Revelation 13: Beasts Out of the Sea/Earth

In Revelation 13, we are introduced to two beasts: one comes from the “sea” and the other from the earth. This article is a brief synopsis of the entire lesson that was recorded on video and can be viewed at this link: Revelation 13: Beasts Out of the Sea & Earth
1 The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. 2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. 3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast. 4 People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?” (Revelation 13:1-4)
In Revelation 13, John is given information about: The Antichrist and The False Prophet. These two agents of Satan are used by him to create the final phase of the final one-world kingdom that will become established throughout the earth during the final seven year Tribulation. It seems the reason John was given this information is so that believers living during that coming day will understand who these men are when they appear. All of this continues the activity of Satan from Revelation 12.
The beast out of the sea from Revelation 13:1-10 likely represents his rising from within the ranks of humanity. He will be used by Satan to destroy the rest of the woman’s offspring. It seems unlikely that a literal sea is meant here because the beast represents a real person and to have that person come out of the sea would not make sense. This particular beast literally comes out of the abyss (Revelation 11:7; 17:8).
John stressed three things about this beast:
- his conspiracy with the dragon (vv. 3-4)
- his success in deceiving the whole world (vv. 3-4, 8), and
- his success in temporarily defeating God’s saints (vv. 6-7a)
This is the final empire of Daniel 7 and John clearly sees this ruler as the embodiment of that final empire. But a question arises; how does this Beast gain control over the entire world?
5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. 6 It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7 It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. (Revelation 13:5-8)
This beast – Antichrist – is given authority (by Satan) and he possesses qualities of three animals:
- Leopard’s swiftness, agility, vigilance, craftiness, and fierce cruelty
- Bear’s brutality, and
- Lion’s strength and majesty
In Daniel 7, these animals represented THREE kingdoms:
- Greece (Leopard; brilliancy)
- Medo-Persia (Bear; massive power)
- Babylon (Lion; absolute autocratic rule)
This final Antichrist will exercise traits of all three kingdoms. This beast appears to die (v3) and rises again, which will likely be the main cause of people of the world worshiping him. They will naturally wonder who can stand against this guy who rose from the dead? This resurrection – whether real or from the use of deception – will mimic the resurrection of Jesus.
Because of this, the Beast/Antichrist increases his power over global society using deception and blasphemy. Because he blasphemes God and nothing happens, this will make him even more respected and seen as invincible, greatly increasing his hold over humanity.
Antichrist will use surveillance, deception and pitting people against people to succeed. This brings us to the answer to our question above regarding how Antichrist gains control of the entire world. Apart from the resurrection and his blasphemies, he will need an infrastructure that will make it easy for him to know what people are doing and to use that infrastructure to harness full control of the planet.
This brings us to the concept of “Smart Cities.” We’ve all heard about things like “smart appliances.” This is where an appliance can receive Wi-Fi allowing it to “talk” with another machine over the Internet of Things. The Wi-Fi based Google or Alexa units are units that allow people to “talk” to that unit and actually receive a response back. The reason it can do this aside from the programming that goes into it is that it always must be listening. On a much greater scale, a smart city is a city that contains many connections via Wi-Fi and much of this happens in the background without people even noticing or in most cases, caring. One definition of a smart city goes like this:
A smart city is a municipality that uses information and communication technologies (ICT) to increase operational efficiency, share information with the public and improve both the quality of government services and citizen welfare.
If we were to break that apart, we would learn quite quickly that though it sounds good because it seeks to provide safety, security and convenience, the reality is that it cannot do these things unless the government takes much greater control over the cities. The overarching mission of a smart city is to optimize city functions and drive economic growth while improving quality of life for its citizens using smart technology and data analysis. Characteristics Include:
- a technology-based infrastructure
- environmental initiatives
- a high functioning public transportation system
- a confident sense of urban planning, and
- humans to live and work within the city and utilize its resources
In a Smart City, a strong bond exists between government and private sector. What this means is that corporations and government work hand in hand, not for our benefit really, but to promote and push “climate change” and these corporations do this because of something called, ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance). ESG will ultimately become part of the coming social credit scores to society, just like those which exist in China now. Far fetched? Do the research and find out which companies are currently involved in this ESG process.
Smart Cities will include [1]:
- Internet of Things where everything is connected via Wi-Fi
- Digital ID cards disguised as “health passports” or SMART Health Cards
- UN wants no one left behind – all will participate in this system
- Movements, activities monitored via massive surveillance system
- Weaponry via robots like in San Francisco against civilians
- Smart appliances that can be controlled or turned off by bureaucrats
- Facial recognition software
- Social Credit Scoring system
- Carbon footprint constantly monitored
- Street Lights that can kill people or use PUKE Ray Technology
- All of this represents the coming digital prison they are now creating
The way they will bring this about is through: SAFETY, CONVENIENCE and SECURITY. These three things are what most people seek. Because of it, most people want all of these things and are willing to give up freedoms (often without realizing it), in exchange for them.
What is our response to Smart Cities?
- RESIST Non-violently!
- Get out of them and move to the rural areas if possible
- Develop and strengthen ties with people in small communities
- Rely on one another for mutual support
In other words, become a REFUSNIK and live that way. The more you embrace small communities, the greater your life will be. We cannot do anything about the corruption of the government. It seems that so many people who appear to be conservatives while running for office, turn out to be Marxists after getting elected. I think that’s all part of the Left’s plan to install people who ultimately work for them and because of that, their loyalty is not with the people of the US or even with the Constitution.
To understand what is coming and what is being built now throughout the globe takes the shock out of it. Being involved in politics seems a hopeless endeavor. I’m not saying we should not vote. I’m simply saying that the USA may be past the point of no return.
Take a good, long hard look at your situation. What can you change about it? What is described in Revelation 13 does not happen until the last three and a half years of the Tribulation. The Tribulation has not started yet, but it is coming. However, before it officially begins, the reality is that the infrastructure that the Antichrist will use to his benefit must be built and it is being built now.
