Pray for Chinese Believers

I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas time where you celebrated the risen Savior because, without Him, there is absolutely no point to Christmas at all. As I approach my 69th birthday in life, I have become far less enamored with all the tinsel, glitz and glamor of the Christmas season that starts long before Thanksgiving in America. It’s a bit frustrating to see just how commercialized Christmas has become. Because of that, I find myself less and less involved in the swapping of gifts in large scale, preferring to simply enjoy time with family.
Nonetheless, I hope your Christmas was renewing and relaxing and that you had plenty of time to focus on the actual reason for the season. Most know that Jesus was probably not born on December 25th, but it was simply a time chosen to celebrate His birthday. I think it most definitely should be celebrated, but I also believe the season has become way too commercialized these days and that takes away from the fact that Jesus was born into this world for a specific purpose; to live sinlessly and die painfully so that we might have the opportunity to receive the salvation He made possible because He took on the sins of the people of this world.
I also believe His birth, life, death and resurrection should be celebrated every day by believers everywhere even if no gifts are exchanged. After all, there is no greater gift than the gift that Jesus gave us in order that we might receive and embrace life and life eternally. Christmas is a great time to not only celebrate Jesus but to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28. I hope you were able to do that at some point.
Moving on, the Lord appears to have been doing something fully beyond my control and it started several months ago out of the blue. I began to notice that folks in China found my blog and apparently began sharing the word with others because the growth in visitor numbers began seriously increasing way beyond what I would have ever imagined. I’m assuming the people who found my blog are Christians. Why else would anyone come to this site and read through the many articles that I’ve written?
The numbers of people visiting this site from China started out very modestly with just a few in July of this year. However, it wasn’t long before those numbers went from just a few (five or so), to 355 in September. By November, that number from China had grown to just over 2,500 visitors per day. By the end of November, it had grown to 4,722. Then it really took off and by the week of December 22, that number had grown to just under 17,000 people from China viewing the articles on my page. This does not include people from other nations including the USA and Canada.
I also noticed, by the way, that the number of visitors and readers (aside from subscribers), here in the USA and other western countries became inverted. While the number of visitors throughout the USA had been normally the highest number of people reading articles on this blog, it had reduced to less than 100 per day. Now, it is way less than that. I have no idea why.
The largest number of folks from China viewing my blog in one day was December 27 with 5,072 people visiting and reading articles. It was such an interesting phenomenon that I had honestly thought about paying for a service that would allow people from China to translate my articles automatically into their language. My main concern was that if I did that, it might make my blog much more noticeable to governmental authorities in China.
However, while I was praying about this and contemplating options, I noticed that something happened on December 28. All of sudden, the number of folks from China went down to absolutely zero. I couldn’t account for that until I remembered that reading the Bible in China is essentially outlawed. I’m guessing that because of the large numbers of folks in China (and Singapore, Laos, Taiwan, India, Oman, Kenya, Turkey, Iraq, Argentina, Indonesia, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, the UK and other areas of the world), the authorities in China got wind of this blog and simply blocked it.
How do you go from over 5,000 people visiting per day to zero? Shutting off my page there in China is the only explanation I can think of. However, later in the day on the 28th, the numbers rose to 75 from China. Today, December 29, it is 3.
Please do not hear what I am not saying. I don’t care about numbers. I don’t have advertising on this blog where those advertisers need to have a certain number of visitors to be satisfied. I also don’t charge people to read my articles. There is no paywall. Everything is here to read for free. What I care about is the fact that believers in need have access to the articles on this blog. If not on this blog, then hopefully from other blog sites.
I believe the Lord will take what I write to those who need to hear it and apparently, there is a huge need in China and that part of the world, where believers are kept from accessing material that will help them understand the Bible better and their relationship with the Lord. What I am most concerned about are the amount of Christians in China who are being shut out, most likely by the Communist government there.
In fact, in many places throughout the world, Christians are being seriously persecuted by governmental authorities (or militant Islamists), by removing their Bibles, making it a crime punishable by incarceration if believers are found with a Bible or simply for being a Christian. Yet, those believers are seriously hungry for God’s Word and teaching about His Word.
Imagine living in an area or nation where it is forbidden to own or read the Bible, worship with other believers or be a pastor of a church. Imagine it. It is difficult for me to imagine, but understandably, thinking about the constraints placed on Christians in those areas of the world makes me want to reach out to them even more.
The tremendous censorship that is happening in many areas of the world today will at some point in the future, be the experience of all believers throughout the entire world during the upcoming Tribulation period of seven years, when God pours out His wrath onto this world due to rigid unbelief. During this upcoming campaign of terror, believers will be hemmed in and hard pressed from every side. Many will pay the ultimate price and lose their lives in martyrdom.
My wife and I have been reading through the book of Revelation as this year comes to a close. We will then start all over in Genesis on January 1, 2026. Interestingly enough in reading through Revelation, it becomes plain that persecution directed by the Antichrist will be directed at every believer. There may be some who escape if they have designed their lives to circumvent the restrictions created by Antichrist, who will, by the midpoint of the Tribulation install roadblocks onto society that will keep people thoroughly hemmed in. No one will be able to buy or sell without taking the mark of the Beast (Revelation 13). Beyond this, God pours out His wrath in the form of seven seals, seven trumpets and seven bowls onto the earth.
For those who are alive during the Tribulation, as Jesus tells us in Matthew 24, it will be an unprecedented time of unchecked evil. Millions will die, if not from the seals, trumpets or bowls, then from the direct persecution of the Antichrist.
Yet, in some areas of the world now, like China, believers have been under the oppressive thumb of their technocratic governments, telling them what they can and cannot do and even imprisoning those who go beyond the boundaries set by those governments.
Would you please join me in praying for our brothers and sisters in China and various other parts of the world where persecution is solidly against them, where their governments have the ability to turn off the Internet or block pages like StudyGrowKnowBlog.com because it goes against their policies?
I have no idea why the numbers of people who visit this blog vary so significantly, nor do I understand why over 5,000 folks from China visit my blog one day and zero the next, unless it’s simply government censorship.
This blog has been posting articles for over 10 years. It was only a year or two into things when I posted something about Islam that someone in an Islamic country apparently did not like. Because of that, government representatives from that country complained to WordPress. I received an email from WordPress telling me about the situation and they also told me they intended to do nothing about it. They also told me that it was very likely that country would block my page because the one article was “offensive” to Muslims.
Muslims, like globalists have something in common. That is, they hate Christianity and want it destroyed. Islamists go one step further and believe it is their obligation to not only destroy Christians and Christianity, but to do the same with all Jewish people. In fact, they believe their final Mahdi cannot come to the earth and rise in power until every last Jewish person is killed. Kind of reminds me of those who believe in Dominionism/Seven Mountain Mandate. They believe Christians must take control of the seven major areas of society (Education, Religion, Family, Business, Government/Military, Arts/Entertainment, Media), and bring them under God’s control before Jesus can return to this earth. Of course, this latter group does not endorse using genocide to accomplish it, however, both groups are in error, in my opinion.
It seems as though technocrats and globalists continue pushing their censorship and I assume it will only worsen as time moves toward the start of the coming Tribulation period. Once inside that seven year period, we can expect things to seriously ramp up.
I do believe God is in charge of what happens on this blog and how it is able to be seen throughout the world. He can certainly help believers living under hugely restrictive governments find ways to circumvent those restrictions. But whether the Lord chooses to do that or not, I am praying that, if not StudyGrowKnowBlog gets there, He would open doors for other biblical blog articles to reach those believers.
I recall several months ago praying that the Lord, if He saw fit, would get the articles I write on this blog out to Christians who need to read them. I believe He did that and maybe He is showing me that I need to continue to lift that up to Him on a daily basis.
Will you join me in prayer for that please for those believers in parts of the world that do not have access to Bibles and even fellowship with other believers, things that most American Christians take for granted? God can certainly bypass the government censors to feed His sheep. They need spiritual food so pray the Lord of the Harvest would provide for them from either my blog or someone else’s.
As we move into 2026, I think it is imperative that above all things, we need to be ambassadors for Jesus, spreading His Word, His truth, His Gospel to those in need and we dare not forget about those who live under heavy persecution/censorship in countries controlled by godless governments.

Thank you for this, dear brother Fred.
Hallelujah that many people in China were led to your blogs and thanks be to God that WordPress ignored the objections of the Islamist who was offended by the Truth. I will be praying for the Father to open a way for His Word to draw His sheep in China to our Lord and Saviour 🙏♥️🙏
