Natural Born Citizen of the United States?

We are all aware of the fact that people have been arguing over the “natural-born citizen” issue inherent in the U.S. Constitution, specifically as it seems to continue to be central to the Obama situation.

Interestingly enough, a few things have come to light suggesting that there was – at the very least – a concerted effort to remove or change the meaning of “natural-born citizen” from requirements to become president of the United States. This really should not come as a shock to anyone. Socialists will do whatever it takes to ram their policies down the throats of people who seem willing enough to go along with them (or not).

A report a “Vision to America” states that a number of key people over the year, as far back as 2003, have tried to eradicate this language from the Constitution.

June 11, 2003, Rep. Vic Snyder, D-Ark., brought HJR 59. It was intended to “permit persons who are not natural born citizens of the United States, but who have been citizens of the United States for at least 35 years, to be eligible to hold the offices of president and vice president.”
Sept. 3, 2003, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., brought HJR67, which would have done the same as Snyder’s, only the requirement to be a citizen was lowered to 20 years.
Feb. 25, 2004, Sen. Don Nickles, R-Okla., brought S.B. 2128 to “try to counter the growing Democrat onslaught aimed at removing the natural born citizen requirement.” But it defined NBC as someone who was born in and is subject to the United States,” which was not the understanding of the framers of the Constitution.
Sept. 15, 2004, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., brought HJR 104, “to make eligible for the office of president a person who is not a natural born citizen of the United States but has been a United States citizen for at least 20 years.
Jan. 4, 2005, Conyers, D-Mich., HJR2, the same as Rohrabacher’s.
Feb. 1, 2005, HJR15, Rohrabacher, to require only 20 years citizenship to be eligible for the office of president.
April 14, 2005, Snyder, HJR42, requiring 35 years’ citizenship.
Feb. 28, 2008, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., tried to attach to SB 2678, Children of Military Families Natural Born Citizen Act, an amendment clarifying what “natural-born citizen” includes. Obama and then-Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., were sponsors.” [1; emphasis added]

I find that fascinating, don’t you, especially the bolded section of last bullet. Note that both Obama and Clinton were sponsors of the bill. It is clear then that Mr. Obama certainly knew of the potential difficulty he would have in becoming the president of the United States, so much so, that he co-sponsored a bill while in Congress that would make it easier for him to become president.

You know, it’s tragic, but the more you learn about our politicians, you find that for the most part, they are completely self-serving. They really don’t care about the people of this country. They are far more concerned with remaining on the public doles. Like glorified welfare recipients, they do what they can to remain in the political arena, trading favors with others in order to guarantee their own success.

After all, who would really want to go back to the private sector and have to work for a living? As politicians, people can continue to have all those meetings, learn how to work the system for their own gain, and essentially lie to the American people by learning how to spin it so that the lies seem like truth. One sure way to do this is to ensure that while holding a press conference, or delivering a speech, a preponderance of supporters are in the audience. They won’t care what you say. They’ll just applaud every time you pause at the end of a sentence or to take a breath. Like dutiful puppets, they will respond with shouts of “that’s right!” or other accolades that are designed to override anyone with doubts.

It is absolutely sickening to watch what our government does. Just recently, we learned that against Federal law, Mr. Obama provided a grant to ACORN, you know, the group that “allegedly” has ties to terrorism.

“Obama’s Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) gave a $79,819 grant to the largest branch of the ACORN tree, ACORN Housing Corp. (AHC). AHC filed papers last year legally changing its name to Affordable Housing Centers of America (AHCOA). It’s the same old organization with a brand new ACORN-free name.” [2]

I guess Mr. Obama can continue to play dumb. Both he and Eric Holder are really good at that, all the while pushing their own agendas to bring down the U.S. In Holder’s case, he has now decided he will focus on the CIA, since terrorists in their care died. My heart bleeds.

In truth, both Mr. Obama and Mr. Holder should be impeached. They both have done serious wrongs that have affected the way this country does business under the Constitution. I have a feeling though that because so many conservatives are afraid of being called “racist,” impeachment proceedings will not happen. That is more than tragic when someone cannot be held responsible for their actions simply because of their ethnicity.

Bill Clinton went through impeachment proceedings. George W. was hit with calls for impeachment. Other past presidents have endured the process, yet when it comes to the first black president, all of a sudden it’s “hands off because he’s black.” That makes no sense.

Of course the left would cry “racism!” and I’m sure people like Chris Matthews and Jon Stewart would be leading the way, but they cry racism every time a conservative critiques the president. We cannot be held at bay because of the fear of being called something we are not.

The agenda of the left is pretty clear. What we need are groups of staunch conservatives who are not cowered by name-calling. Though I think that when Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska, she also threw away her chances of becoming president, look what she has put up with from the left? They are absolutely PETRIFIED of this woman and for good reason!

When the left has nothing of substance to say, they resort to name-calling. This is simply what they do, but it’s going to take a strong group of people who are immune to it to overcome the rants of the left.

What I said in my last post still stands. We need either the same president with a brand new heart, or a new president with a heart for Israel. Beginning today, I have signed on with a number of organizations in America who fully support Israel. I am going to make my voice heard and if people hate me for it, that’s just too bad.

Israel needs to be supported. We need a president who is more concerned about supporting and aligning this country with Israel, than the current one who seems to be far more concerned about skirting the law.

I am going to be ramming this message home because it is an important message. It is a message that we would do well to heed. God will not be mocked. Those who put everything else ahead of supporting Israel will find themselves on the outs with God. While we spend most of our time being concerned with our own needs, we cannot ignore the most important thing God has done; created Israel.

If not for Israel, there would have been no Savior. Need I say more? As Paul says, we owe a debt of gratitude to the nation of Israel. “Yes, they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things,” (Romans 15:27). Romans 9 – 11 are filled with reminders about how God has used the nation of Israel to benefit Gentiles. We need to read these chapters and be reminded that we do owe Israel a debt that we ourselves cannot repay.

Replacement theology has misplaced the meaning of Scripture by telling us that the Church has replaced Israel. “Because of false teaching, and erroneous replacement theology, many Christians do not realize that certain “Old testament” covenants still remain in effect for Israel, namely: the Abrahamic land covenant (Genesis 12: 1-3), the Davidic throne covenant for Messiah (2 Samuel 7: 11-16), and the New Covenant for the House of Israel(Jeremiah 31: 31-36), into which the majority have not yet entered.” [3]

You can and should get involved. Here are a number of organizations that will keep you abreast of the difficulties that Israel continues to face. It is heartwarming to know that there are organizations within the U.S. who are that concerned about Israel; the nation and the people.

Some of these organizations simply support Israel, but are not necessarily concerned about their spiritual health. Other organizations support both, while some organizations are concerned mainly with their spiritual regeneration.

As far as I can tell, these two issues are separate. All Christians should support Israel, the nation, and her right to exist. At the same time, we should also support those missionaries who have been called to Israel to minister to Jews.

When God gave His promises to Abraham in Genesis 12, 15, and 17, God did not stipulate that people should only bless Israel IF they were faithfully following God. The promise was (and remains) simple: “I will bless those who bless you and the one who curses you I will curse,” (Genesis 12:3). That is very straightforward. In other words, we do not get the option of supporting (blessing) Israel only when they are faithfully following God. That is not part of the picture. God will bless those who bless Abraham and the nation that came from his loins. God will also curse those who curse Abraham and the nation that came from his loins.

The only nation that God ever created was Israel. Do you understand the ramifications of that? Yes, Ishmael was a son of Abraham, but not the promised son. That was Isaac. Yes, Ishmael became a huge ethnic culture we call Arabs, however, Arabs are not – by themselves – a nation. God merely blessed Ishmael (if you can call it that) with great numbers.

Israel deliberately made a nation of people. This nation literally began with Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abraham. From Jacob, God brought forth the 12 patriarchs, and from these twelve men, the tribes of Israel were born. This is biblical fact.

The detail that God reveals to us about how He created Israel is astounding and in spite of Satan’s best efforts, Israel could not be destroyed and remains to this day.

This is the message that all Christians need to hear and pass along, both in word, in prayer, and in deed: We must support Israel because in doing so, we are supporting God and His plans.

I believe the book of Ezekiel is entirely clear about what God is now doing with Israel. He has brought them out from all the nations, gathered them in unbelief, and is going to have it out with them. That is HIS business. Our job is to support Israel in spite of the ever-increasing odds in a world that is becoming more evil every day.

Do you want to see the United States once again come under God’s favor and blessing, instead of His curse? Then we must have a president who supports Israel. This cannot be questioned. The United States must support the right of Israel to exist and we need to stop making excuses for the evil of the Arab nations that surround her. Moreover, we must stand with God, not against Him. He and He alone with purge Israel of the rebels, refining them until only the Remnant exists.

We must pray for peace in the Middle East. We must pray that Jerusalem remains one entity, not divided up as Mr. Obama and others want to see it. That Land is GOD’s Land and how dare anyone decide to play God with it!

If you want to see the United States come under the blessing of God once again, then we must begin to change our outlook, understanding that God and God alone has a remaining purpose for Israel. We need to support Mr. Netanyahu and pray that not only will God work through that man, but that he will eventually come to the know the Lord as Savior.

If you want to see God’s spiritual blessing in your own life, then you must support Israel. There is no question from God’s Word that supporting Israel is not an option for those who love the Lord. It should not even be open to discussion. You either support Israel or you do not. Sitting on the fence means you do not.

If this nation supported Israel, would we have a president like Mr. Obama? Would we be dealing with the issue of whether or not he was even legally allowed to be the president? Would we be worrying about what illegal action he is going to try to pull next? I don’t believe we would, so we have only ourselves to blame for the fact that we have a godless president in office.

God is desperately trying to get our attention! We need to wake up to the fact that Israel is HIS nation and He has given us the option of supporting them or not. He has also clearly told us how He will curse or bless us.

It seems to me that God has drawn the line in the sand where Israel is concerned. The only question you need to ask yourself is which side of the line are you on?
