Update from Larry at Test All Things…

I went over to Larry’s blog and of course, he had deleted my comments from the last time I was over there.  The only comment he left was the original one in which he squares off against it to tell me I’m a heretic.

At any rate, I left the following post, which I’m assuming will be gone before the day is out.  If you’d care to check out Larry’s blog and post a comment yourself, you can do so by going here:  http://testallthings.com/2007/03/20/how-the-pre-tribulation-rapture-denies-the-gospel/

I seriously doubt that your comments will do any good (unless of course, they happen to agree with Larry’s position), but it’s always worth a try.  I don’t like to debate these things and have written a book on that very subject (Apologetics Never Saved Anyone).  However, I WILL step into the debate when the debate involves my salvation.

Hi again, Larry.

“So you are aware, my article has been published on my blog – a place that you cannot delete anything.  It has also been published in a newsletter from Prophezine.com.

“Beyond this, it is going in my next book.

“Here is the reality:  I do not mind if people disagree about my Eschatological beliefs.  I can live with that.  What I cannot nor will not live with is some yahoo telling me that I’m a heretic because of THEIR misguided and faulty exegesis of Scripture.

“Your judgmental attitude will be your downfall and if you were truly interested in the truth, you would have left my responses up, but it is obvious that you cannot handle the truth.  Your mind is made up and that’s that.  Closed minds are dead minds.

“In truth Larry, you have added an ADDITIONAL requirement to the gospel.  In order for me to be saved (according to you), I must not only believe that Jesus is Lord and that He was raised from the dead, but I must also have the “correct” Eschatological viewpoint, something that has NEVER been part of the salvation package.

“Long before I ever believed that the Bible teaches a PreTrib Rapture position, I believed Jesus was and remains Lord and that He rose from the dead.

“But according to you, that is not good enough.  Fortunately, you are not God, so you should stop trying to be.
