I believe that Muslims are the ones who are not saved. Yet, in spite of that, there is nothing in the Bible that gives me permission, or encourages me to kill those who are opposed to Christianity. In fact, Jesus teaches the exact opposite – to love your enemies.
Islam is a true threat to freedom in this world. It is a threat to democracy. It is a threat to peace. Islam claims to be a religion of peace because of something that Muhammad said centuries ago that is often taken out of context. Muhammad’s entire adult life is one of war, violence, and slaughtering of those with whom he disagreed.
The only peace that comes from Islam will be when/if they rule the world. When there is no one left standing that opposes Islam, THAT is when there will be peace (according to Islam). Until then, the battle rages on and continues to take the lives of innocent people everywhere. These people are seen as sacrifices to Allah, which is why Muslim extremists have no difficulty in killing infidels. They believe Allah is pleased. They believe they gain points. They believe they are favored because of their murderous actions.
If someone broke into your home at night and intended to do you or your family harm, what would you do? Would you stand there and try to reason with them? Would you believe that criminals have gotten a bad rap, and it is due to a few “conservatives” that people believe that criminals are bad?
What would you do? Like most of us, you would probably run away from the person (if you could), and lock yourself in a bedroom. If they chose to break that door down, and if you had a gun in your home, you would probably shoot them, and legally, you would be justified in doing so because at that point, it is your life or theirs.
Today, we are being told that Islam is a religion of peace, that they do not want to hurt us, that they want to have interfaith dialogue. We are being told that we are the ones who are misunderstanding and misrepresenting Islam. It is our fault, they say, since Islam only has a peaceful agenda.
They say this in the face of the extreme amount of viciousness that takes place throughout the world daily, perpetrated by Muslim extremists. They say this in the shadow of the empty space at Ground Zero, where towers once stood with upwards of 3,000 people in them – most dead, sacrificed to Allah. They tell us that we need to change our tune, in spite of the fact that people in this country are now receiving death threats for opposing Islam.
We are being told that our misrepresentation and misunderstanding of Islam will lead to greater conflict, yet we know that it takes little to nothing for many of these Muslim extremists to choose to kill. We are NOT misunderstanding the fact that Muslim extremists can and DO kill those who are not Muslim, simply because they are NOT Muslim. There is no misunderstanding there at all.
While many Muslims are not out there wielding swords, or have bombs strapped to them, the REST of the world does NOT know who IS and who is NOT a Muslim extremist simply by looking at them. It is unfortunate that this is the case, but because the atrocities commited by Muslims seem to becoming the norm, it makes it doubly difficult to see Muslims as peaceful.
The reality is that Muslim extremists play by different rules entirely. They are no different than gang-bangers, who also have their own rules, their own illegal weapons, their own code of conduct, and their own lack of value on life. To the gang-banger, it is kill or be killed. Anyone who is not in their gang is a potential enemy.
To the Muslim extremist who looks to the Qur’an and to Allah, the rules that the rest of the civilized world plays by makes absolutely no difference to them. The world’s rules mean nothing to them, and they have proven this repeatedly.
How long do we wait for Muslim extremists to begin playing by the world’s rules? How long do we think it will take for these Muslim extremists to see any value at all in human life? As they are, this cannot happen. They are not interested in our opinions, values, or rules. They are interested only in pleasing Allah.
The sooner the world learns what that means, the sooner we will all realize that we are in a war, whether we like it or not. It is a war unto death for many throughout the world, and only one side will win. By doing nothing, you side with Islam whether you think so or not.
Stand up for freedom. Stand up for democracy. Stand up for the gospel of Jesus Christ that needs to be presented to these Muslims who believe hatred, anger, and violence is the only way to heavenly paradise.
