Did You Know You’re Too “Small-Minded” to Govern Your Own Affairs?

istock_000011800528smallI saw an article on Freedom Outpost today that threw me for a bit of a loop. In it, the author (Leon Puissegur) quotes President Obama as having said the following.

Ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs.”

Those who support Mr. Obama will say that quote is taken completely out of context. I’ve included the short video where President Obama makes that statement and a few others in the excerpted video (below). I’ve also linked to the original and complete video that includes the above quote as well as the entire speech from Mr. Obama that he gave just a few weeks ago in his keynote speech while at Brussels.

…and for the international order that we have worked for generations to build. Ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs. Order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign.”

Here is the video with the entire speech – just over 36-minutes in length.

What should concern most Americans is the fact that President Obama spoke of an “international order” that has been in the works for decades. He also spoke of the need for individuals to “surrender our rights to an all-powerful sovereign.” For Americans, these remarks immediately call to mind the dictates of tyrannical dictatorships and form huge red flags. We know what others like Rockefeller, Kissinger, both George Bushes, and too many others to list here, have also called for an international order, or a new world order.

For a president of the United States to make these statements is not only beyond the pale, but tells us exactly where his true loyalties lie and they are not with “we, the people.” His loyalties lie with those in the shadow government, the puppet masters, the ones in charge of bringing every viable national economy to its knees and right now, America is on the chopping block.

The idea that individuals must surrender their rights to some sovereign (deity? state?) is what the future is built on for the globalists who have been attacking culture and destroying economies of many nations, including that of the United States. They are looking toward the day when they will live in a world of two levels. The upper level (where they will live and move) is pure capitalism, unfettered by the trade sanctions and tariffs that are so often part of societies today throughout the world. If the globalists get their way, they will have a world where only one financial system exists and they will rule it and make all the rules. The lower level will consist of the rest of the people who are neither globalists or those not immediately important to them and that level will be governed by socialism.

Everyone in that lower level will “enjoy” the benefits – or should I say “scraps”? – of a true redistribution of wealth. Of course, the “wealth” that is distributed will not take one dime (or even a penny) away from the globalists. Their extreme wealth will have been fully protected throughout the coming societal change. It’s what’s left over or what they feel comfortable about providing to the masses that the rest of us will share.

Thinking of a dystopic society is not pleasant at all. It usually conjures up images of destroyed cities, homeless people by the scores, violence and crime and never knowing where your next meal is coming from as one day passes into the next. It is like the worst third world country you can imagine and then some. When countries implode due to the collapse of their economies, society quickly devolves into something so ugly, so terrible, that nothing can really help. The attitude that takes over is every person for him/herself. Laws mean nothing. It’s all based on who can survive and it doesn’t matter how they survive. Anyone familiar with the Judge Dredd universe understands what this means.

I’ve long thought that the future that is described in many so-called comic books, graphic novels, and Sci-Fi books is based on what the Scriptures tells us will be a reality prior to the physical return of Jesus. Unfortunately, I also believe that the comic books, graphic novels, books, and movies don’t go far enough and I’m not sure the creators of these things can see just how bad it will actually be.

But here we have the president of the greatest country in the world speaking openly about people surrendering their individual rights in order to form a global collective so that global society can be ruled by people who are not considered “ordinary.” Who are these anything-but-ordinary people?

They are none other than the globalists who have gotten rich off of one nation after another, who have directed the affairs of men, and who manipulated the wealth and resources of the world to gain as much power over the world as possible.

It would seem as though – with President Obama’s recent statements to his audience in Brussels – that the men behind the curtain have gotten to a point where they firmly believe it is time to show the world their identity. At the very least, they seem secure enough to believe that they can pull back the curtain little by little without fear of any sort of real reprisal.

This world is moving toward a future designed by Satan, brought to fruition through the globalists he has chosen, and allowed by God. It’s not going to pretty and it is going to happen. The only thing that will never change and will continue to be available is salvation in Jesus. Everything else is up for grabs.

I am not a democrat. I used to vote republican, but since Bush Jr. I realized both parties have the same agenda. I am a Christian. That being said, I listened to the full speech and unless they have doctored the video you are taking what he said about small mindedness out of context. In context he was clearly describing USSR’s philosophy. Please do not twist and spin lies. I understand that he does other than he says and that his actions are to destroy this country economically and religiously but the end never justifies the means. You will stand before God and give account. Because you misled you have caused people to get distracted by your deception rather than the more critical issue raised: that this one world givernment movement has been in the works for generations.

      Hi Roy,

Thanks for stopping by. Do you really think I was trying to deliberately deceive people? Had I been intent on doing that, I never would have included the video of Mr. Obama’s entire speech. I would have only included the small portion. You have accused me of deliberately deceiving people and I supposed when you stand before God, you’ll have to answer for that judgmental accusation.

I have written well over 1200 articles just on this blog alone. Beyond that, I have written 34 books and many other articles on a number of other blog and news sites. Yet, you read one article and judged me based on it. Then you have the audacity to point out that I will stand before God and give account. Yes, we ALL will, Roy, including you.

I disagree with you by the way, on what President Obama is “clearly” commenting on (e.g. USSR’s philosophy). With Mr. Obama, there is always either double talk or speaking in such broad terms that he can’t be pinned down. I’m sorry you are unable to see that.

I just saw the entire 36 minute speech and the audio shown here was clipped together from different parts of the speech (also why the video cut to the audience because the audio didn’t match). Also, the beginning of the statement “ordinary people…” is only part of the sentence. The beginning is ” …an older, more traditional view of power. This alternative view of power argues that…” So whoever provided this clip INTENTIONALLY altered it to make it seem that he said the opposite of what was actually said. So my question is why would you trust this source?

Here is the complete section of President Obama’s words to the gathered group in Brussels that contains the comments I’ve referred to:

“We meet here at a moment of testing for Europe and the United States. And for the international order that we have worked for generations to build.
Throughout human history, societies have grappled with fundamental questions of how to organize themselves.
The proper relationship between the individual and the state.
The best means to resolve inevitable conflicts between states.
And it was here in Europe through centuries of struggle, through war and enlightenment, repression and revolution that a particular set of ideals began to emerge.
The belief that, through conscience and free will each of us has the right to live as we choose.
The belief that power is derived from the consent of government and that laws and institutions should be established that protect that understanding.
And those ideas eventually inspired a band of colonialists across an ocean and they wrote them into the founding documents that still guide America today.
Including the simple truth that all men and women are created equal.
But those ideals have also been tested here in Europe and around the world.
Those ideals have often been threatened by an older, more traditional view of power.
This alternative vision argues that ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs.
That order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign
      .”

The smaller video clip OBVIOUSLY contained only a brief snippet of Mr. Obama’s overall remarks. But that’s why I also deliberately included the longer, more complete video. Had I been trying to deceive, I would have ONLY included the shorter video, wouldn’t I?

You are correct – at least on the surface – that the shorter video provides one view while the longer video provides additional information concerning President Obama’s words.

But let me ask you a question: if Mr. Obama truly means what he says – about his seeming disagreement with those who say that “ordinary individuals are too small-minded to govern their own affairs,” why do his ACTIONS seem to agree with this statement? In other words, you argue that his words taken out of context provide an alternate statement of something he’s not really saying. Yet, his actions (including all of his EOs) actually do agree with the shorter version.

In spite of what he says, everything Mr. Obama DOES seems to agree with a belief that ordinary people ARE too small-minded to govern their own affairs. Everything President Obama and his administration have done and continue to do chip away at the average citizen’s rights here in America. He constantly places the concerns of illegal aliens above the unemployed here in America. His administration under the EPA is going to do what it can to close coal mines, putting thousands of coal miners out of jobs and increasing energy costs. He doesn’t care how many are out of jobs or out of insurance because of Obamacare. He doesn’t care that the 2nd Amendment exists and would like to eradicate it. At every opportunity, he inserts race into the subject. Whenever he can, he ignores the rule of law to do what he wants to do. These are facts that only the highly deluded do not see.

If President Obama really believes that individuals should not have to give up rights to an “all-powerful sovereign,” then why is everything he is doing directed toward that end?

More and more people are waking up to the fact that Mr. Obama’s presidency is a failed presidency. He says one thing and then does something completely different. He says he respects the 2nd Amendment, when it is patently clear he does not as merely one example. I was taught that actions speak louder than words. It’s fine to say things, but the proof is in the pudding. While Mr. Obama gives a good speech, why should anyone believe anything he says based on his reputation for lying?

Please notice that the second sentence references the international order that [he along with others] have worked for generations to build. That one statement alone tells us what we need to know. What is this international order? Mr. Obama doesn’t really define it but what else can it be than the same international order that George Bush Sr, David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, and way too many others have all discussed and longed to achieve? Is Mr. Obama’s “international order” different from theirs? It can’t be.

This coming international order will only include the “ordinary” people in so far as we are valuable to the globalists, as many have stated. This coming international order has no room or patience for individuals who want to self-govern. The coming international order only has room for two types of people: 1) the elite, and 2) those who are valuable to them. Everyone else is disposable.

Giving a speech is one thing. Following your own advice is another. President Obama simply gives speeches, but does not follow his own advice.

  • […] Among the many things Mr. Rickards points out is the fact that he firmly believes the economy has gone past the point of no return. There is no fixing it because it can’t be fixed. All that’s left is to watch it fail. This might explain why the globalists (via President Obama and others) have become even bolder in what is being said to the world as I noted in another article regarding Mr. Obama’s speech to those gathered in Brussels.
