The Left and their Lies…

I’ve heard this phrase constantly: “FOX LIES!”

Apparently, if those on the Left believe that shouting out something like this equals truth, then that’s what they do. Interestingly enough though, while they are accusing FOX News of lying (as a matter of course), they seem unable to show concern for the actual fact that there are media bureaus on the Left that lie routinely.

Does FOX News lie? The stories that I have personally checked that have been broadcast on the network have checked out. Does this mean they never stretch the truth? I’m sure they stretch the truth from time to time, especially if it’s a show like O’Reilly or Hannity. These guys are not so much news anchors, but political pundits and stretching the truth seems to go with the territory. This is why they have people with opposing viewpoints on their shows who discuss various aspects of a talking point. The end result is that the viewer needs to decide whether or not what they are hearing is truth or bluster.

But we also know that MSNBC and/or NBC have been caught in lies and huge gaffes. The problem is that those on the Left seem not to care. They don’t care because it feeds into their personal viewpoint. They would rather promote the idea that only those on the right are the consummate liars and need to be silenced.

Florida Family Association continues to come under fire because of their viewpoint. They are routinely attacked and roundly condemned by those on the Left because of their alleged “fear-mongering,” “racist attitudes,” and more. So why does FFA come under all of this fire? Does the Left have an authentic reason for villainizing this group, or is it all hogwash?

I know that people like Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, and others have been caught in actual lies. MSNBC and NBC have also been caught in lies, several of them having to do with George Zimmerman’s situation regarding the shooting of Trayvon Martin. Because of this, Zimmerman’s lawyers have filed a defamation of character suit. If it is proven that NBC did in fact, deliberately lie, then it also tells us that many of the mainstream media bureaus know nothing of unbiased reporting.

The people who report the “news” have the ability to change video, audio, or both in order to create a story that tells what they want told, not what actually happens. This is the bias that exists within the mainstream media and this is why it is important to do your own research through as many sources as possible – both left and right, conservative and liberal. Eventually, you will get to the truth, if you are willing to take the time. Aside from that, if your news is gleaned as a steady diet of bias, you learn to believe what you listen to.

Some of these comments are not necessarily straight-out lies, but libelous nonetheless, since commentators are providing their opinion based on nothing but how they feel. Their obvious intention is to defame.

Many within the media are actively engaged in creating falsehoods that people will come to believe. These bureaus are not interested in simply presenting news in an unbiased fashion. They are involved in being a change-agent in the American subconscious in order to effect change throughout society. They’ve been doing this for years and looking back, it was clearly noticeable during the time leading up to the 2008 election. It is still happening now, post first presidential debate. The problem is that most intelligent people see it for what it is and reject it because it has become way too obvious to swallow.

Earlier, Andrea Mitchell took issue with John Sununu’s depiction of Mr. Obama as “lazy” and told him to “take it back.” [1] This was in spite of the fact that he pointed out that Obama seemed completely unprepared for the debate. Mitchell was “shocked,” but I seriously doubt she would have been shocked had the comment been directed toward Bush or some other Republican president. The mainstream media has been fawning over Mr. Obama since before the 2008 election and shows no signs of stopping. It seems clear enough that they come from the Left and are absolutely uninterested in presenting news that even remotely smacks of being unbiased.

The overwhelming majority of the 3,600 advertisers that Florida Family Association has communicated with during the past twenty-four years do not advertise during sitcoms that disparage Christianity even though the content of sitcoms is not intended to be taken seriously. So why would these companies advertise on a news network, which is intended to be taken seriously, that routinely denigrates Christianity, distorts the truth and advocates for Islamists?

Any conservative media commentator would have been fired immediately if they had made this comparison regarding any leftist politically correct organization.

MSNBC edits video of black man carrying gun to make healthcare protestors look like racists saying “white people are showing up with guns strapped to their waists.”

August 2009.

MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer filed a report on August 18, 2009 about healthcare protestors showing up to a rally armed. In it she used the video tape of the same black man shown in the above video with a rifle and said this “And the reason why we’re talking about this is because a lot of people feel like yes there are second amendment rights for sure but there are also issues about whether this has racial overtones. I mean here you have a man of color in the presidency and white people showing up with guns strapped to their waists.” MSNBC deliberately edited the video tape to hide the fact that the person carrying the gun was NOT white, but was BLACK. Fox News’ Greg Gutfield concludes “So why did MSNBC go way out of its way to obliterate the race of Chris? Because it didn’t fit the story MSNBC wanted to tell, that if you disagree with Obama you must be a white crazy person with guns.”

Newsbuster.org reported on October 16, 2009: During the 3:00PM ET hour of live coverage on MSNBC Friday, co-host David Shuster admitted that racially charged quotes he and other hosts attributed to Rush Limbaugh had not been verified: “MSNBC attributed that quote to a football player who was opposed to Limbaugh’s NFL bid. However, we have been unable to verify that quote independently. So, just to clarify.” Shuster did not formally retract the quote or apologize.
