The Left Continues to Show Their Bias

It’s really to the point of being absolutely appalling, yet it continues. I’m going to assume it continues because viewers and readers of leftwing, liberal news bureaus and print publications like what they see because they are leftwing liberals themselves. They don’t want truth. They simply want more handouts and retaining Mr. Obama for another four years is the best way for that to happen, as opposed to presenting him with his pink slip this November 6th.

Whether it’s MSNBC deliberately doctoring another video trying to show that Mitt Romney is not as popular as his running mate, Paul Ryan (as was done recently on the “Morning Joe” show), or whether it’s the Obama fan base coming out of the woodwork with death threats against Mitt Romney after this most recent debate, the crux of the problem lies in the fact that it seems that the Left cannot stoop low enough. They’re not really doing themselves a favor because everything has become so terribly obvious to the thinking person.

It is obviously the way they have chosen to play the game at this point, but when you read a headline that essentially calls out Ann Romney for wearing a dress valued just over $1600, it becomes very suspect. Yes, they also mentioned that Michelle Obama wore a dress to the same debate that cost over $1700, but that wasn’t the headline. Romney’s dress made the headline. Truth be told, Romney’s dress was likely paid for with her own money, whereas Mrs. Obama’s dress may not have been. In the end, it’s all just fodder from the Left, trying to reach as far back as possible to show that the Romney’s are out of touch because they are wealthy.

What boggles my mind a bit is that Romney is left of center, just as Obama is left of center. Certainly, Obama appears to be far more left of center than Romney, but they are both left of center. Neither is a dyed-in-the-wool authentic conservative. Yet, to hear the Left tell it, Romney would be a terrible president because of his conservatism.

I think by now, people understand that during the most recent debate, Mr. Obama lied and he lied often. Those who continue to support him believe otherwise, but those people seem to have no real grip on reality anyway. They simply want Mr. Obama to win for a second term. My suspicion is that these people have gotten used to the handouts. Of course, the argument is that if Romney is elected, he will take away Food Stamps. He’ll do this by actually creating JOBS, something Mr. Obama has not done. People who work for a living no longer need Food Stamps and I believe there are many people who receive Food Stamps who would actually prefer to be gainfully employed.

According to numerous polls, Romney is beating Obama by at least five points. In other polls, he is up by even more and word is that Romney is winning the states that Mr. Obama won handily in 2008. The Left is appalled and angry. They can’t believe their candidate is being seen for what he is – a consummate liar.

It is becoming very obvious to those who can see what is going on here. The house of cards is falling. Even some Democrats are turning against Mr. Obama as seen in Diane Feinstein’s most recent comments regarding the 9/11 Benghazi attacks. [1]

So we have a man in the Oval Office that we know little about. We have yet to see his college transcripts. We recently learned that he has been wearing a ring dedicated to Allah for at least 30 years. What Christian wears a ring to a pagan deity? No authentic Christian of whom I am aware.

Just as importantly, we have a man in the Oval Office who in 2008 said what he needed to say to get elected. He is still saying what he needs to say to be re-elected, but the problem is – and it is a very big problem – that his record speaks volumes. He can’t explain it away, as often as he tries to blame things on George Bush.

When Mr. Obama took office, he had a House and Senate that were majority Democratic. The GOP was not even an issue, yet all we have heard is that the things he has tried to do he has not been able to do because of the GOP. When both the House and Senate had Democratic majorities, he got what he wanted, including Obamacare. There were promises he made to the American people that he said he would take care of in his first year as president. He failed miserably and didn’t even attempt to uphold his end of the bargain that he had made with Americans.

Since Mr. Obama has taken office, we have seen an increase in the influx of Muslims to this country. There is nothing necessarily wrong with that because this country is composed of immigrants from many countries throughout the world. However, it is very clear that Muslims have been and continue to receive special treatment and I have more than a sneaking suspicion that it is due to the fact that Mr. Obama at the very least is sympathetic (as he has stated) to Muslims.

I recently read of a teacher in Virginia public schools by the name of Tara Harris who is apparently a practicing Muslim and who prays five times a day in her classroom. She also teaches her children about Islam and forces them to participate by having them learn Islamic hand signals. She was recently charged with simple assault because in her frustration, she yanked on a child’s hand which was then caught on part of the desk, causing a tear and bleeding. Aside from the simple assault charge, nothing has happened to the teacher. She has not been disciplined or fired.

Yet, a church wants to provide meals for a football team and it is declared unconstitutional. What is the problem here? A Muslim teacher can pray five times daily in her classroom, teach her students about Islam telling them that it is far superior to all other religions, become frustrated with students who don’t or can’t cooperate with her so that they are assaulted and aside from being charged with a misdemeanor, nothing happens? There are way too many examples of this happening throughout America today and I chalk it up to the fact that we have in the Oval Office someone whose sympathies at the very least go out to Islam, but to no one else.

This country was founded upon biblical principles. I don’t believe – as many do today – that this country was in covenant with God, but I do believe that the principles found throughout the Bible were employed in creating the documents that gave this nation its start. That is undeniable, yet we have a president who stands up and essentially denies this.

The Left has a lot to lose if Mr. Obama loses this next election. For one thing, they will no longer be able to play the race card as they have continued to do. That is their greatest weapon. I’m frankly surprised it wasn’t used somehow by someone asking a question at the most recent debate. Maybe people are waking up more than I am giving them credit.

While Mr. Obama has more than doubled the national deficit, the leftwing media does what it can to deride those who see it that way. What is their game? Obviously, they are in collusion with those who want to see America brought to her knees.

Just yesterday, we learned of another Muslim who had plans to blow up the Federal Reserve. He was caught by the FBI. Nothing from the White House. Even Mr. Obama likely believes that anything he says to mitigate the damage to Islam would be seen for what it is to the rest of America. These types of acts of terror will likely increase as time goes on, especially if we continue to have a man in the Oval Office who wants to downplay these acts perpetrated by Muslims.

We know that since Mr. Obama took office, more of this country has become burdened by judges who practice Sharia law. [2] This should not be, yet at the same time, we have liberal pundits like Chris Matthews comparing Paul Ryan’s views on abortion as Sharia law. [3] They’ll talk about Sharia law when it suits them, but most of the time, they act as if it does not exist and is certainly not a threat in the United States.

The Left is apparently losing any semblance of intelligence and insight. They know they are on the losing end of a proposition, so they are doing anything they can to negate Romney’s lead.

I’m not saying Romney is going to be the best president. As I stated, I know he is also left of center. However, Romney has made some promises that he will have to act on or his term will be a one-term presidency. He has said he will repeal Obamacare. He has said he will get a balanced budget. He has said he will reduce taxes on the Middle Class.

We know what Mr. Obama’s promises were and what his record is now. It’s clear and he cannot run from it. It stands for all to see and no matter how many platitudes he throws at people and no matter how good he comes across as a speaker, the truth is that he has failed and he has failed miserably. It’s time to give someone else a chance to do what Mr. Obama was either unable or unwilling to do. Will Mitt Romney succeed? I am, of course, not sure. One thing we do know – based on the open mic when Mr. Obama spoke with Medvedev – is that if he is re-elected, he will go much further left than he is now. I’m sure that’s a promise he plans on keeping if re-elected.

Here’s what I see though. I see a man in the Oval Office who is really tired of the job. He knows in his heart he has lied repeatedly and continues to lie about things like Libya and the economy. He’s probably tired of putting up the facade.

More than a few people are seeing the collapse of Obama. “The facts are weighing him down.” [4] He has become someone who is seen as a liar. Even Piers Morgan recently stated that Romney may be the man who can save this country (my paraphrase). As I stated, the house of cards is collapsing and I would not be surprised if Mr. Obama is actually celebrating that event. From everything I’ve read, he spends more time on the golf course, or watching sports on his big screen TV on the second floor of the White House than in doing anything that helps this country move forward (in spite of his catchphrase).

As far back as July of this year, Mr. Obama had not met with his own jobs council for six months prior to that. This is the council that he put together. He has been too busy running for re-election. Here are some facts that I believe paint a fluid picture of Mr. Obama’s interest in running the affairs of this country. Since he filed paperwork for his re-election on April 4, 2011, Mr. Obama has done the following (as of August 13, 2012):

participated in 200 campaign fund-raising events
played 45 rounds of golf
one meeting with his jobs council – January, 2012

Of course, we know that even the day after the attacks that left four American ambassadors dead in the Middle East on 9/11, Mr. Obama jetted off to Las Vegas for another fund-raising event. In fact, just two days after this tragedy, Hillary Clinton was hosting a Ramadan dinner for Libyans. [5] Obviously, this administration knows how to party…and vacation.

The choice seems clear to me, even though the difference between the two candidates is not all that great, though the Left wants to paint another picture entirely. They lie routinely, so it shouldn’t surprise us.

So what do we do? Well, it’s clear. If you want another four years that are at least as bad as the previous four, then you must vote for Obama. If you want a change that may positively affect our economy, provide jobs, and lower taxes, then you should vote for Romney. I think it’s time for a change because Mr. Obama has shown us what he can do.

The most tragic thing of all is that the Left is being seen with all their biases perfectly intact. In the end, whether they realize it or not, they are likely the best cheerleaders for Romney because of how far they are willing to go to prove their loyalty to Obama even when over 70% of Americans see the lies and reject them.
