Should Eric Holder Be Fired?

A question at least as good is should he have ever been appointed to such an enormously important job in the first place?
ACT for America believes that there are good reasons to kick Holder to the unemployment line. I agree. The fact that he makes comments like “my people” when referring to African-Americans is an absolute betrayal to all Americans who are not African-American, including Latino, Asian, Hispanic, and White, to name a few. It is unconscionable that an individual like Eric Holder holds a position of such authority when it is clear that he is using it for his own personal agenda.
Here are the reasons from ACT for America in their own words:
Eric Holder Should Be Fired:
- Closing Gitmo: One of the first acts of the Obama Administration was the decision to close the military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay by a date certain (one year) without first devising a strategy for what to do with the enemy combatants detained there. What followed was an embarrassing situation where the date certain came and went without the US Government taking decisive action. The reality is that the men detained at Gitmo are enemy combatants captured on the battlefield or in the act of committing terrorism against the United States. To save face, the Administration, with Attorney General Holder at the helm, began the process to move these enemy combatants to the United States to stand trial in civilian courts, thus treating their acts of terrorism like ordinary civilian crimes. This action would have given terrorists, sworn to destroy our Constitutional protected way of life, the same Constitutional rights as US citizens, a position rejected by the vast majority of Americans.
- Trying Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) in civilian court: Attorney General Holder made the public and orchestrated decision to try 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed in a Manhattan civilian court, even though justice would have been carried out swifter, cheaper and safer in the military commission. As a reminder, KSM had already publicly stated he would plead guilty in a military commission. Despite this offer and despite the outpouring of national opposition to his move, Attorney General Holder continued down the path of trying KSM in civilian court. Such a trial would have cost New York City an estimated $1 Billion for security; would have made the civilian jury members targets for assassination; would have given KSM a world stage to declare ‘Jihad’ to a world wide audience; and would have rendered numerous pieces of evidence against KSM inadmissible in court due to national security concerns.
- Failure to prosecute the Black Panther Party for voter intimidation: The Department of Justice, under the leadership of Attorney General Holder gave a directive not to prosecute cases of voter intimidation against the Black Panther Party even when such instances were captured on videotape. The bedrock of the American way of life is the fact that we hold free and fair elections. To decide not to prosecute was tantamount to undermining our Constitutional right to vote.
- Refusing to identify our enemy: The Department of Justice, under Attorney General Holder, bowed to political correctness and literally changed the lexicon (language) they use when discussing acts of terrorism. The DOJ no longer uses the terms “jihad,” “jihadist,” “radical Islam” or any other word that could remotely link acts of homegrown terrorism to the radical ideology that connects them all. - Blocking terror finance indictments against Islamic Groups in Texas: And finally the recent allegations leveled by whistleblowers at the DOJ, claiming that Attorney General Holder’s DOJ ordered the halting of indictments being issued to several national Islamic organizations with ties to the Obama White House.
