To Boycott or Not to Boycott?

Sometimes we have to make hard choices about boycotting. You can get to a point where you wind up boycotting just about everything when you don’t need to do that. Concentrate on those businesses who make their policies public and actually brag about what they do. This in-your- face, triple-dog-dare-ya may be the reason Christians avoid a particular company and it may be the only reason to do so.

Hebrews 4: What is the “Rest” Mentioned?

We’re all tempted to be discouraged and to throw in the towel. We seem to fight ourselves and our desires to continue serving God or doing what we really want to do. I’ve been there. You’ve probably been there too. This is why the NT writers emphasized persevering so much. It’s not that we can lose salvation. It’s that we have to work against our sin nature, which tries desperately to continue to control us. We must persevere in ignoring the dictates of that sin nature. It is not easy continuing to live the Christian life. It is made more difficult because we are constantly fighting against our sin nature’s desire to stop serving God.

Defining Hate Speech

This of course is the antithesis of true freedom, where people are allowed to say what they think. The goal of Marxism is to create a society where everyone expresses the same beliefs and woe to those who have differing thoughts and allow those thoughts to be verbalized. How many times do we need to read about past regimes who devoted themselves to removing the freedom of speech from citizens or, for that matter, guns?

God of All Comfort

God is the God of all comfort. He longs to comfort us, but this does not mean that “bad” things will never happen to us, does it? No, it does not and implies that “bad” things will happen. God never promises to keep bad things away from us. He allows them for a very important reason, which we’ll get to in a moment. In fact, He comforts His children who undergo various types of trials and problems in this life, whether in the secular, political, or personal realms.

Q Update

Folks, either things will come to a head the first part of this coming year or it won’t. I have no real idea and cannot make any predictions or guarantees. The truth appears to be that we will see some major changes in our society. It is interesting to note that Q is fast becoming a world-wide phenomenon. People everywhere are waking up to the fact that globalists, for their own self-aggrandizement, have been enslaving people for too long and people want out from under it all.

Voter Fraud Affecting Elections?

When President Trump became president, one of the things he did was to issue an executive order (EO) that gave the authority over our voting system to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It is now the responsibility of the DHS to ensure that our vote is safe and that the only people actually voting are citizens of the USA. No one else gets to vote, but we see in California a law was passed that gives illegals the right to vote. The federal government needs to come in and not only denounce but do what they can to nullify those laws since they go against the Constitution.

Bible VS Book of Mormon

Something is seriously wrong here. Why would God have spent so much time providing hard evidence throughout history that the claims of the Bible are true, yet where the Book of Mormon is concerned – which also purports to be holy Scripture that is comparable to the Bible – there’s essentially nothing by way of historical, archaeological, or textual proofs of what is contained within the Book of Mormon?

Is It This or That?

The Jews could not grasp what Jesus said. In Matthew 24, He used the word “this” to reference a generation and it seems clear enough (though there is plenty of disagreement), that He ultimately was referring to the generation that would be alive during the coming Tribulation, which would end as He returned. However, there is also a near/far view because things certainly started with the generation living at the time of Jesus, didn’t it?

Don’t Be Conformed but Be Transformed

Do you want power to do what Paul outlines in Romans 12:9-21? It is in these verses that Paul provides numerous examples of what it means to actually live the Christian life. That is quite a list, but who can do that?! Who can actually live from the inside out the things that Paul highlights there?

Can People Be Good?

There is an implied question between verses 23 and 24 with the use of the word “for.” Why did Barnabas do what he did? Because “…he was a good man…” (v. 24). Barnabas was a “good” man according to the Scriptures. But wait, I thought God said that all have sinned and fallen short of His glory and that our righteousness is filthy? Yes, God has said that and it is true.
